Sauberkeit, grosses schönes Zimmer, sehr feines Frühstück, modernes, sympathisches Hotel
Etwas wenig Ablagefläche im Bad

Es war sehr sauber und modern. Man hatte alles was man braucht im Zimmer.

Everything! It was amazing. Worth every penny.

The staff were exceptional, and all very friendly and very helpful. Nice that all rooms look over the sea.
Hotel is on a steep hill and not ideal for anyone with mobility difficulties. We had to drive from our bedroom down to the restaurant and pool as my wife is on crutches

It was extremely neat and clean. We loved everything about it! The staff was super friendly, very attentive and always willing to help us out.
We went there for our honeymoon, they offered us a complimentary wine bottle and the accepted to help me plan a surprise with rose petals before our arrival.
The room was cleaned everyday (new towels, new sleepers, water bottles…). And the restaurant was delicious.
We really don’t have anything bad to say about this hotel but if we have to look for a negative point it would be the fact that he swimming pool has to close everyday at 6pm :-/

The breakfast, the facilities, the rooms, the cleanliness, the swimming pool, the location (close to the beach and the restaurants) but especially the staff members who were so welcoming.
5.0 / 5.0
Loved the views and the facilities, the staff were wonderful and it felt like a really luxurious stay. Breakfast was included and wonderful, the pool was beautiful, the bathroom was beautiful, even walking into reception was breathtaking!
It would be better if the pool opened earlier, 10am is quite late if you get up at 7am like we do, and especially in July heat.
The walk up the hill and the 52 steps is a bit of a problem, we are fit and healthy but we are also 62 years old (!) accessibility in these times shouldn't be overlooked, for a new hotel the owners should be making accessibility a priority.
We saw it was an adults only hotel but only for some people as there were some children there during our stay - we didn't mind the children being there but we would have liked to have brought our granddaughter to use the pool with us sometimes. It feels a bit unfair to let some people stay with children and not others.

The people who work at the Blue Elephant are exceptional. Special praise for Claudio, Vagellis in the Pool Bar and Breakfast restaurant
The restaurant upstairs is very good and once again Niki and Annie looked after us superbly. the meal we had was exceptional. The Lime Illusion is one of the best desserts i have ever experienced anywhere in the world
They need to have the bar open on a Monday afternoon

great location. lovely views.
we were given the room directly opposite & very close to the restaurant seating area. our balcony & window was in full view of dining guests. this completely ruins your privacy as a couple in the evening right up until we went to sleep. we had to draw the curtains which is a shame and prevented us from looking at the view / sitting on the balcony or walking about the room / lying on the bed relaxing with curtains open. they only give you two tiny milks with the tea and coffee which only enables you to have two hot drinks- very skrimpy for the price you pay and strange how they give you so many sachets of coffee and tea without enough milk. the floor of the room is not hoovered properly when room service attends. the gym is not as good as we thought it would be - the photos make it look better -very limited equipment - the Dumbells only go up to 22kg. the pool is only open till 6pm

Absolutely beautiful hotel with stunning views 😍 so much so we booked to stay an extra night
We had a studio room with a shared pool overlooking the sea and it was incredible. All staff including reception and bar staff were extremely helpful and couldn't do enough for us, thankyou for our amazing stay!
It was perfect!

The breakfast was amazing

Room looked very nice and the view from it was stunning. staff was friendly.
For this type of a hotel several things surprised us: cappuccino at breakfast was extra charge, no coffee machine or kettle for making coffee or tea in the room. Fitness was only open from 9 to 17, exactly the hours one spends outside and the pool was cold. Sauna is extra charge of which one is not informed when booking.

Although we had a very short stay, we were impressed by this hotel and their staff! On our way to Chania when we saw it from the village of Almyrida (can't miss it, its up on a hill and looks gorgeous) we decided to go and try the restaurant. The friendliness of the staff and the whole ambience made us cancel our booking in Chania city and stay there. Feeling of elegance and serenity and the view...oh the view! Reception helpful and accommodating, the rooms look better in real life than the pics. That's a first! Buffet breakfast was splendid with lots of options (unlike most greek hotels that offer jam, boiled eggs, toast and call it a day). Wish we could stay longer, highly recommend!!!
No kettle in the room but receptionist offered us hot water in a thermos, so was able to have my cuppa at the balcony and enjoy the magnificent view...

