Location was excellent. Walking distance to all amenities and the beach.
Was a bit noisy at times.

Spacious comfortable quiet cottage away from hustle and bustle but close enough to walk

Fantastic location.walking distance.
Very comfortable and clean.
Great shower.
Parties going on around due to prominent student area. But bearable.
Extra cost for small dog not overly clear and felt unnecessary. £20 - dog friendly usually just means that. I only noticed this charge on check in.

Everything about this property is perfect!!!! First of all it's beautiful!!! The location is perfect, the house is so spacious, it has everything you need and is immaculate. We will try to stay here every visit to see our daughter at St. Andrews. It's absolutely the best!!

We were in St Andrews for my niece's wedding at St Andrew’s Episcopal Church on Sunday 13th August and needed somewhere to stay where we could take our elderly GSD, Princess, who has arthritis in her spine as well as hip dysplasia. This was close by and we were able to leave our dog in the care of a professional dog carer while we were at the ceremony and reception, which alleviated our concerns as Princess lost her companion, our other dog, about 2 months ago.
It was what it was; somewhere to put our heads down for 2 nights where we were at the wedding and reception. We arrived late Saturday afternoon and left early Monday morning. I don't think it was value for money, particularly when we were asked to carry out basic housekeeping tasks, including stripping the beds.
By coincidence, only a couple of weeks previously, because we had a friend staying with us from Northern Ireland who wanted to see something of the Lake District near where we live, we booked comparable accommodation for 2 nights in the centre of the Lakes through booking.com (Pickle Pot Loft, Hawkshead, which was brilliant, and very well presented). The contrast couldn't have been greater.
The cost in Hawkshead was £429 compared with £711 in St Andrews. I don't know how the owners here justify a £70 cleaning fee when we are being asked to carry out basic housekeeping duties ourselves and the floors are either hard surfaces or hard wearing carpet, nor the additional £20 fee for a dog, which didn't apply in Hawkshead.
I've answered yes to the question below about whether the property met expectations because it provided a bed for the night so don't read anything into that. The beds were comfortable.
One or two minor points. Labelling would be helpful e.g. colour coding the keys or Labelling the switches for the hob and oven either side of the cooker would be helpful.

Good location . Well equipped ! Comfortable beds
No outside space to sit . Downstairs shower room very outdated & needing decorated especially the very rusty radiator . Shower very noisy in sitting area when someone showering ! Sitting area also needing decorated

Clean, spacious, and well equipped cottage. Everything we required was available.
Location was excellent...5 minute walk to town and 10 minutes to the beach.
Expensive for 2 nights for accommodation only.

Location was great for walking to the beach as parking is a nightmare at east sands. Even my 6 and 8 year olds didn't complain. Really close to the centre and could walk to get ice cream in the evening. House was lovely and beds very comfy.
Actually the key box wasnt working so we had to have someone help us access it but they were very helpful. Main problem was the fact its in a student area and we were kept awake till 1am on the first night with a party in the street across the road which was a real pain.

Close to the heart of town. Cosy and comfortable with adequate facilities.
The bath plug doesn’t work, so the bath couldn’t be used.

Location was perfect. Cottage clean and comfortable.
If we had been on a longer holiday I would have preferred a larger TV especially if I was a golfer and wanted to watch competitions from the cottage.

handy. plenty of space with a homely feel. cozy.

Great location near the centre of St Andrews. All the facilities you need for a stay in St Andrews. Great alternative to staying in the pricy hotels in the area.
If I was to be in any way negative I suppose the only shower being downstairs was nit ideal and the shower itself was a little temperamental.

Lovely cosy cottage in a quiet but very convenient location for walking into town 👍
9.0
The location, the decor, warmth and facilities.
Shower downstairs was cold and not a full door. A lamp or 2 in the living room would have been good and a larger TV

Beautiful location and lovely country cottage feel.
We felt extremely pressured to leave the property right on check out time as two cars arrived with the cleaners in 25 mins before check out time. The cars sat directly outside the front door on double yellow lines with music playing loudly. It was very intimidating when trying to get packed up to leave and was a stressful end to our trip. It would have been appreciated if they had parked a little away and then moved as we left. It was not a nice feeling having them watching you leave exactly on check out time.

The warm water in the upstairs bathroom wasn’t warm.

A lovely house; great for 4 people. Very comfortable and exactly what we needed for a few days in St Andrews. All facilities in good order, and everything we needed was there.

Location was excellent and the photos of the cottage were accurate. Cottage was spotlessly clean.
Main light in the living area wasnt working. For the main bathroom there was no holder for the shower you had to stand and hold the shower head which was inconvenient. Was difficult to operate the window in the bedroom with twin beds. I also think that not having a parking space for the property could have been so much more difficult on busy holiday periods. All of these are minor issues but I feel that what we paid to stay at the property I expected a 5 star service and it was probably overall a 4 out of 5.

What a lovely Cottage. We were visiting St Andrews for our daughter's Graduation. Quirky Cottage is perfectly located and within close walking distance of town. The Cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. Excellent customer service from Emma throughout the booking process. Would definitely stay there again and recommend. Thank you Emma!
