Bright spaces, nice furnishings, and plenty of space for our group of 8. Bedroom options were perfect for our group too. Cousins slept upstairs in a large room with their own bath. Setting is peaceful and views were gorgeous. Shaun and Katherine were great to work with.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. Good location for visiting Columbia, Sonora, and Jamestown.

We loved this home! There was plenty of room for everyone. The upstairs gets a little warm and one of the air beds had a hard time staying inflated. However, I would stay here again. The sunsets in the hot tub were epic.

The house had plenty of space for the 6 of us. It was easy to enter the house with the keyless entry. It was very peaceful and had great views and not to far from town. We only had a few problems. The hot water heater was turned all the way down so we had to turn it up so we could get some hot water. We only had enough dish detergent for 1 load of dishes but when I let them know they delivered a bottle to us that day. The housekeepers/previous guest forgot the throw out the coffee grounds in the coffee pot. If you plan on cooking at the house you need to bring plastic wrap, foil, ziplock bags etc.
8.0 / 10.0
The location of the house was convenient for our holiday plans. The lay out of the home was spacious and accommodated our family. The kitchen is adequately supplied although it was necessary to wash utensils after each meal. The sheets and towels are a nice quality. The beds were firm beyond our preference and the pillows were flatter than preferred. Two notes of interest is; the front door is tied to WiFi and requires a palm contact prior to code entry; and the bedroom with two beds is up a flight of stairs. The owners were pleasant to communicate with.

Wonderful, peaceful location with amazing hot tub to watch sunset at end of day. Loved seeing all the deer walking the property throughout our time at the house. Clean and spacious for our group. Fun location to small town fun (note: Uber was not available and taxis were expensive). Found a great hike, winery that also had beer tasting for those non-wine types in our group, live music with fire pits to relax and enjoy, and lunch in downtown Sonora. Definitely recommend for weekend getaway!

Kitchen not well stocked nor well cleaned. No salt and pepper and few serving bowls and platters All but one bed very comfortable. Some light bulbs out. Access easy. Layout of house good.

Gorgeous and clean property everything was state of the art. Hosts were wonderful.
8.0 / 10.0
The property is beautiful and spacious, easily accommodating 7 people. The kitchen is well equipped, and there are several areas where you can relax. The air conditioning and Tesla charger were both blessings, and the grill works great. Unfortunately, the beds were stiffer than what any of us preferred, and the hot tub was marginally functional. Otherwise this was a great stay.

This home is amazing with plenty of room for my family and in-laws. The description of the home was perfect. We were visiting for a family event and my elderly mom and aunt didn’t have to worry about stairs (huge plus for me).
A few of my favorite things about this place: the kitchen, the sunsets from the deck, the proximity to the events we planned, the hot tub, and the ease of contacting the owner.
I would definitely recommend this place to others.

We rented this lovely retreat last year for Polar Express and were very happy to do so again this year. The home is very comfortable and accommodated out family of 8 most comfortably. It is very convenient to the town of Columbia and to the Jamestown Railroad 1897 for the Polar Express experience for us and our grandchildren and their parents. We will certainly rent again next year if the grandchildren express interest in doing Polar Express again.

My family (me husband, 1 year old and 4 year old) and our friends and their 1 year old and the house was great. Everything we needed and the back patio to see the morning deer was truly amazing. The master was great and so much space we had a blow up toddler bed in there and could have fit 5 of them in there. Highly recommend this house to anyone!
Layout of house for those playing with kids: When you walk in - master is to the right along with a little room with piano (we did the baby’s port a crib and monitor in there and worked out great for doing middle of the night feedings)
To the left dinning room then stairs that lead to one room and bathroom. Back downstairs you have the queen and other bedroom and bathroom and then around corner kitchen and living room.

This was a great location. We had two families stay at the home while in the area for a wedding (4 adults, 5 kids). We had plenty of space for all. The home is well taken care of, an awesome kitchen… we felt very safe and enjoyed the remote views. We had a few deer and Turkey sightings which the kids loved. Very close to historic downtown Columbia. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved this house. The kids said they want to come back and never leave the house next time! Lol we saw deer and wild turkeys daily. The hot tub was everyone’s favorite part, especially at sunset. We had some issues with the oven and the owner was quick to respond and offer help. I loved the close location to downtown Columbia!

