About this campground/ rv resort rental
This colorful, tropical vacation home has two bedrooms, one bath, with new 2022 central air conditioning, and is located in a gated community . The living room is nicely decorated, has a 42" flat screen Smart TV, and 4 recliners for your relaxation. There is a desk and chair, with lighting, for working or studying remotely, and free WI-FI. The living room has two overhead ceiling fans with lights, the same as the second bedroom does. In addition to three overhead units, there are two stand alone fans as well.
Dining area is conveniently located in the kitchen. The kitchen has a glass top dining table and 4 chairs, plus another two folding chairs in the utility room if needed. There's a side by side water and ice dispensing refrigerator, lots of cabinets, counter space, full size stove/oven, microwave and a dishwasher, plus plenty of small appliances like an air fryer, crock pots, blender, and mixer. There's also another 42" wall mounted smart TV, and a new 2022 washer/dryer combo.
Master bedroom has a queen size bed. Guest bedroom also has a queen size bed. All beds have nice cotton bedding. One small bathroom with combination tub & shower. Our unit is located NEXT DOOR to the #1 bathhouse with several toilets and walk-in showers available that are cleaned daily.
Beautiful bamboo trees in front of unit provide nice protection and privacy for outdoor table, chairs, and gas grill. Private area in back for reading and relaxing. We also have a booklet inside the unit showing where bikes and kayaks can be rented. For liability concerns, our kayaks are not available for your use. They can be rented at Bahia Honda State Park and Geiger Key Marina. We also have a couple fishing rods and small tackle box which you are welcome to use. You MUST have a Florida fishing license here to fish on the property.
When you arrive at Venture Out, you'll need to stop at the gate and pay an entrance fee, and show identification. This year the fee is $125, and can be paid by either cash or credit card. Security will give you a tag for your vehicle that you can put on your mirror or dash. It lists the dates you'll be staying here. The guard will give you directions to our unit which is left on N. Eagles Drive to #624.
The unit will be open for you as you're expected with the keys on the table. When you leave at the end of your stay, just leave the keys on the table.
Home is in a gated community, 24 hour Security Guard, convenience store, large shared heated pool with ocean view, kiddie pool, jacuzzi, tennis courts, recreation center with pool table, ping pong, library, basketball courts, bocce ball, boat ramp, large power washer for boats and trailer, tiki hut with BBQ, and much more.
A ten dollar security deposit is required for the equipment borrowed like a basket ball, but is returned to you when the equipment is returned. You would need your own tennis rackets and pickle ball paddles and balls. We have one set of pickle ball paddles and balls which you are welcome to use. For the beach, we have beach towels, and two folding chairs.
Our location: Cudjoe Key, (Mile Marker 23) , Venture Out , 701 Spanish Main, is located 20 miles to Key West, a popular tourist spot; close to Bahia Honda State Park, which has beautiful beaches with kayaking & snorkeling; and Looe Key known for its world famous reef and fishing, plenty of sunshine. We're halfway between historic Key West and Marathon.

Great little house located very close to water. Walkable, quiet neighborhood perfect for families to enjoy. Bahai Honda State Park is only a 20 minute drive and has gorgeous beaches and areas for snorkeling.

The place was overall very nice. Clean - comfortable beds, nicely stocked with what we needed. Our only issue - we have stayed at Venture Out several times and not that this is anything that can be done at this property, but this particular VRBO sits just on the other side of a fence next to a busy road. Traffic and people at all hours of the night. Venture Out has a curfew, so it wasn't on the site itself.

Great place to stay to explore the lower and middle keys. Dave and Dee’s place is very well equipped and we loved the amenities and ambiance of the Venture Out Resort. We would definitely stay again.

This place suited our needs just fine. Ended up being better priced than a hotel and had way more room. Would stay again!