The property is very nice, looks great and has great views over the ocean.
Staff are young and (with one or two exceptions) seemed to be uninterested and unhelpful. Should not have to ask repeatedly for things at breakfast (although food was good). Not allowed a late check out (except for a large fee). Having paid extra for a plunge pool on balcony, which we could not use due to constant rain throughout our 3 day stay, I would have expected a more flexible approach.

Restaurant staff were really nice. Food was good. Good drink selection. View from the room was great. Walk-in shower was nice and the pool outside was nice.
The gym hours. They need to be extended and better equipment needs to be in there. No jacuzzi on site. The location is far from everything so taxis are expensive.
No kettle/tea cups/coffee machine or iron in the room. Cleaning schedule should be increased to once a day instead of every other day.
3.5 / 5.0
The room and balcony sizes were very good and the views were great. The shower was excellent and beds were also comfortable as were the pillows. Staff in the restaurant were very very friendly and helpful
Overall the hotel felt rather austere and not comfortable. There was not enough storage in the bedrooms (and we just travel with cabin luggage!), balcony furniture is hard plastic and not comfortable at all. Cleaning your room every 2 days is odd but they really should empty bins every day (bearing in mind in Greece toilet paper goes in a bin and not down the toilet!!) and the floors needed better cleaning but the cleaning staff worked hard and I suspect were understaffed. The hotel is set on a steep hill so would not be suitable for anyone with absolutely any sort of mobility issue. Most rooms need to be accessed by steep stairs so again could again be difficult. Bearing this in mind they really should have porters to help carry cases to your room, lugging luggage around on your first night does not give a good first impression nor does the vacant look of a staff member when asked if there is someone to help carry bags! The pool area is too small and there are not enough sun lounges to meet needs. In total there were 24 sun beds but there are 28 or so rooms, so no where near what was needed. The hotel would argue that most rooms come with their own plunge pool and sun beds but as all rooms/balconies are north facing they are of no use if you want to sit in the sun. In addition between 8-10 of the beds around the pool are also north facing and most of the remainder are in the shade from about 4pm. So get up early if you want a sunny spot to lie in. Generally this was an odd hotel, spacious rooms and great views but lacks soul and a sense of real comfort. The restaurant was 3 times the cost of anything we had in the village and was not really very good. The Chef clearly has some technical skills but needs to work on dishes more as they lack, seasoning, flavour, texture and finesse.

very clean and new property, friendly and helpful staff.
The food in their restaurant is unimaginable tasty, great approach, fabulous presentation and big portions.
Very good breakfast included.
Room was meant to be with sea view, but the view was to the restaurant and just from the corner of a building you can slightly see the sea, so I would call it side sea view. Truly sea view option I guess is available only for rooms with private pools.

Everything - It was stunning on the eye and the staff make it the incredible place it is. Big shout out to the restaurant/bar staff who could not make you feel any more welcome, they are all so friendly and a big mention to the bar tenders who make the most incredible cocktails! Espresso Martinis/Pina coladas being my main go too. We cannot fault this hotel and hoping to return next year.

Breakfast was superb. Lots of choice to suit all appetites and taste. The view from the rooms was fantastic and so relaxing. Very short walk to the bars and restaurants in the village in the evening.
No kettle in room so if a cup of tea was wanted when waking up room service was required at an extra charge.

Modern ,spacious rooms, great shower room. good air on, good Wi-Fi, comfortable bed, small drinks fridge. excellent food from restaurant , good brekky,
fabulous view,
free parking.
Acrylic nail service with a skilled technician
Friendly, happy, helpful, staff throughout
There are no T&C facilities in room.
Proximity to neighbours when in a shared pool room, more-so when neighboured with kids and those without. This could be easily fixed by reservation allocation.

Probably the most beautiful view in almyrida.
Combined with the warm welcome and kindness of the staff, it becomes a place you never want to leave, where we didn't feel the pressure of mass tourism as in other places.
The private pool with view on the sea makes the experience even more incredible.
Beautiful breakfast and restaurant. You can eat and order drinks nearly all day at the pool.
A bit too much light in the room (coming mainly for the fridge and air conditioner)

Our stay was great, new hotel, well designed, lovely sea view. The rooms are pleasant and very clean, huge beds, clean and soft sheets and towels, great showers and high-quality toiletries. There is enough storage space, good lighting, efficient air conditioner. The staff is very kind and helpful, the breakfasts are varied and very tasty. We enjoyed the beautiful and clean pool and the gym. A good base for travelling around Chania and West Crete.
It would be great if there was a coffee machine or a kettle in the room.
