Easy check in , close to all the places we wanted to visit! Would definitely book this place again !

This is a nice little cozy spot close to most of the cool things to do. Only change I would make would be to put a curtain up on the window inside but besides that it was great.

We very much enjoyed our vacation. The patio area was wonderful. The dog next door was not.

My stay here was great!! It's easy to check in, really clean and updated. Owners are very accommodating, responsive and thoughtful, such as providing earplugs for any outside noise. It’s very close to downtown, about a ten to twenty minute walk, and also a 20 minute drive from the Fort Sam Joint Military Base

Loved the cozy modern space! Super clean, and move the shower?

Overall very enjoyable. There are four units in the building being rented, and you may have another party staying in one of those rentals. As such, it may get a touch loud on occasion. But that is the exception not the rule. Pretty clean, comfortable, and within walking distance to the convention center and many food/ entertainment options if you don’t mind a 15-30 min walk. Also the public transportation picks up nearby, and it is very inexpensive.
4.7
property was as described; sheets were not well cleaned and required change after the first night; property manager was responsive but seemed unhappy with request for clean sheets; while I enjoyed the location and space, I would not return due to the unpleasant nature of communication with the property manager

I admire Patricia's entrepreneurship..
Wish I could give a better review but in all integrity and honesty ..cannot. The property title says B&B. No response when I asked about breakfast. Kitchen is tiny.. No microwave..only a skillet and hot plate to cook. Dogs barking/train noise regularly. View from my patio was a junked out yard..Air set at 72..Notebook said not to change..I was hot..Could not leave patio door open in evening..No screen. It is good location for Alamo Dome but not a good neighborhood for a single , physically challenged female to walk. Checkout was 10 AM. No way to store luggage..So left conference early.
. Thete are stero stairs..No elevator or handicapped access. Was very difficult for me..with suitcase..The bed was comfortable. I wish Patricia the best..but not my cup of tea.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at SJ4. The suite was clean & cozy. We felt safe and even walked to restaurants; definitely visit The Dakota, Cherrity Bar and Tony G’s. The neighborhood was quiet. After reading some of the reviews, we were concerned about the AC and window in the kitchenette. We stayed during cooler weather so didn’t have a huge issue with the AC but could imagine it being very warm in the summer. The window in the kitchenette is not huge, IF there are people heading up/down the stairs they MAY see you. There is only one other suite upstairs so it’s not like there is a steady stream of foot traffic staring in your window. If you need to sleep in pitch black you’ll want a sleep mask. There is a dog next door but only barked a few times and never during the night. The bathroom was amazing! We will stay again! Paulina was a fantastic host. *Checkout time IS at 10AM. If you have a chance visit the Williams museum next door and hopefully have the privilege of meeting Mr. Charles!

I am so pleased with everything about this spot. Not only is it close to downtown and the Riverwalk, it has great views of downtown and the Tower of the Americas.
Highlights: The bed, the amazing shower, temperature (the included box fan helps!), and decor makes this a relaxing location in between activities outside of the house.
We will definitely book here again in the future.

Everything was perfect and the owner responded quickly every time. She is amazing and I would stay here again and again.

My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay this past long weekend. We are both in the military at two different bases currently so we like finding nice places to stay when we have a chance to visit one another. The bathroom was the highlight of the place!
4.7
Except for the air conditioning malfunctioning on the last night in town it was a great spot with most everything I needed and some wonderful upgrades. The rainfall shower and soaker tub were amazing! While the owner did not know what the issue was I was able to research and unplug the unit for ten to twenty min then replug it in and it would work for several hours. I ended up having to do this three times.

Loved the balcony

This property was a cute little experience for me and my wife. It was within walking distance from a few hole in the wall restaurants and the Alamodome.

The owner Paulina was quick in her responses via e-mail and when I called her to ask for help in finding the parking gate. Pros - private covered parking, closeness to the Convention Center, price, soft bed, clean. Cons - it's a house that was converted to accommodate multiple guests so it can get loud when guests come and go on the stairs but that is expected, the neighborhood can be loud especially with the train noises but it was not a bother to me, that open glass window by the kitchenette area. Lots of reviewers have written about it. No one can see into your bedroom but they can see into your kitchenette area so just remember to be dressed when going into the kitchenette. For my future conferences in San Antonio, I definitely would come back.

We loved our stay and most definitely will book again in the future! The place was exactly as described and bed was so comfortable. Highly recommended.