Beautiful home in quiet area close to town
The home is beautiful and the views are awesome. Very quiet and relaxing. Check-in was a breeze. The spa was great and the kitchen very well appointed; plenty of beds and bathrooms for our family and the primary suite is very nice. Proximity to town and amenities, including golf courses, a plus!

Great House/Great Stay
We stayed for a 3 nights with another couple and their kids and had a wonderful time.
The house was perfect and clean and only a short drive from the small mining town of Columbia and only a few minutes further down the highway from Sonora, a charming town.
Would absolutely stay again if we ever come back!

50th birthday sisters weekend
From the moment we pulled up to this beautiful house, we knew it was going to be a great weekend. The house was simply amazing! It was spread out and the 3 bathrooms is crucial when you have 8 women. The master bedroom is a retreat in its own. The view from the deck is amazing and a great place to watch the family of deer who seem to reside on the property. We cooked up some great meals in the kitchen with top notch appliances. Loved being so close to Columbia State Park. Such a great weekend!

Beautiful home, great views and close to several hikes
House is gorgeous and updated. All of it. The views spectacular. House was spotless except for inside kitchen trash cans which we could live with (but throw a little beach in there). Hot tub amazing - clean, hot, private and great view. Only other feedback is we were disappointed to be unable to use the fire place in the living room. I do not recall the listing stating it couldn’t be used. And finally there needs to be some more patio furniture to enjoy that spectacular deck! It runs the full length of the home! Two small chairs in a home that sleeps 8 isn’t enough! How about a picnic table too? We would go again but I would pack lounge chairs and a folding table if this isn't rectified by owners as you will want to sit outside!! All and all a wonderful experience.

This was one of the better houses we have stayed at (our little group tries to take as many little "getaways" as we can!). Absolutely gorgeous sunsets from the deck every evening! We walked the property, trying not to startle the many deer who live there. We had read reviews of there not being ample paper products at the house, so we came prepared - but it wasn't necessary. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised with the pantry - lots of spices (no regular pepper, which we thought strange, but lots of other fun stuff to cook with!). After staying at so many houses, we know to bring cookware/tools that we know we will need. The appliances in the kitchen are high end Viking which is wonderful (I seriously make sure there is a gas range when choosing a house to stay in). I do have one suggestion for the owners: we had some trouble figuring out the fireplace our first night - no directions there. The owners texted me the next morning to see how our first night was. When I told them about the fireplace, they apologized and said that there should be a sign on it saying not to use it. I ALWAYS look for a house with a fireplace (especially in February with the way the weather is). I don't think a house should be advertised as having a fireplace if guests are not to use it. Overall lovely house, with responsive owners.

Get away from it all!
Great property, easy check in, accurate description of property. Huge kitchen, nice sitting areas, lots of natural light. Beautiful view out over the decking. Quiet and peaceful location. Only downside was the master bedroom was very cold compared with the rest of the house. Kids loved seeing the animals at the nextdoor property and the deer roaming the property!

Serene, Modern home by a super host at an affordable cost!
This property is nestled in the wilderness and gives you so much serenity that you would feel like meditating endlessly.
We visited this place to celebrate my wife's birthday along with few close friends. All of us just fell in love with the place. It gives an unobstructed view from the forest from the porch. There is a horizon hot tub to relax and sip wine.
The house inside is super modern with all the amenities and very beautiful and elegantly decorated. All the furniture is very comfy and modern. Kitchen is very spacious and equipped with the needed vessels and some basic supplies that we need. As a bonus we also got a air bed to sleep in the playroom.
Property is also gated so one can feel totally secure. There is also a ring central security system by Amazon and so one can totally feel safe.
The review can not be complete if I do not mention the host. If the property is 5* then the host is 10*. Super duper friendly and accommodating host. Always there to help you.
I will surely visit the property again.
