About this house rental
Located high on Appalachian Mountain, ten minutes from Blowing Rock and 15 minutes from Boone, you'll find the beautiful Hearthstone. With a paved driveway for easier access, enter directly through the three car garage or use the front door with a single step.
Every detail has been thought of for the comfort of your stay. Entering the kitchen, you'll find the beautiful honed granite counters, a maple island, two sets of sinks and two dishwashers. The gas stove and double over making cooking for large groups a breeze. The main level also has a full laundry area with third full sink and a second refrigerator. Walk into the dining hall and see the grand table that seats up to 20 guests comfortably! There is a smaller living room with a woodburning fireplace, perfect for watching TV or engaging in conversation. The theater room is also on the main level, with sunken seating for ten or more and a large TV. The sunroom features space to spread out and relax with the amazing views in sight. You are also able to access either the deck or the hot tub from here. There is one bedroom on the main level, a King bed with TV, and a fabulous bathroom. Double granite vanities, a large soaking tub, and a tiled shower are available. A half bath is off of the living room for easy guest use.
The upper level can be accessed from two separate sets of stairs. There is a King bedroom with lovely views and an ensuite bath with a tub/shower combination. The bunkroom has three sets of twin over twin bunks, with plenty of space for the younger crowd to stretch out and watch TV. If more space is what they need, there is also a large rec room with four full sized game tables. Pool, air hockey, ping pong, and foosball tables give you plenty to do if staying inside. A TV has been added to the rec room to catch the game while playing your own. The fourth bedroom has a King bed, with access to another room with a Queen sized futon. A full bath is off of the King room with double vanities and a tub/shower combo. The fifth bedroom has a Queen bed and access to a shared full bath. The sixth bedroom has twin bunk bed, and a twin daybed with a twin trundle.
Outside has even more to offer! In addition to the patio with the hot tub, there is a nice, flat yard for playing. Head up the rock steps to the playground that would rival many public parks! There are swings, a climbing wall, sand boxes, horse shoes, tether ball, and the crown jewel, a 50 foot tunnel slide built into the mountainside! There is a fire pit for toasting marshmallows, and a grill. A very short drive from the house you'll find the Fire Tower Trail that connects with the Cone Estate Trails!

Enjoyed the stay. House is huge. A little outdated but so much to offer. The game room was a hit for my teenagers. Separate sitting rooms to accommodate everyone and allow different environments in each. Hot tub was nice although old and not all the jets work. Location is great as proximity to several towns and plenty of activity from white water rafting, zip line, horseback riding, hiking and more.

Extremely wonderful home and stay! The property was amazing a little difficult to locate with all the twists and turns of the mountains but you can’t miss it twice. The rooms were wonderful and the conversation pit provided the perfect place to catch up with family. Will be recommending this place to other families for reunions!

Our group was beyond impressed with this property & I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to the mountains with a big group. The house was clean, the property manager was very communicative & helpful (especially with the big snow storm) and our group now wants to make this a yearly tradition!

We held our annual family gathering at Hearthstone in Watauga County just between Boone and Blowing Rock, NC. Hearthstone was an amazing place to gather for a large family with children. There were so many games and activities available that we did not realize would keep us all so entertained. The views were spectacular and the amenities were excellent! We highly recommend Hearthstone.

This house was perfect! Everyone could have their own space! and If you needed to hide for a while, there’s plenty of room in this house!
We were all up for a wedding weekend for one of our supper club kids! This house had plenty of room for entertaining…from 2 separate dens for movie/tv watching, a massive game room, a dining room table that would seat 18 and with an amazing view and more! Everything was clean and well stocked with all we needed. I hope that our group can come back when the weather is warmer and take advantage of the beautiful outdoor spaces, but the weather didn’t keep some from the hot tub!

We came with a group of friends and all of our young children. The house is great with ample space and most of all we loved the amazing outdoor space with the play area for our children. On the first morning we realized the coffee maker was broken, but the agency immediately brought us a new one and were easy to communicate with. We definitely want to return to this home!

Great place for a getaway
This place is wonderful. They have everything you’d need to take a large group to Boone for the weekend. There’s so many activities in the house and just a few minutes away in Boone. If you have a retreat or family reunion then this is definitely the place for you.

Excellent space close to many activities.
We really enjoyed this property. I took a group of 20 college students from our church, and they loved everything. The Kitchen has a double oven which is excellent when cooking for a group. The dining table can seat everyone and is perfect for board games. The numerous sitting areas are also great for group meetings and separate enough for a large group to split up and do multiple activities. If you have a group retreat this is definitely the place for you. Blue ridge rentals is also excellent to work with, they were very helpful in navigating the difficulty of Boone winter weather.

16 of us came from a combination of Florida, Kentucky, & NY. 4 families. The kids loved the game room and playground. Plenty of room for all of us to have our own space or come together for meals or games. We loved the house and the land. Very clean and well equipped for many people.

Wonderful Home
The views, the games, the grounds with a great play area for the kids.... it was the best place we could have been for our family wedding in Blowing Rock. And the rambling arrangement of the rooms allowed each family a bit of privacy. All in all, everybody wants to go to Hearthstone again!

Great House for a Large Group
We had a large group (our “quarantine crew”) ranging in age from 10-63. We loved the huge table where we could all eat together. The game room was fantastic and kept the teens well entertained. Plenty of places throughout the home to sit and talk. The play structure is amazing and in warmer weather would have been in constant use. The kitchen was very well stocked. Thoughtful touches like a welcome sign and package of toiletries were nicely done. All in all we would highly recommend.

Ski Trip
Excellent stay for our large group. Only negative was the size of the kitchen that was a little small for a house that held so many people.