This was a sweet and intimate spot for a getaway with my guy. It was perfectly located near the Riverwalk, the Alamo and many other attractions. Also only about 15-20min from the Airport. No complaints on the space! It was clean, had everything we needed and the communication was great!! Would definitly stay again :)

I really want to give this place a great review because I love what they did in this small space in the design choices, bath was a blast and loved the balcony porch spot .I have 2 problems that would keep me from booking next year if I was in San Antonio, first is a plate glass window that overlooks the stairs that has a chandelier shining right in that has no way to block the light when the neighbor comes in after me turns on the light,a curtain would fix that and second is no microwave, leftovers couldn’t be heated up on a hot plate that was either broken or I couldn’t figure out how to work.I hope the owners se this and put $200 on a easy fix

I have never booked a room like this so I was kind of nervous but I had a great experience.

Second-time staying here, we love it and enjoyed our stay.

It was our weekend getaway without children and the property did not disappoint. The shower in the bathroom was a bit of surprise with the draining process and no curtain, but we enjoyed our stay here very much!
4.7
Everything was perfect close to many attractions will definitely come back again!
4.7
Love it will be visiting again :)

We really enjoyed our stay! Loved the bathroom especially. It was quite. We really appreciated the covered parking. We’ll definitely be back!
4.7
Impeccably unique and beautifully designed room with details to first class taste that was well more than expected for the low rate. Bed was extremely comfortable and open rain shower concept was a first for me. Traveled alone to THSCA Coaches School and was faced with no hotel rooms for under $155 a night OR within 5 miles of the Convention Center. Took a chance with a VRBO room and was very pleased.

Came here to accommodate our stay for our Honeymoon. Everything was amazing! Will be back for sure!

Nice stay but.... read first !
I rely on reviews for my decisions about many things so I like to leave a review if I find it may help others make the best decision for what they need .
This place is a very nice boutique suite. I can tell there has been a lot of "love " poured into this property. It was very clean and the bed was comfy.
I wanted to point out a few things :
I travel a lot for work and we have property of our own in Ruidoso , New Mexico that we rent out to travelers and are considered super hosts, so I get both sides .
-The night I arrived, I drove 6 hours to San Antonio , arrived around 10:30 p.m. and my upstairs suite was unbearably hot. I was not able to get it to cool down until 0400 a.m. thus had 2 hours of sleep prior to my work day/week. The AC is a floor unit that you must turn on when you arrive and allow time for it to cool down. I would recommend coming in, turning on and leaving for several hours to allow it to cool down if you are coming in the middle of the summer like I did. They do have a box fan in the closet to help with air flow that I took advantage of .
-The bathroom is beautiful , but you must be able to step up about 2 1/2 feet over the side of the tub and there is no shower curtain. Not a problem for me , but wanted to point that out. I did enjoy a luxurious bath in that tub my last night :)
-The kitchenette - I like to cook my own meals when traveling but was unable to really do this here because there was not microwave and there was only have a small induction cooking device and a skillet to use for meals.
-Safety: this is an older house and there are 4 suites inside, I was in the upstairs suite D. I have to admit I did not feel safe here because of this and there being a glass window that anyone staying or visiting here could peer into right into my kitchenette and bedroom. There was no curtain or shade to pull down. I felt I did not have the privacy and security I have had other places.
- Parking there is a wooden gate in the back that you have to get out of your car, open gate get back into your car, drive up a bit, close gate, then park your car. I did park my car on the street a few nights because I could not find the gate that first night at 10:30 pm and another night or two because of the hassle of the gate. I did not feel safe parking my car in the street and 1/2 the nights there was another car parked there that did not allow me to park in the street.

Perfect for our stay
We loved our stay.

Close to many things and relaxing
Going Downtown or the Pearl…this is a good location. Bed was comfy, bath was spacious and soaking tub was great. Loved AM coffee and PM cocktails on the deck. Host was very communicative.

It was a little interesting getting to the property, the neighborhood is older, BUT the parking is in the back, it’s covered! Once we got settled, we felt a million times better.! The entire neighborhood is being redone so staying here is also in support of the community and new beginnings. I would definitely stay again, 5-10 minute drive from everything we wanted to do. This property is for considerate couples/family wanting a nice/unique place to stay. Not recommend if you’re planning to be loud and party all night in your room. We didn’t see the other guests there, but you could tell we all had a mutual respect for each other, from turning off the main staircase lights at night, to hearing someone double checking that we all locked the door after we got in. We thoroughly loved && felt at home. Very impressed by the owners and how they utilized the space! Bed was so comfortable and bathroom was AMAZING!. Loved the balcony and the Kitchenette. Y’all did a good job with this place ❤️
