About this cabin rental

Families have enjoyed relaxing getaways at Valentine Lakeside for more than 65 years. The quaint vacation destination is on the quiet, breezy banks of the Llano River in Kingsland, Texas, near where the Llano River meets the Colorado River to form Lake LBJ. Valentine’s 19 guest rooms range from 1-room efficiencies to 3-bedroom homes, all with fully stocked kitchens, charcoal grills and picnic tables. The RV camp has 8 full hookups and a bath house. Valentine is a great choice for any of life’s celebrations, reunions, retreats and company gatherings. It’s also a base for fishing tournaments, a temporary home for Winter Texans, and a guest house for locals. Valentinians enjoy a heart-shaped pool, swimming in the lake, boat lifts, water-toy rentals and an on-site essentials store. Plenty of chairs at the shoreline give guests a place to fish and hang out. Mature pecan trees provide a shady canopy for hammock naps. Guests make s’mores in the fire pit and borrow lawn games to play on lakeside terraces. Despite its remote vibe, Valentine Lakeside is a half mile away from a groceries, restaurants, bars, shops, coffee houses and music venues. Those who love exploring small towns head to nearby Marble Falls, Llano and Burnet. Plenty of wineries, breweries and distilleries are close. Golfers choose from eight courses within a half hour drive. The pass-through lake in the Highland Lakes chain is perfect for waterskiing, jet skiing, boating and fishing. Valentine is in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, where there are festivals and markets year-round. It’s one hour from Austin, two hours from San Antonio and less than four hours from Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston. Cabin with porch at lakeside resort on Lake LBJ with plenty of amenities on site to fill your get away with fun activities for the whole family. One-room unit in a duplex, furnished with one queen and one full bed. Up to 4 guests per unit. Day guest charge is $10/person/day, limit 2. Room includes access to Valentine Lakeside amenities for fishing, swimming and boating. Boat lifts available for rent. Kayaks, canoe, SUP and swim mats available for rent. This is NOT a pet-friendly unit, but we do have some units that allow dogs up to 100 pounds $50 pet fee for one, $85 for two. No more than two dogs allowed. Must indicate when booking that you are bringing a dog.

Clean rustic cabin. No frills but everything you need. I would suggest a grab bar in the shower but everything else was fine. Helpful manager. We enjoyed the fishing. Would have done more but it rained.

My friends and I stayed at the Casita for an extended weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there! The Casita is nestled in a quiet corner of Valentine Lakeside Resort just steps away from LBJ and has plenty of room to accommodate 5 people. It had everything we needed to grill out and create new memories exactly as we had hoped. I also rented a slip for my wakeboarding boat which was very convenient, well-built, and just the right size. Pat and Susan are wonderful, very hospitable, and so much fun!! This resort takes you back in time and brings out the inner kid in you and your guests. Worth every penny!! We will be back!!