Cozy house
Cute, cozy house, nice association pool & hot tub. About 30 minutes to downtown Key West. Comfy beds, too. Very helpful owner. Thumbs up👍

We enjoyed our stay! Cudjoe is about 25 minutes from Key West. Easy to navigate the area and a straight shot to key west. Highly recommend the restaurant/bar "My New Joint" which is nearby - even an easy walk from VO for the not easily exhausted by a walk crowd - excellent food and a great place for a drink!
Venture Out had great amenities and the rental supplied some fishing poles and pickle ball supplies. Good supply of linens and well labeled sheets for pull-out. The guard shack folks were friendly and helpful. I left a message for the rental mgmt company that went unanswered but otherwise - the stay was without a hitch. The on-site convenience store had reasonable prices and souvenirs.
The rental kitchen is well stocked and having the washer and dryer (while small) was nice.
If you're a light sleeper the road noise can be a bit loud but it's nothing a good beverage can't remedy!
I like to take morning walks and Venture Out was an easy place to stroll and we enjoyed the tennis and ping pong, as well. Land crabs were a bonus! Enjoy your stay! For real.... My New Joint restaurant/bar is a must if you're in the area! The VO pool and docks are good, too! Enjoy your stay!

It was a nice property, just I thought it was waterfront. Honestly, that was probably more of a misconception on my part. It was a nice house, and we enjoyed our stay!

We really enjoyed staying here! The biggest inconvenience for us was having to take our dogs
completely out of the community to go potty.
The second one was not being near a beach.
This is one of the best stocked places we’ve been to…as far as pots, dishes and utensils, towels etc.
Has a fabulous washer, dryer and dishwasher!!
Loved the space of it, as it was very comfortable for 4 people! Thank you!

The listing was completely accurate to the description. The home was very clean and perfect for a family stay! The in-unit laundry systems made a huge impact on our vacation. We would love to stay here again and would absolutely recommend this stay!

Overall, we enjoyed the community and our stay. The pool was great, the ocean pool was warm and inviting. The recreational room was so fun and had ping pong which we played on the one rainy afternoon we had during our week there. The bathhouse is right next door which was very convenient since the property only had one bathroom. The bathhouse was well maintained and clean. The security officers were kind and helpful. The community seemed very friendly. The property itself was great... the water temperature in shower warmed quickly.., the AC worked great and there were box fans and ceiling fans which helped.., there were towels to use which we washed and dried before we left.., the refrigerator worked well and kept all our food cold.., the tv’s worked but we only watched tv a few times our entire stay since we were so busy.., beds were comfortable .., we did not use the pull-out sofa.., the front and back patios were quiet and private.., microwave works great - 2 minutes to heat up water for coffee. Ok .., We stayed 6 nights and there was only 3 toilet paper rolls (glad we brought our own since there were 4 of us Ha!), and only half roll of paper towels (I had a roll of paper towels and napkins in our car)., I bought Tide at Publix in order to wash the bathroom towels which was ok.., I can use the Tide at home .., and unfortunately but not terrible, some of the dishes had ‘stuck-on’ food. This property was cute and decorated with a coastal vibe. We loved all the cute little statues and decorations. We were happy to be able to completely enjoy this family vacation in a welcoming community and very nice place which felt very ‘homey’.

Owner of property was very nice. Home was clean and met what we were expecting. There is plenty to do nearby and it is also far enough away that you don't feel like you are surrounded by people.
Unfortunately, the property management company could use some work. We arrived 20 minutes after our check-in time. I was speaking to the guard at the gate, when the property manager came up and asked her "what unit is he in". After she told him, he stated to her, looking past me, that it was not ready. When I let him know that we had been driving for several hours and my wife and our dogs needed to go in. He said "well it's not gonna be ready" and "what you want us to just clean it with you in it" when I informed him that my family would indeed be going in to use the restroom and put our stuff in the room. Luckily we were able to find a nice dog park to wait out the additional 30 minutes it would take for our place to be ready. The impression given to me by the security officer with whom the manager was speaking, was that this is not a one-time occurrence.
The listing is accurate, however, it needs to be known that this property is not actually the most pet friendly. The gated community does not allow dog walking inside, you have to walk 2 blocks outside the gate to a small strip of grass. Fortunately, there are several good trails around the area for walking.
We would certainly stay again, without our dogs, if not for the poor experience with the manager of the property management company.

We stayed here for a friends wedding in Key West. I’m sad we didn’t have more days. It is a very relaxing community and perfect for a beach getaway. We travelled to Key West daily and it was an easy drive. Never felt like we were going out of our way. Plenty of restaurants and tourist stops around. Great location, very happy with our stay! The only “con” was the A/C. I know it’s hot, we’re native Floridians ourselves but the ac was alittle weak for our liking. But if you use the fans provided it makes up for it!
