I would have given this 5 stars except for 1 main reason…..The bed in the bunk room is not a queen it is a double bed and made for some uncomfortable sleeping. On the plus side the futon is comfy enough to spread out. The property manager only replies during business hours which does not help when you arrive late or have questions during non business hours. However they were very nice and responsive. Overall I think this was a good value and I would stay again.

Great time
We had a great time at the property. It’s close the big sky and private hot tub is key. I would recommend having a vehicle.

Big sky vacation
Shuttle bus only comes once an hour, should be every 15-20 minutes
Dishwasher rack is broken and doesn’t clean well
Toilets on main floor had no pressure, required multiple flushes and plunging
No serving utensils and few platters
No big pots
Stovetop burners only 1/4burners worked
Compared to other ski vacation rentals this was subpar for the money

We loved the place. Its very accommodating
The shuttle is easy to get to and convinient. But the beds are pretty uncomfortable. The house is very nice. Fit 9 of us perfectly. The kitchen is stocked well. It says there is no crock pot but there are actually 3.

Loved big sky/ management company could be more responsive
Property was as advertised. Location was great. Had all the details necessary for a great stay. That being said a few issues needed to be addressed and management company was poor in responding as it was a holiday week. If you do property management you should be prepared to “manage” properties during these busy times. Property had everything but just needs to update and keep up with several issues. Coffee maker did not work…top shelf of dishwasher and was broken, the front door keypad did not lock ,the back door would not lock from the inside and the couch pulley system was broken in several spots. That being said it was a great location and great destination. House was great and big sky was great. My only true wish would be that the shuttles ran more often than once per hour up to the village. Otherwise a great place to stay. Would do it again.

Property good, service hiccups not so good
We rented this property for 2 families meeting for a long weekend. The property itself was spacious and well equipped.
That said, we did encounter several service related issues - our door code was not correct upon check in, requiring a phone call and the trial of multiple alternative codes. Upon gaining access - we were supposed to have a pack and play in the property (which we paid for separately and in advance) and it was not there. This was particularly problematic because we arrived after 8pm, so our infant was already in meltdown mode. Lastly mid way through our stay, roof construction re-started (per a previous review) while we were away for lunch. When we returned there was a large crane like vehicle parked in the parking spot and loud noise coming from the roof, forcing us to park down the street and negotiate with the workers to delay their work while our infant napped.
All of these issues were resolved over the phone with Stay Montana, however, all seemed preventable, hence the 3 star review.
We would book again given the quality of the property but we hope the service issues are ironed out for future guests.

No WiFI or access to TV
There was no WiFI in the property which means we couldn’t use the internet or the TV. Stay Montana, the property management company, tried to fix it and even got us a new box but no success. We spent a week like this- and even though we dream about being “off the grid” sometimes- it wasn’t the right time to be without it, my husband wasn’t able to participate in important meetings with work and my young children could have used some tv time.
Cleanliness was an issue as well- we found severely stained blankets and towels upon arrival, a broken bed and a broken window.
The place itself was a good size and good location. I think Stay Montana, the management company, has some major issues to work out with the place though. Stay Montana refused to refund our money and said they were working to fix the Wifi but in the end came up empty handed. We were very upset that they didn’t remedy the situation.
I would say beware of rentals run by management properties. Better to rent something that the actual owner is involved. We did this with our previous rental and had a much more positive experience and communication.

Good Property, Horrible Property Management
The property was clean, spacious and well appointed inside. However, we were not informed of the ROOF replacement that was going on during our entire stay. They worked from sunup until dark. I contacted the property management company on 3 different occasions about the inconvenience, noise and MESS around the hot tub, deck and parking area. My friends and I traveled from different parts of the country for a getaway. We should have been informed of the ROOF REPAIR prior to our booking and definitely prior to our arrival. RUN, do not walk, from any property managed by Stay Montana.

First time VRBO-ers
We've been coming to Big Sky for years and this is the first time trying a VRBO. We all agreed we'll do it this way again. Being able to relax in a home environment after a day on the slopes was way better than being stuck in a hotel room or a lobby with Covid rules.

Solid vacation property
Quality build and location (although not ski-in or out). Unit is well appointed and very comfortable for a group.
