"PRIVATE"( not shared) Hot Tub on the edge of a wilderness area past the end of the parking area with a hot tub gazebo and private picnic table with a Steam Room and on-site professional body massage are available at an extra charge by appointment. A Very Small Cottage, with a Very Small Bathroom (like a tiny house); not in the wilderness but, at the back of the property behind the main house. No view & is behind the main house. The hot tub is at the end of the road, at the beginning of the wilderness, with a gazebo to give you privacy. 2-person maximum at all times; INCLUDING GUESTS & children. This is a small cottage, a studio but, it has excellent features and is very close to the beach. There is no view of the lake but, a short walk on a beautiful sandy path to the beach; through sand dunes and dune grass. Steam room, Non-heating electric fireplace, pinball machine, and gas BBQ on the outdoor deck. 2 mountain bikes, tandem, and beach cruiser, (not in winter). 2 Paddleboards, 3 Kayaks, Surfboards,(Summer only), Bean Bag Toss / Cornhole Game and Spike Ball for the beach. Queen bed. Comcast internet and 43-inch Smart TV. PlayStation 4 with games. Free Soda machine w/ 4 flavors, 3 types of Coffee machines and coffee grinder, popcorn machine. View the wildlife in the wilderness next to the rental at our feeding station during the daytime, or on your TV through a night vision camera. The property is surrounded by wilderness on two sides: an unused park; a corner lot; lots of sand dunes and dune grass. Swimming beach with very clean fine sand. The minimum age of primary renter is 25. No pets.
2-person maximum at all times, including guests.

This place was a lot of fun. Such a tiny house but so much to do. It was exactly how it is was described. We also visited New Buffalo and St Joseph beaches during our stay. All were beautiful and not too far away. Overall great trip!

Enjoyed our time there. Cottage is small, as stated, but plenty of room. We found it quite comfortable for the two of us. Plenty of extras…kayaks, bikes, etc. Mark was very helpful and informative. We booked a week in advance, just a ‘spur of the moment’ decision for a short R&R trip. Everything went smoothly.

This was a clean little place to stay. The bells and whistles for this place are in the location and access to the various pieces of outdoor equipment. For those who are looking for a place to rest after spending the day at the beach, this is for you.

Arrival and check in was easy. The property has excellent proximity to the beach. It was small but that was described and was fine with us. My only issue was that there were a lot of cobwebs and spiders that I removed after we arrived. Also, some of the kitchen items (the Keurig water reservoir, silverware, dishes) were dirty. It wasn’t enough that we wouldn’t stay again or disliked the property but a few small issues.

Cute little place to stay in with great little amenities. We loved the pinball machine and the hot tub! It was a 10 minute walk from the beach through sand. Gorgeous views all around. We were able to see the Chicago skyline from the beach and we saw a deer on our walk back to the cottage. All communication was prompt and attentive. The free soda is in the door to the right of the stairs as you are looking at the cottage. Very happy with our stay and we will be back. We had a great breakfast as the Lakeshore Cafe. It was a great trip.

Well our beach vacation was ruined because of the weather, but luckily we had a pinball machine and a hot tub to keep us busy. Everything was as described. I would only say the bathroom is very small and hard to maneuver in to get ready. We are fairly small people so if you are big and tall the bathroom may be an issue for you.

The reason I booked this efficiency was because of the location. I wanted to walk down and see Lake Michigan in the winter. With the snow we had, there was no way to even get a view of it. The good thing is we were able to drive a mile away and go right down to the lake. It was beautiful.

The place was isolated for perfect privacy for a couple and was a short walk to the beach! Would be perfect for a couples getaway. The owner was accommodating and everything was as described! Soda fountain and pinball machine give it a very unique feel. Enjoyed the trip and place.

Very cute little cottage! Exactly as listed, everything worked. Massage chair and hot tub are perfect! Exactly what we needed. Lengthy instruction email was appreciated detailing exactly where to park and how to get it, where the hot tub was located and how to work the lights and heat.

Tiny, but who cares! There is so many cool things to do at this spot! Hosts were great and accommodated our special requests. Can't beat the 3 minute walk to the beach. And yea, now I want a pinball machine. Great place. 10/10 would stay again.

Everything was as described. A cute cottage with a sandy pathway to the beach. It was perfect for what we wanted. We would certainly stay here again if we ever find ourselves in Michigan. Loved it!!!!

Property was clean. Not really at the edge of a wilderness area but there was nice landscaping. Great walking path to beach. Surrounded by beach houses. Small space but organized well. We walked to restaurants, a great little Washington Park zoo, and Shoreline brewery. We didn't use hot tub but pinball machine and massage chair worked well. Small deck with grill but made private with plants.

Property was exactly how it was described. Check-in/out was really smooth and the host encouraged me to contact him with any issues. The location was excellent and just what we wanted-beach access!! Kayaks looked really nice, but we just chose not to use them. The hot tub was perfect and the two bikes we used worked great! The cottage worked great for the two of us and the space was well maximized. Everything worked as expected: tv, pinball machine, AC, and massage chair. We didn’t play the videogames or use the grill (which looked very nice!). The parking is tight but we drove a smaller vehicle so we had no issues. We appreciated the extra attention to details with the coffee grinder, keurig, and coffee pot along with condiment packets and basic toiletries. I forgot to pack a few items and was pleasantly surprised to find what I needed already there. I most appreciated the cleanliness of the cottage overall. Will absolutely plan on rebooking this property again.

After a long week of stress, me and the wife wanted a little get away. We loved the hot tub and easy access to the lake for walk on the beach. Not to mention a simple drive to downtown to delicious food and brewery. And we absolutely loved the pinball machine as we kept having competitions to see who could score higher. Highly recommend
