I brought my 80+ year old mom and my dog for a week’s vacation. This was perfect for us. It’s not right on the beach, but the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. Our hosts were very responsive. We had a fantastic week!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at City woes to Sandy toes! Kitchen and grill were more than adequate and very welcomed. Plenty of room for our family and dog! Right off of main thoroughfare with ease to the town’s shops and grocery stores. OKI is one of our favorite family destinations… thank you for making it home this past week!

We had the best weekend getaway at this cozy little house. We can’t say enough about the great neighborhood/location. We walked to the beach both days and just felt totally relaxed. They’ve thought through everything- it was very comfortable and cooking was easy! Definitely would stay here again!

You would think living ten minutes from the “Jersey Shore”, one wouldn’t drive ten plus hours to go to the beach, but this cozy cottage’s close location to the beautiful beaches of Oak Island, NC were exactly what we needed to get away from the hectic traffic of the Jersey Shore.
The home’s location is a perfectly quiet little road with so little traffic, it felt good to take our dog for a walk. The neighbors stopped to chat with us like old friends, and it felt like home. The beaches were big and not crowded, and it was just pleasant to unwind from the daily grind here.
We found the perfect little burger joint in Little Bit’s Grill, and enough souvenir shops to find gifts for the family. Food stores were all close and easy to find to pack lunches for the beach.
And it just felt wonderful to sit back, and relax!
If we ever find our way to Oak Island again, I will definitely return to City Woes to Sandy Toes!

Clean property, our small dog enjoyed the fenced in yard. The house had everything we needed during our stay. We spent a lot of time on the screened in back patio. Located on a quiet street. We rented a golf cart to get around.

The house was very clean. it was easy to locate. easy to enter and exit parking. The fenced in back yard provided a semiprivate and secure feeling. Easy access to both intercoastal waterway and ocean beaches. I would definitely rent and stay again the next time on Oak Island.

This was a perfect location for my husband, son, our 2 dogs and I to stay for a weekend in Oak Island visiting family for the holidays. First most important thing for me is a good mattress because of back issues, a bad mattress can trigger pain. Here the master bedroom mattress did not disappoint!! I'm going home back pain free. Everything we needed was available in the kitchen including filtered water ready for us and coffee. Bathrooms were very clean. Everything was labeled like light switches for ease of use. Location is fabulous, near everything including the awesome restaurant, Fixins, that my brother owns on the Island.
Our 2 dogs loved the spacious fenced backyard and the screened in porch.
Glen and Min were very responsive hosts !
We'll be back! Thank you!

My wife, along with our Toller Penny and myself, stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday. Glen and Min were very communicative and the cottage was well-stocked with everything we would ever need. We had an awesome time! Be sure to check out the 31st street trail over the marsh - Penny was in heaven watching the water and wildlife!

We had a such a relaxing get-away for a few days in September. The house was well-stocked with everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable. We loved the screened porch and fenced yard for our dogs! We drove down to the beach access in the evening so our elderly dogs could enjoy the beach without the walk. We also made use of the pickleball courts at the park nearby. Communication with our hosts was excellent. We will definitely stay here again!

Glen and Min's home provided everything we needed for a great family vacation! They were super easy to work with and responded very quickly to any of our questions. Everything was super clean! We enjoyed exploring OKI and Southport...but we also enjoyed just hanging out on the screened-in porch! It was just a short drive to the beach! We do not get in a hurry to get to the beach...but when we arrived at the beach close to lunchtime, there was still plenty of space on the beach for our crowd! We highly recommend them if you are looking for a place to stay!

Relaxing Getaway
I stayed here with my two teenagers and we had a great time! Check in was super easy and no issues. There was clear communication beforehand so I knew exactly what to do. The property looked like what is shown in the pictures and had a nice beachy vibe. There was plenty of room and I really liked the screened-in porch. The place was clean and well kept and in a nice, quiet residential area. The host responded quickly to questions, even at night and they were pleasant and helpful.
The beach was only about a 15 minute walk away. There were plenty of shops and restaurants in the area as well. Myrtle is an hour away so we spent the rainy day there enjoying activities.
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely choose to stay here again!

Starting summer in Oak Island
Loved the floorplan! Fenced in back yard was perfect for pets. It was nice that beach chairs were provided. Great washer and dryer. Screened in porch was nice, but messy (dirty spatula on grill) Decent location, but like being within walking distance to the beach. The wicker couch in great room was uncomfortable to sit on for any length of time at all. Owners (husband) was super friendly when I called with a question.

Wonderful Visit
We had a great stay in Oak Island. The home was warm and friendly decorated in beach themes. My favorite part of the home was the back yard, a hammock, and a fire pit was fun with my daughter. The atmosphere was friendly, and whenever I had a question I just texted them and they got back to me very quickly. I would definitely rent from these wonderful people again. Thanks for an amazing trip.

Great experience! Wonderful communication
We enjoyed staying at this location very much. It was like a home away from home. I was beyond excited to see an electric pressure cooker as one of the available kitchen items and a full set of knives. 😊 Some locations don't really anticipate your needs when it comes to the kitchen.
The master bed is quite firm, so be aware of that if you're not someone who can sleep on a firm mattress. I loved it and slept well.
Quiet neighborhood, and a nice area. We roasted marshmallows using the fire pit one night which was great since it was a bit chilly during our stay.
The communication was beyond great. Reminders about various tasks that needed to be done during our stay, like taking out the trash, were helpful since it's not something in my normal routine to do when on vacation.
The owners were very helpful when I realized after the visit that I forgot to leave a tip for the cleaner. Overall, it was great and I would highly recommend.

We loved this beach house! The first floor master was great for my Mom who is older. Everything was perfectly clean and the house has every amenity you could possibly want!
