About this cabin rental
Conveniently located less than 2 miles (5 minutes) from the river, this 7-acre property joins the Buffalo National River Park land. Small, but cozy, our tiny house tucked in the woods offers the amenities you want on your Natural State adventure. The cabin is ideal for two people, but can accommodate three. The upstairs loft bedroom features a queen bed with memory foam so you can get a great night of rest after your day on the river. The couch in the living area folds out for additional sleeping space.
Relax and enjoy the beauty of the Ozarks on the front porch in a rocking chair or on the back deck. We like to spend as much time outside as we can at the cabin, so there is a fire pit, patio set, charcoal grill and outdoor games for guests to enjoy. Deer and other wildlife can often be spotted from the cabin. And don't forget to check out the stars at night! The park was recently designated an International Dark Sky Park for its superb opportunities for star gazing.
The Buffalo Bender kitchen is stocked with a refrigerator, microwave, drip coffee maker, stove/oven, toaster, crock pot, pots and pans, plates, cups, utensils, and basic spices and condiments. Additional items provided include wifi, hair dryer, TV with DVD player, board games, outdoor games, grill with charcoal, bath and beach towels, fan, cooler for use on the river, firewood, and bedding. It's all the fun of camping in the great outdoors without packing the gear!
The cabin is pet-friendly to well-behaved, housebroken dogs with a pet fee of $50. For their safety, we ask that you do not leave pets unattended outside. Please let us know if you plan on bringing your furry friend along so we can put out dog supplies for your visit. If you have pet allergies, our cabin may not be a good fit for you.
The cabin located less than half a mile down a dirt road. The road is easily passable by vehicles with normal clearance.
The Buffalo River is one of America's few free-flowing rivers and features excellent floating, hiking, bluffs, waterfalls, and wildlife. It's an outdoor lover's dream! You can easily rent canoes, kayaks, and rafts at the river concessionaires located half a mile from the cabin. We love to float and hike, so feel free to ask us for recommendations.

We were in Arkansas visiting family, but decided to spruce up our stay with a couple nights in this cute little cabin and we are so glad we did! This cabin was just the right size for two and loaded with charm and aesthetic from the fairy lights to the plaid decorations. Super comfy bed, good water pressure (although, shower was a tad dark due to lack of lights) and furnished with everything you need for a comfortable stay! It was also very peaceful there in the woods. Sitting around the outdoor fire pit, roasting marshmallows with supplies provided by our host, created some of our favorite memories from the trip. We would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed everything the way it was set up and the quietness of the area, how close to the water. How clean and so rustic loved the black and red checks.
We took a few road trips down some gravel roads went to the river and just enjoyed ourselves best vacation ever. Thanks so much to our hosts.

We love this quaint, quiet place! This is our third stay. We love the area and proximity to the Buffalo River. This place is clean, comfortable and looks exactly as pictured. A wonderful place!

Cabin is so cute and has everything you need to stay. We cooked everynight and had everything we needed. We like a firmer mattress, so that was a downer, but no real issues. It was a hiking vacation, close to the river and Nat'l park so conveniently located. Be aware, no wifi or cable but a tv for movies. Very cozy with a alot of outdoor games and indoorboard games.

We will start with the host! Jessica was fantastic from booking to our departure. We sincerely appreciated the effort and details she provided to make our stay enjoyable. She always responded in a friendly, quick manner to any questions we had. The cabin is decorated with a cozy, comfortable feel, and with just about anything you would need so as to enjoy your getaway. Instructions for use of the cabin and all the amenities are clearly shared as well as information on local areas and "things to do". We love a good fire and along with the fire pit, a large supply of firewood was there for our use! This beautiful property is close with easy accessibility to three rocky/sand beaches which are access points on the Buffalo for relaxing or fishing. A local river outfitter is nearby for river runs as is the Tyler Bend visitor center with three trail heads from there. All the above and then some of the most beautiful drives and hiking trails in the state makes this a great location! So if you are looking for a clean quiet cozy retreat, a great location with access to some of Arkansas' natural beauty or a combination of the two…this is your place! Thank you, Jessica, it was a perfect retreat!

This cabin was perfect for a weekend get-away with my wife. We arrived on Friday and the cabin was fully stocked with any cooking pots/pans we could have needed and any other appliances that were needed during our stay. The location of the cabin is perfect for anyone wanting to get away and have peace and quiet and be able to relax as it is tucked away in the woods all by itself. The host responded to any questions we had promptly. We stayed 2 nights and left on Sunday. Next time I stay in this area, this cabin will be the first place I check to see if it is available and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who asks.

I took my adult son, his girlfriend and their dog with me to float the river and this cabin was perfect for all of us. This place was EXACTLY as it was advertised but really even better to be honest. It sits in a beautiful surrounding away from everyone else. There was a basket waiting for us as we entered that contained treats for the dog. So sweet! The cabin was very clean and the decor is so cozy. The bathroom was very spacious and the shed has lots of items that the owners make available for you to use on your stay. They even had firewood already there to be used. We can't think of even one negative thing to report for our stay. If you're going to float the river this cabin is a steal of deal and you will not be disappointed.

