About this house rental

The perfect place to stay while visiting beautiful Mount Dora. Just a short walk or bike ride (provided) to historic downtown Mount Dora. Enjoy all the nearby shops, cafes and galleries. Located in an established neighborhood amongst other renovated historical cottages. Walk to the library, parks and to Lake Dora at sunset. Built in 1948, this inviting 2 bedroom 2 bath home has been recently renovated. Throughout, large windows and glass paneled doors fill interiors with natural light. The master bedroom offers a comfy King sized bed, a private bathroom and walk in closet. The second bedroom has a Queen sized bed. The living room has a smart TV and opens to the dining area with a table for 4. The kitchen is fully equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and stove.

The carport has a patio set and rocking chairs to sit back and relax. There is also a firepit in the back yard with adirondack chairs to enjoy in the evenings. There is a storage room with 2 bikes to enjoy.

I stayed in the bungalow for nearly a week while visiting my parents in Mt. Dora. The house is close to their retirement community, in a great neighborhood for morning walks and quiet evenings (except July 4th), and close to the town center. It was perfect and I’ll definitely be returning.

Short stay to visit family. Quaint, cozy, quiet and comfortable. Walk into town was a breeze. Needed long pants for event that I forgot to pack - so utilized the available bikes to ride to Target. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. Would definitely stay again.

We were visiting my Brother who is a resident and he was 11 blocks away on Grandview. Quiet neighborhood, no barking dogs, no neighbors yelling, no baby’s crying. We have to visit him because he can’t breathe in Colorados high altitude. When we do I’ll make sure this little gem is available!

The property is located in a cute, historic area of Mount Dora. It is in a short distance from the downtown area. The house was clean, organized and had different amenities available. There was also a book with a guide to the down town area.

We loved our stay in Mount Dora! The neighborhood was quiet and very close to town! The bungalow was clean and had everything we needed!! We actually want to try to book for next year!!

This is a really cute house. Slept very well in the king-sized bed. It is in a very nice neighborhood, loved seeing all of the Christmas lights on the neighboring houses! Bonus that is it within walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants in Mount Dora. We were, however, disappointed in a few things. The listing shows that there is a hot tub, there is no hot tub. The shower curtain in the big bathroom had mold/mildew on it. The toilet in the small bathroom, for some reason, developed a black residue in the bowl during our stay here...very strange! It would be nice if there was more towels/dish cloths and dishes for the kitchen. So all in all, we did enjoy our stay. Might need some tweaking on overall cleanliness and extra household items. Also, wish it had been warmer. But that's the risk you take during the winter time, even in Florida!

Cozy is….a stretch. I would say bare minimum. Bare minimum kitchen necessities, bare minimum bath linens and bare minimum bed linens, the pillows are about as flat as pancakes. Is it worth the money if all you’re looking for is a clean safe place to rest your head for a night or two? Absolutely but, do not at all expect any type of luxury, even electrical outlets are limited.

Stayed in June 2023. The good: Place was clean and property owner was responsive when we reported a Wasp nest. Neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. The BAD: Cottage is real old and the MBR floor is warped and slanted. Beds not comfortable at all; Feels like the mattresses have lots of mileage to them. Towels and other "amenities" real cheap and place is minimally equipped. DONT count on making anything complicated in this space. The TUB in the master bath is DANGEROUS - the paint is peeling and slippery my husband almost fell TWICE. The dresser in the master bedroom closet needs to go in the garbage - have to fight with the drawers and even pinched a finger trying to close the first day there. The Dining furniture needs also to be put out for garbage - huge liability as the chairs are barely standing as is the table. This place needs lots of TLC and better furniture. The Bedroom TV didnt work because of the poor wifi. Finally - place is NOT an easy walking distance from the town - in JUNE or anytime in the summer. Perhaps in the winter you could take the nice long walk into town. Will NEVER rent here again - nor should you if you want a comfortable night's sleep and potentially prepare your own meals - this is NOT the place. We left a day early we were so disappointed with the comfort of the place. Mt Dora is beautiful and we will visit again BUT definitely stay elsewhere.

Everything was clean and what one would expect in a nicely renovated bungalow cottage. Wi-fi worked well. Kitchen appliances worked fine. Somewhat unusual to have a full-sized dishwasher in a cozy-type home, but this one does. Happy to stay there again, next time I'm in town.

Selecting this house was rather simple. It is within walking distance from Mont Dora Lake Side downtown area. The moment we arrived we just loved the feel of the neighborhood and of the house. It is truly a bungalow getaway. The property manager/owner was very pleasant on the phone. The house was clean, very comfortable plenty of closet space, and everything worked. The seating area in the car port area was so peaceful you could hear the wind rustle through the trees. I woke up early to be greeted by squirls running around and birds singing. It's such a cute little getaway house. Plenty of room and such a quite area. It is very easy drive to the Mont Dora downtown area with so much to do at a slower pace. The surrounding areas are also very beautiful and plenty of nature to see. I would highly recommend this house for a great weekend getaway in the Mont Dora area. The property manager/owner clearly communicates and provides everything you need within the VRBO app on your phone. Definitely going to be hitting up this spot again.

This comfortable cottage was very cozy and relaxing. The neighborhood is quiet and the location was very convenient. We were able to walk to dinner, shopping and to play pickleball. The bikes were a great addition and we enjoyed the bike path.

We had a wonderful stay in Mt Dora. The house was as listed. We sat outside under the carport and it was so comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet. The house was clean and bed was great. Would stay here again.

What a charming home! My husband and I travel to Mt. Dora on a regular basis. We adored this house! Very close to town and in a quaint, quiet neighborhood. It was immaculate and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well equipped and bathrooms were stocked. Steve was very responsive. Thanks for sharing your lovely home!

We enjoyed our stay at the "Cozy Bungalow". It was neat, clean, and well stocked. We were able to meet a property representative at check in and she was very helpful and friendly. The home is just a short walk from downtown Mt. Dora and it's many shop and restaurants. We would stay here again.
