the restaurant is delicious and the live music and atmosphere in the lobby at night is fun.
the bathrooms need updating. showers are difficult to use. the bathrooms don’t fit with the quality of the hotel.

location - this was the best place to stay in the downtown area. breakfast was fabulous!
happened to wake up in the middle of the night to see cockroach on the wall behind the headboard of the bed, there was a broken smoke detector beeping all night - had to wait for maintenance to come up in the middle of the night (ended up just taking out batteries), smell of must throughout the building, workout room was horrible- one treadmill one elliptical a few weights etc.

The front entrance was quite lovely with plenty of
comfortable seating in front of the two fireplaces.
The saltwater pool was tucked away from public
viewing in very cozy setting.
The room had a musty smell despite having a
dehumidifier in it. I also questioned its
cleanliness since the make-up mirror had
smudges on it, the bottom of tub appeared
discolored, and books on the fireplace mantel
were stuck to it. There were also numerous cracks
in the ceiling and a tile needed to be replaced in
the bathroom.

The Inn itself, the staff, and Oscar in the dining room.
A/C was loud (Room 209). There was a lot of noise in the room above us.

The historical ambiance was the best part of the property.
The room was very dated and unclean. Dust everywhere.

The hotel is a very unique older hotel. I loved the restaurant and bar area.

Very nice inn from a beautiful Ara of its time.
Atmosphere was exceptional, takes you back in time

The restaurant experience was terrific. They had a small band in the lobby. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious. This is a really old hotel, but they make you feel like its home.
I prefer fluffier pillows

The hotel is beautiful. It was exceptionally clean and inviting. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff was very friendly.
The only thing we did not like was getting our luggage into the hotel. Since there is no ramp and only steps, we had to carry our belongings into the lobby area to put them on a cart. However, a young lady at the check-in desk graciously assisted us with this task.

Everything!

The bed was extremely comfortable and all of the staff that I encountered were very friendly.
The shower curtain in my bathroom had mildew all over the bottom of it. The toilet paper holder was rusty. And the room was absolutely freezing when the blinds were open. The pictures on the website are extremely misleading. I was disappointed.

The hotel is a majestic gem in a beautiful old town. As soon as you walk in, you will want to take a seat by one of the wood burning fireplaces and sip a cocktail or coffee. The staff is exceptional and service is superb
The food and small bites are delicious and available both in the dinning room and lounge
We stayed in a suite which was quite large and beautifully decorated, comfy bed and bathrobes and good quality bath products. And two gas fireplaces!
Hotel is walking distance to many attractions and the lovely shops and restaurants in downtown Aiken
Coffee and pastries are available in the lobby but the rooms do not have coffee pots.
Just a slight inconvenience... but they do offer room service!

We had confirmation from Booking.com and the Wilcox, but when we got to the hotel, they had the confirmation for us, but didn’t have a room for us. The main reason for going to Aiken was to stay at the Wilcox. Very frustrating and very disappointing!!

Beautiful antiques. Nice history. High bed which I do love. Places lemon lime water by bed at night. Turn down service.
Maid service changed bulb in bathroom and left fast fro. The light socket all over bathroom sink and personal items. Food in restaurant was mediocre for such a high price.