This was our second stay at the Buffalo Bender. Last year, the weather did not cooperate with our river/canoe plans, but we were tickled with this little slice of heaven. The place I quaint and super cute! They furnish everything you need to have a great time with firewood, charcoal, etc. we enjoyed this second stay as much as the first and had three great days on the river! This place is peaceful, but only minutes from swimming and canoeing. Wonderful! And it looks just like the photos! Bonus….we saw numerous deer behind the cabin…they walked within 30 feet of us!

This cabin was awesome! Small but perfect for my daughter and I. Secluded in the middle of a wooded area. Nice porch in front and deck in back. Both perfect for sipping coffee in the quiet mornings. There were so many above and beyond things the owners have done. Very nice linens on the bed and provided for the fold out. Very nice bath towels, nice bathroom, the kitchen has everything we needed. They left supplies for S’Mores and popcorn. Lots of firewood for the outdoor fire pit. They allow pets and although we decided not to take our dogs they had left treats for them along with other supplies including kennels. Overall I highly recommend this cabin and owner!

Very pleasant we enjoyed our stay, but for our age, we probably will not come again and our fat dog and our dogs loved it. There the stairs was a bit much for our age. Thank you very much. It was a beautiful place and very clean.

I’ve rented many cabins the past few years and Buffalo Bender was by far the cleanest I have ever seen! Jessica was so pleasant and easy to communicate with. From the super comfortable bed to the welcome basket filled with s’mores making essentials, I truly enjoyed my stay. I highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a place in close proximity to the Buffalo River.

We had a great stay! The cabin was very cozy and the area was very peaceful. A great place to get away from it all. It is also very close to the river and canoe rentals. It was too cold for us to go in the river but we will definitely be staying here again when it is warmer.

Jess the host was fantastic and the cabin was neat and full of amenities needed for remote cabin living. Would definitely stay again in the future.

The cabin itself was cute, cozy, and well-stocked. The window unit kept it cool enough in mid-August. My friend slept on the fold-out couch, however, it did tip over several times during the night. I made sure to place bedding and towels in the hamper, sweep, dust, mop, remove the trash, and wash dishes before leaving. Our stay was overall okay. However, after the trip, the host informed me that the beach towels I used to dry my dogs off were stained from using them to dry off my dogs after getting in the pond next to the cabin. I felt bad and offered to pay to replace them, on top of the cleaning fee and pet fees I had already paid. However, she then stated there was too much laundry, dog hair on the sofa (minimal, it was covered 99% of our stay), and food left behind. The pictures she sent showed dust on the table and laundry sprawled out on the kitchen floor, neither of which is how I left them. One picture showed a bit of dog hair on the sofa that was covered during 99% of our stay, food in the oven that we did not cook, and a small amount of solid food that we did leave in the microwave. I'm not sure what her intention was, she did not request or accept my offer for more money and the cleaning and pet fees were not refundable. I debated leaving a review because the whole ordeal upset me so much, but I don't want anyone else to be treated the way I was.

Absolutely loved our stay. I wanted to stay longer. The cabin was perfect - the owners thought of everything from the Happy Birthday sign to having a portable speaker to listen to since we forgot ours. The cabin was so clean and cozy and decorated so perfectly I can’t wait to come back and stay longer

Buffalo Bender was absolutely perfect! We can't express enough how wonderful our stay there was. Adorable, comfortable, clean and stocked with everything you could need or use. Close to Tyler Bend, Grinder's Ferry, and two outfitter's. Jessica was the perfect Vrbo host and answered any messages immediately. We thouroughly recommend Buffalo Bender cabin and the Buffalo National River for a quiet little get away.

Comfortable, well equipped cabin.
This cabin was by far the best equipped cabin we have ever stayed in. Love the shower/tub combo! The shower head is at normal height. Can’t beat a nice shower after a day of hiking or floating . The location and host communication is top-notch. We plan to stay in the cabin again next year.

Loved it so much, we already booked again!
My husband, myself, and our 3 pups stayed late June 2022. We loved this cabin so much, we have already re-booked for Sept. 2022!
This Cabin is perfect and nothing can beat it's location! Right down the drive are 2 amazing outfitters if a float or river trip is something you're looking for.
Once we stepped inside, we were blown away with how adorable this cabin is. It has EVERYTHING you could need. Jessica left dog bowls and treats for our pups, and even a sheet so they could hang out with us on the couch. Checking in and out was a breeze. We could not have asked for a better experience. If you are looking for a great escape with peace, quiet, and seclusion, while still being close to everything the Buffalo River has to offer, then this is the cabin to book!
