Great cabin in the woods! We had a great stay! There are deer right outside the cabin every day! The property was clean and well maintained. The kitchen is updated with plenty of cookware and untensils.

We stayed for my daughters graduation from Appalachian State. The location was perfect for us to not be caught up in the chaos. Feeding the multitude of deer was amazing. Plenty of room for everyone. De

Amazing views, cozy and beautiful cabin! Loved the redone kitchen, so modern but tucked into a wooden cabin! Great experience!!

Our family took a short weekend trip to Powder Horn Mountain and wanted something in the woods close to Boone. This cabin was exactly what we expected. Nice location in the middle of the community and had a great "cabin in the woods" feel. Owner was very responsive and the cabin was ready to go when we arrived.

The Days Mountain Retreat is just that a retreat where we reconnected with family and friends. Powder Mountain is beautiful. The cabin has updated bathrooms and a newly remodeled kitchen. We loved to hike on the trails on the mountain. The weather was perfect. You can also go into Boone. The people are very friendly in town. Excellent breweries, wineries, restaurants and shopping in the area.

We had a wonderful time reconnecting as a family at the Days Mountain Retreat! The cottage is beautiful and nestled perfectly amongst the trees. The location is perfect and allowed us to easily visit Boone, Blowing Rock, Linville Falls, and enjoy the Blue Ridge Parkway. We looking forward to many more stays at the Days Mountain Retreat!

Listing had pool table under amenities but there was no pool table, only ping pong table in basement. Stairs to basement were steep and no handrail which was safety hazard. Also master bed was covered in dead huge black ants and i was bitten by one during the night. Also many black ants and spiders in the house and we had to unload the dishwasher to load our dishes. Trip was nice but would not rent this place again.

The cabin itself was nice and clean. Just the right size for a family of 5. The gated community with a lake and clubhouse was also nice as it rained an entire day we were up there. The house does not have wi-fi, which I didn’t even know was a thing these days. I feel like this should have been stated clearly on the listing as my wife needed to work while we were there. The listing also stated that a garage was available for parking, which would have been nice since we arrived in the middle of a horrific rain storm but the garage was full of kitchen appliances and you couldn’t even open the door for quick access into the house. Last thing, I realize that it’s fall and there are a ton of leaves, but knowing a hurricane was imminent, it would have been nice if someone had cleared away some of the leaves on the steps. They were very slippery covered in a thick layer of wet leaves. On the bright side, the bathrooms were newly remolded and it looks like the kitchen is next so they house is certainly kept up to date.

Absolutely loved staying at this property! Enjoyed feeding the deer. My 5 year did her first hike down to the creek behind the house. The house was clean and had everything we needed except wifi. That would have been nice.

Beautiful home located in a gated community. Be prepared for many hairpin turns as you make your way up the mountain. We enjoyed feeding the deer, playing ping-pong, hiking, and spending time on the porch. There is carpet throughout the house that smells highly of mildew. We sprayed Lysol and lit candles to help cover the smell, but to no avail. We just made due and spent majority of our time outside. The bathrooms are updated....that's a plus. Boone wasn't too far of a drive and we enjoyed our time out on the town.

We loved the cabin and all it had to offer. We enjoyed playing ping pong, playing cards, and feeding/watching the deer! It was relaxing, clean, beautiful. We went swimming in the creek near the campground everyday and headed into Boone/Blowing Rock each afternoon for dinner, etc. we hope to stay here again!

Great time in a beautiful setting
My family had a great time at this cabin. The cabin itself was lovely and spacious, and it was a beautiful area for hiking and getting into nature. Be sure to bring good hiking shoes for the walk down the hill to the stream! As for the house, we loved the views from the three decks, and especially enjoyed the ping pong table downstairs. The kitchen was good for cooking and we had everything we needed to make nice meals. Thanks for the extra blankets and the heater downstairs. Nights indeed can get chilly! The deer feeding zone was fun and we gave them some cut up apples. All of us (ages 8 to 65) had an awesome time, and hope to return one day!

It was a nice vacation with family. The cabin had more than enough room for the six of us. Could use a few minor updates but overall it was nice.

We had 5 men for a leadership retreat and the cabin was very comfortable and peaceful and suited our needs well. The kitchen was well equipped. We had specifically asked if firewood for the fireplace was provided, but there was very little wood and it was mostly rotted; however, we made it do.
Having to check out by 10:00 am was inconvenient and we’d have liked to stay an hour or two later, but our inquiry about late check out was never answered, and we generally found that communication was poor. Overall, we had a great weekend, and we’d be happy to come back.

We loved our stay here!! It’s extremely remote being about 20-30 mins from most restaurants/grocery but was easy to bring own food with a fully equipped kitchen for meal! Tweetsie was 30 mins away and was a huge hit with our kids ages 7, 4 and 2. The jcommunity walking/hiking trails were great as well and kids loved the community playground. Highly recommend this place!
