Inside The Old Customs House:
The Old Customs House occupies a unique position actually on Mudeford Quay, Christchurch. One of only seven cottages on the quay, it is a 2 bedroom 16th century Grade 2 listed cottage over two floors that has been totally modernised throughout and furnished to the highest standards.
It comfortably sleeps 4 with a luxury modern main bathroom with a walk in wet room shower. It has a washer dryer, microwave, fridge freezer, oven, hob and all the comforts of a 5* hotel with a large TV in the lounge, with DVD player, and TVs in both bedrooms. It is perfect for families or cosy for friends.
Mudeford Quay is a working quay leading on to the sandy Avon Beach and just across the run from Hengistbury Head, it is the perfect spot for those who love the water, beach or partake in the many watersports available in the harbour.
The Old Customs House has it's own safe picket post fenced patio area with outdoor seating and views over to Hengistbury Head.
Outside The Old Customs House:
A white picket post fence surrounds a patio that runs the length of the cottage. Why not eat alfresco and watch the sun set over the harbour?
The cottage has one parking permit allowing you to park right outside the property. If you have more than one vehicle then extra parking could not be easier with a large public car park within a very short walk of the cottage.
Christchurch:
Christchurch - the sign says 'Where Time is Pleasant' and it's right.
From the lively Monday Market to the great shops and restaurants along the highstreet it is a great coastal town. It is a short trip in the car or by the Ferry that leaves from Mudeford Quay.
Christchurch Priory is the longest parish church in the country and is surrounded by beautiful grounds, riverside walks and Christchurch Quay.
The Priory is a must see and is steeped in history. The Priory contains the 'miraculous beam' said to be placed there by a carpenter locals believed was Christ himself.
The Regent Centre is a unique place to see a movie - they still have someone who comes round selling ice creams and drinks!

Charming and well laid out. Great places to eat near bye. Try the pub next door and the Noisy Lobster down the beach. Love the 4 poster bed. Everything worked and was very clean. Quiet surroundings listening to the ocean waves.

Impressive, stunning cottage by the sea
Stunning cottage. Beautiful views. Small pub, cafe & fresh fish stalls opposite the cottage (pub offer takeaways), gorgeous walks along the beach & around the quay right on the doorstep - literally. The cottage was comfortable, warm, inviting, clean & all of high standard. Impressive!

Amazing Cottage
An amazing cottage in a lovely location right on the quay. Great for just sitting and watching the world go by, but also a good base for exploring the local area. Enjoyed some lovely walks around Hengistbury Head and along the beach as well as travelling further afield. Close to pub and restaurants, but we chose to go back to one of our favourite pubs - The Oaks in Highcliffe.
A beautiful and well equipped cottage that was a real home from home. We will definately be back!

Relaxing
We were looking for somewhere relatively quiet relaxing and away from our normal chaotic life, here we found it.
Next to a beach a cafe and a bar what could get any better.
We would highly recommend this cottage for a break from reality.
Extremely clean and tidy, comfortable and quiet, great for beach walks with our without the dogs. There's a short ferry trip across the water to another beach should the fancy take you.
Will definitely be returning hopefully soon.

Lovely location and very smart property
We wanted a short break by the sea in an area where we could get about by bicycle and the house was perfect for this. It has a very high quality interior and the location and views were great. The hosts were very easy to deal with and I would highly recommend a visit.
