About this apartment rental

This cozy place is close to Central Market, Fulton Theater, Lancaster General Hospital, Prince Street Care, Horse Inn and so much more. You’ll love our place because of the convenience of the location, close to all that downtown Lancaster has to offer. Our place is good for couples, business travelers, or any party of 3 or less. Please notice, there is no off-street parking! See House Rules for more details.

The space
The Space – This beautifully renovated 1-bedroom apartment features all the comforts of home with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, a small backyard, and lots of living space. The entire apartment is on one floor, no stair climbing needed. However, the washer and dryer are in the basement.

The Kitchen is stocked with essentials (cups, plates, silverware, can opener, coffee machine and coffee); about what you find in a hotel suite with additional utensils for light cooking. If you would like to make more elaborate meals in home, bringing your own special tools is recommended. There are several excellent grocery stores close by.

Free Parking is available on the street in front of the home. Plus, North Queen Street garage is several hundred feet away. I would like to add that the neighborhood is one that we consider safe and fairly quiet considering the city setting. However, if you are looking for a quiet rural setting or a luxurious urban setting, our apartment is likely not the best fit for you.

Wonderful space in a great location. Well stocked kitchen and bath, comfortable, very reasonably priced. Hosts were very easy to work with. Highly recommended. And try the Greek food next door at Souvlaki Boys. Lots of great bars, restaurants, shopping within the 3-5 block area.

Very impressed with everything about the stay. The location, the atmosphere, the price, and the accommodations or all excellent.. Host only messaged us at the beginning of the stay and we did not hear back again even after having reached out during our stay. We of course got by without, though a response or acknowledgement of message received would be nice for guests.

We stayed fir one night and it was perfect for our needs for a clean bed and bath. Prior to arrival, we were a little concerned when we had not gotten instructions on accessing the property before the day we were do to arrive but this was resolved with the help of VRBO customer service.

The property needs to have a better description. It does say that the parking is on the street, but it does not tell you that the neighbors (I watched), parked so that I couldn’t park in front of the property. The second night I had to pay $15 to park in a parking garage. Also, the apartment smelled so bad of mildew and mold, that if I had had another place to go, I would have left. It evidently had not had an occupant for some time. I have a picture of the mildew on the storage box that was in the living room area that had mildew on it. I tried to sit on the couch and read one evening and I almost sank clear to the floor! I am not a picky person, but I was very disappointed in the VRBO.

Stayed for a weekend tournament at Spooky Nook sport complex 15 minutes away. Nice place located walking distance to restaurants and short drive to other downtown Lancaster activities and shops. Street parking can be tricky but a parking garage is right around the corner.

It was a great little place for the night or couple of nights, we enjoyed downtown Lancaster and found some great walking tours. Parking and driving is not something we wanted to fight with, so walking everywhere was very nice. Thank you to the host, great job at keeping a nice little place tucked into downtown.

The hosts were superb with their customer service. Immaculate home. The bed was comfortable. It was centrally located to many great places. The weekend we stayed it was forecast for a snowy day and it was beautiful! The space was heated comfortably and the living room is cozy. I enjoyed the space. Coming from out of town it was the perfect place and i would highly recommend

The location is great and everything was as expected. The heating system is very easy to use, but it is a bit loud for sleeping, and the upstairs neighbors can be heard whenever they move around. That said, it was exactly what I expected and everything about the property itself - check in, parking, TV, etc - was super easy.

Good location, next to a nice Greek restaurant. Everything was clean. Nice kitchen, 3 adjacent rooms. Ample closet space. Hot shower but no soap or shampoo was provided. Bed was squeaky but adequate. Couch smelled like a dog. Bright blinking light outside at night which can still be seen in the bedroom despite closing window blinds and drapes. Heater works but is old and obnoxiously loud, had to turn it off. Neighbors were loud until about midnight. Street parking with limited spots.

It was ok. Location was nice to be able to walk to shops and restaurants around Lancaster. Property was clean but very bare bones. No coffee or any other extras. Communication was weird since I booked through Expedia for a VRBO property and apparently those two systems don’t communicate well together. I did get a response from the property manager when I asked for check in information two days prior but that was the only communication I had. I recommend booking directly through VRBO so not to have communication issues. I think for the price point and location it was an ok stay for a night.

The apartment looked like the pictures and the location is easily walkable to many Lancaster locales. There is a good bit of noise in the living room when people come in the outside door to go upstairs. We could hear every word they said, which means they could hear our conversations as well. We saw a show at the Fulton Theatre and were able to walk. The apartment could have more options in the kitchen such as knives (other than butter knives). We understand that a lot of people don't cook due to the abundance of restaurants in the area but we do. There is a grass area for the dogs right off the entrance to the apartment but it seems we were the only ones to clean up after our dog. Overall the value for the price was good and they do allow pets which was a huge win for us.

The property is a bit off the street on a parking lot. When we arrived it was dark and there was no light outside. It was hard to see the lock box to get the door key. Easily one of our most uncomfortable sleeping situations. Bed was super soft / sagging, and groaned every time one of us moved during the night. AC in bedroom was also noisy.

Easy walk to restaurants and coffee. 10 minute drive to Amish country. Clean house. Lots of options for tv/movies. Everything you need. Would stay again for the price. There is older carpet in the living area if you have sensitive allergies like myself but the rest of the house is wood floors. Ty

We were denied entry because the unit was double-booked. This forced us to drive home late at night. VRBO sent a message, but no apology. In the message it said it might be as many as 15 days to process my refund. This is unreasonable. Can this be expedited? If not, why? You need to refund my money ASAP. This my first and last experience with VRBO. Dreadful customer service.

Nice little spot within walking distance to downtown Lancaster. Took us about 15 minutes to walk to the Convention Center, but you pass a lot of shops and eateries along the way so it wasn't too bad. Place was cozy and neat, though not the most luxurious accommodations. Greek restaurant right on the corner, street parking was not too hard to find. Door lock was a bit tricky (had to pull it to get the tumbler to lock) but we managed to figure it out pretty quickly. For the price, it was a good deal.

Cute apartment. Location was great! Close to everything. Within walking distance to restaurants and market. Only complaint is upstairs neighbors were noisy in the middle of the night one night. Stomping up the stairs. I would definitely stay here again!

Unfortunately, I was only in town for one night & not at this property for very long. I would have loved to have been able to use he living room area to relax for a bit. The bed was very comfortable and it had a nice size kitchen. I walked about 10 minutes to get to dinner b/c I was headed to a specific restaurant, but I passed by a TON of other restaurants in that time. Next time I need a room in the area, I will definitely be booking again!

Half-way between railway station and bus station. Could use a few more things in the kitchen for those who cook, like a cutting board, cookie/pizza tray, potato peeler, a couple more forks, some larger pot lids. Would have liked an instruction manual for the oven and the TV remotes, but it seems nobody ever provides such things. The property was priced right for our purposes.

We are older, over 75, so could use brighter lights. As on other reviews, the basement steps are steep and could use more lighting. The place was right for our sightseeing trip to Lancaster. Cooked, ate, watched TV and slept.. Thank you

We did not stay overnight! Cellar door to scary basement, another door in LR to adjoining apt unsafe lock, neighborhood sketchy, loud rap music across street, parking questionable about towing, dirty lot, horrible experience.

We enjoyed our stay in Lancaster and this little apartment is a good part of the reason why. Very centrally located to several local restaurants and ice cream shops and easy to get to, as well as relatively close to the Amish areas of Lancaster County. Parking can be a bit challenging, but we had no major issues. The apartment is comfortably furnished, providing everything a person would need for a long weekend or mid-week visit.
