Originally started as a summer resort destination, Steamboat has become renowned for its world-class skiing and mountain biking options. And your Steamboat vacation rental will put your family in the middle of it all.
Winter activities include skiing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, biking, sledding and fishing. The city houses two ski areas – Steamboat and Howelsen Hill, Colorado's oldest continuously operated ski area. Or simply play in the smooth, dry snow, referred to as Champagne Powder, for which Steamboat is known.
Mountain biking is huge in Steamboat. Known as Bike Town USA, the city has trails for all ages and skill levels. Hundreds of miles of single track, as well as over 50 miles of downhill and freeride terrain.

We loved they layout of this house, it was very spacious and a perfect size for 4 adults, 2 young kids and a dog. We spent most of our time outside in the fenced in back yard, which we loved. I was worried about no A/C, but the sign on the wall on tips to keep the house cool really helped. No issues with being too hot, even when temp outside reached mid 80's. Kitchen was well stocked but deducting a star because a lot of items in kitchen drawers and cabinets had to be rewashed. Kitchen could probably use a deep clean. A short walk to downtown was a huge plus! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

I go to steamboat every year with a group of girlfriends to do the tour de steamboat bike ride. This is the first year we’ve stayed in the bungalow, but we may be back next year. Everything was as expected in the pictures if not more. The communication with the owner Was spot on. I really hope to return next summer.

We enjoyed our stay at the blue house! The layout was convenient, it had all the things we needed (including a locking shed for our bikes) and if we actually still had our dog, it would have been a perfect spot for her to hang out. The house is convenient to downtown and to all the fun to be had up Strawberry Park/Buff Pass/Spring Creek, which was great. The only thing I didn't like was feeling guilty that this house, located within view of Soda Creek Elementary, is in the short-term rental pool instead of being lived in by a local family.

Very walkable to downtown, plenty of space, 3+ car parking (even with snowplow piles), and comfortable stay all around.

We all fit well into blue house and enjoyed the amenities

This condo was perfect for our families. Very clean, lots of space and perfect sleeping arrangements to allow the kids to have their own space. Centrally located in town, walking to all shops and restaurants. Bus stops super close and the bus system to take you to the mountain is free and very well run.

The house was great for our multi-generation family trip to Steamboat, with dog included! Plenty of space to spread out, well appointed kitchen, parking for 2 cars, and a fenced yard for the dog. There is a great dog walking trail just a few blocks from the house! Also just a few blocks walk from downtown and short drive to ski area.

We rented the old town bungalow for a wedding in town. Plenty of room for the whole family. Location is perfect for an easy walk to town and other offsite fun. If we are back in town would definitely rent this again

This property was located so close to town, was clean, updated, and accommodated us all. We also thought the beds were comfortable and absolutely enjoyed playing bags in the backyard. We will stay here again!

The house was fine, it had some highlights and lowlights. You can tell that the house is outfitted as a rental with nearly everything being builder grade and sparsely furnished.
The highlights were nothing beyond what is described in the listing, a modest size house that is close to old town so you can walk into the city. The listing states it could host 11 people, we had 6 and it felt full.
The upstairs room situation was very unique, there is a large master room, an attached room and a full bath. The attached room via glass doors is sold as a separate bedroom. But you have to be "close" to your other guest as you are separated by a glass door with blinds. So there is no sound privacy. And unless you want to walk through their room you have to come and go via the bathroom. This is very unconventional and should be explained better in the listing.
In summer there is no AC, common in steamboat, but we found it difficult to cool the upstairs master at night because it is in the sun all day long and the walls get hot and you can't get a thru breeze unless you open the door to the connected room (which as described earlier you wouldn't want to do unless you were close or were fine with zero privacy).
There is no shed as described in the listing.
Other guests mentioned that the master bath shower drains slow, we experienced that as well.
The water heater is small and will only stay warm for about 5 showers, one of our 6 people always had a cold shower. No way that you are comfortably showering 10+ people, especially in winter.
One city trashcan outside which was half full when we checked in meaning we overfilled it after a few days.
Kitchen had a good assortment of cooking, serving trays, plates and cutlery and the spice cabinet had a good assortment of left overs so we only had to buy oil in addition to our food, not salt and pepper etc.
Checkout was simpler than most as we didn't have to do anything with the sheets.
It is not a vacation rental "by owner" it is managed by a group of rental properties and you communicate with them via text after checkin.
Overall I would probably stay there again but only after knowing these things about the space which were a little bit misleading in the listing. Due to the misleading listing I would be cautious as a future renter to read and be sure it will work for your group.

The house is in a great location only a few blocks from downtown in a quiet neighborhood. Very close to a beautiful park and off leash dog park. The house was large enough for our family of 8, well appointed and clean. Very nice deck and backyard. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook with great appliances. Overall a great experience and would rent this property again!

Better than pictures!
This property is even better than the pictures show! Everything was clean and perfect. All the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, bathrooms are clean, the kitchen is well stocked and the living area is cozy. The backyard is also large and beautiful! (Also appreciated the full size washer and dryer.) It’s an easy walk into town and we enjoyed quiet walks in the neighborhood each night. This house is perfect! Wouldn’t change a thing.

We’ll be back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at old town bungalow. Very clean. Very roomy although there was just four of us. But it was perfect as we are a family of four with two adult sons. Nice fenced backyard with grass for our pooch. In the heart of old downtown but quiet. Good communication and information from manager.

Great location
Perfect location for town, hot springs, and skiing.

Place to sleep but very sparse
Overall the house did the job, but wasn't especially well laid out or cozy. We had a few small gripes such as very little seating in the common area (far fewer seats than number of guests accommodated) and very little furniture in general, but overall gave us a relatively affordable place to stay and was within walking distance of main street.
Our biggest issue was with the master bathroom. The drain was clogged with hair and shampoo when we arrived which made it basically unusable, and was pretty gross. The property manager said they'd have someone come in and fix it but never did.

Wonderful stay
The house is in a nice neighborhood, close to down town and the bike path. The living area accommodated our nine member family well. We especially liked the large dinning table where we could all eat together.

This place was perfect!
I couldn't have asked for a better location and the management company itrips does a great job. It had everything we needed, super clean, can walk to town and it's super quick to the hot springs.

Great house. Great location!
Perfect house and location for my husband and I plus two teens. Bedrooms were separate to allow for privacy. Cute backyard for our older dog to go out. Only negative (which is minor), the two tv’s in bedroom were not connected to dish/cable network. Walking distance to town.

Great place, would stay again very friendly never neighborhood. Short walk to off leash park where you can hike way up to school like 45 min loop. All people I met were so friendly enjoying life in Steamboat. A definite repeat house rental for me

Nice Steamboat House
The family had a great stay here. We could walk to all of the shops and restaurants and were very close to a park where the dog could play. We would stay here again. The place was very clean but could use some additional lighting in the dining room.

Location and space
My wife and I and our son and his fiancé stayed for four nights. The home is spacious and comfortable and well-equipped. Walking to town was easy, with the home being very close in. Our dogs had plenty of room to play in the yard, and there is a park just a short walk away for them to play. We would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend this house.

Great house with a great location
We were in steamboat for my dad‘s 80th birthday, perfect for two families with kids and two elderly parents. The bunk room was a little small, but worked well for my sister & her husband and their one kid. Great yard. Property manager was very easy to contact and very responsive.
