Upon arrival we noticed lots of trash had been piled up on the side of the house. Within 24 hours of being checked in we encountered several cockroaches in the kitchen and in the bedrooms. We traveled with my entire family (10 people). The dishwasher was broken which was a huge downside since we had some many people. We chose a house that came with a dishwasher for this reason. TV was broken in one of the rooms the only issue with that is my cousin that is autistic chose that room and had multiple melt downs over the broken tv. We contacted the host and after several days the trash was finally removed. Nothing else was fixed. We were all severely disappointed in the cleanliness of the house

The positive about the house was that the layout of the number of bedrooms and bathrooms worked very well for our family. Short 5 minute walk to the beach along a narrow concrete pathway. If using a wagon/stroller to haul items to the beach, it will just fit the width of the path.
Property itself needs quite a bit of attention. Had to deal with an outdoor water leak/broken line. Septic/drain field failed to the point that if the sewage did not flow through the parking area and into the street it would have backed up into the house. There was garbage left outside the front door from the previous renters that was not picked up or placed in trash cans prior to our arrival. Grill was left in unacceptable condition with aluminum pans remaining and nasty grill grates. Numerous interior cosmetic issues from peeling wallpaper, laundry room bifold door not attached, clogged sinks and tub, broken disposal, evidence of water damage on the ceiling. More items but this gives a future renter an idea of house conditions. Being a real estate professional for 17 years, it was disappointing that property management doesn't do a better job staying on top of the small issues before they become big ones.

King and queen bedrooms up stairs along with Kitchen and table for 6/8. Downstairs queen bedroom and 3 other bedrooms with 6 twin beds two having twin pull outs making total of 8 twin beds. Older house with a 5-7 minute walk to beach. Small pool with jacuzzi.

This house was perfect for our group of 12 with family members of all ages. We had many children and the room arrangements worked perfectly. We loved the shaded walk to the beach on a private pathway. The beach was not crowded. It's a great family atmosphere.

Been going to HHI a long time. This is a solid house in sea pines with nice pool and access to the beach.
Would have been a 5 star review except the house wasn’t clean upon our arrival to the point we wondered if anyone actually came. It needed to be cleaned by us (bathrooms were terrible) as well as a repeat cleaning crew. Vacasa said I would be getting reimbursed so fingers crossed.

Loved the property and where it was located. It is perfect for big groups that aren't too picky. Linens were plentiful and clean, but the house over all needs a little TLC. It is a bit dated. The kitchen needs to be cleaned out and organized as there is A LOT of things, such as 5 coffee makers. Everything is in a different place and I know that is due to renters, but it could be organized and if so, I believe others would try to follow suit. There wasn't a mixer, so we bought one at a second hand store. It is there for future renters. Location to beach was great. Would rent again.

We stayed in this house for a week long family vacation (13 people total, 8 adults, 5 kids) and this house was the last available (had to change dates). It was a tiny bit cheaper than the surrounding houses but not nearly as nice. The house is very outdated and needs a big upgrade as the paint and wallpaper was peeling, and the overall look/theme of the house was old. When we had the agent book we didn't realize that the main living areas were upstairs so people with mobility issues had a lot of problems getting to the kitchen/living room, so be aware of that. Beds were comfy, kitchen was small but all appliances worked and had a lot of kitchenware, balconies were nice. Pool was nice, but the hot tub jets are part of the "pool heating" extra cost, so the hot tub is stagnant unless you pay extra. So when you read that it costs extra to "heat the pool" that means turn on the jets for the hot tub. All the rooms have TVs and cable, internet was pretty good. The location was great having a private beach path and a 5 min walk to the beach (private and not crowded even during peak season), and we were close to lots of shopping and restaurants. We got eat alive by mosquitoes in the pool area/walking path but could have been overdue for a spray (bug spray is an easy fix). Overall it's okay if its a last option, but I would pay a little more for a much nicer house in the same area.

This home is not maintained well. Everything is old and needs paint. The family room does not provide seating for more than 8 people to gather comfortably. We had to clean, vacuum, and mop the floors. It is the house just inside the gate to Sea Pines and the furthest from the beach.

Good location. Close to grocery store. Nice layout. Short walk to beach where not many people were. Good overall but that was because we were around family.
I would say the house needs updates. Extra mattresses had stains all over. Garbage area was a bit messy and the pool clouded up after 1 day. Shutters on outside broken. The house would be beautiful with some TLC and maintenance.

The house was basically clean, grill, dishwasher, washer, and drier all worked, and the house was stocked with some essentials like dish washing soap, toilet paper, sample sizes of soap. The house is older and in need of repairs. The pool was very nice. The beach was a bit of a walk on a narrow path making it extremely hard to push a beach wheelchair over. The lower front bedroom was very warm; we could not find a vent in this room for air conditioning. Two of the beds were a mattress on wheels under a twin bed. One of the beds is leaning inward. All in all this house was adequate to our needs. We did not contact the property manager.

First of all, you do a great job of responding to issues at a rental property. All of our needs were immediately addressed, kudos to you. This particular property needs a handyman for a solid two weeks to fix things.

Perfect place for a summer vacation
Great place. 5 min walking to the beach. 3 miles away from Harbor Town. Miles of biking trails. Nice shopping area at Sea Pines. House was clean and well furnished.Only real downside was the fact that the pool was over chlorinated (and stayed over chlorinated for the whole week), what did not stop our kids to jump on it. I will certainly come back to all the things that I could not do this time.
