Great rafting service. Friendly host. Good breakfast
The rooms are very noisy. Dogs barking and trafic all night. Beds are small and noisy.

A very authentic area just outside of Turrialba. We enjoyed visiting the 2 local bars where the food & drinks were cheap & satisfactory. All staff were very friendly & we really enjoyed our stay.
There’s nothing the hostel can do about it, but just to recognise the rooms were quite small. Everything else excellent.

The hotel is really nice and clean in a very quiet place, the breakfast is simple but ok, however the rafting activity was not at all what we could have expected, they do not select the participants (you are supposed to be in shape to do 5hours of rafting) and they prefer to fill the boat with a maximum of people even when the river is very low. To compensate the inactivity of the person whom randomly decided to
Maybe we were not lucky for the day but we didn’t enjoy it that much.

Clean and cozy
They took an additional fee for taxes. Nowhere else in all of Costa Rica did such taxes take, but were put in the price.

poor isolation (noise and heat/cold)

very nice place, good views, nice and helpful owner
our windows were leasding straight to the terrace so we had to have the curtains shot whole time.

Fantastic host. He had amazing English to make up for our mediocre Spanish.
Rooms are basic but perfect for us as a stopover. Kids loved the hammock seats. Great breakfast.

The staff was very nice, responsive and accessible. The room is clean and well-maintained. The Wi-Fi works well
Little money is reinvested in the property. The mattresses need to be replaced; the sheets need to be replaced; the blankets provided are not big enough for a small child. One of our beds did not have a flat sheet - only a fitted sheet. The beds were too small for my wife, son and me, causing us to move to another property and forfeit the last day we paid for. The breakfast is good but very meager. There is a lot of noise during sleeping hours from the street and neighbors. For $12 more per night, you can stay somewhere 10 times as good.

Very clean and nice balconies, the kitchen was great to use for cooking simple things, staff was cool and helpful, fair price for good calm place to rest after biking many many kilometers in the mountains. Close to some nice woods.
They could install something on the balcony so the rain doesn't get in :)

it’s a bit outside of the city center and it’s a more quiet and very beautiful, lovely place, run by a local family☺️ the rooms are very nice, clean and comfortable. there two beautiful terraces with hammocks to enjoy the view on the volcano of turrialba. it’s a great place to rest and to get to know turrialba and Santa Rosa ☺️

Everything is perfectly clean and new. Very nice views or the mountains and the city. Spacious parking lot, great breakfast and the hosts are very friendly! Plus they have some good rafting and adventure packages bundled with the stay.
Nothing I can think of.

Friendly staff
Good breakfast
Possibilities to go for river trips (we did not, but other guests did)
Authentic barrio feel, as it is clearly off the usual tourist path.
Our room had no window.
Could be noisy at times for people who need quiet.
