About this house rental
A maze of rooms and hidden corners. When you think you’ve seen it all… there’s another place to visit. Chill out on the deck in the fully fenced in and private backyard or on the upstairs patio, take a run on the treadmill or box in the fully finished attic, record some music or work on your next screen play in the office / sunroom. We have a corn hole set in the backyard. When you run out of things to do, go for a walk and discover Bay View! Please feel free to contact us regarding your upcoming booking and fees.
Our winter rates include 4 guests. Extra guests are $50 each per night. Extra fees are allocated towards additional laundry, used beds, and cleaning.
For an additional $150 fee the hot tub is available for use upon request. Please let us know whether you plan to use the hot tub in advance. We empty, clean, and refill the hot tub per use. Max 4 people in the hot tub at a time. Please no drinking or smoking while you're in the tub. We'll provide additional details and instructions.

The host was excellent and provided great recommendations for the neighborhood. Lots of food, drink and shopping nearby. It was perfect for our guys trip.

The listing of beds does not match the actual house which was extremely disappointing for my family. The listing said there would be 1 king, 3 queens, 1 double and a room with two twins. Instead there was 1 king, 1 queen, 1 double and 4 twins. Did not work out well at all for our family situation. There are also lots of spiders in this house.

Excellent location. Very spacious. Great workout room, which was utilized by some of our family members. Nice surprise to find a Pack-n-Play was there for our use. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it to anyone. Also the host was very responsive.

Our family (group of 11) loved staying at Howell House! The house had tons of space and the room situation worked out great as we had parents, grandparents, kids 3-11. Loved the backyard for hanging out and then we could all fit around dining table inside too. Neighborhood was perfect! We walked a few times to Humboldt park for kids to play and for a cool summer concert Tuesday night (beer garden too!).
The house had everything we needed and owners were quick to communicate with us if we had questions about house or things to do in area. We would recommend and love to visit again!

This is an incredible house, especially for large groups. We were in town for my daughter’s wedding and this house became our homebase. There was plenty of space for everyone. The house never felt crowded. The yard an outdoor space was just perfect and we made great use of the hot tub. Scott was an incredible communicator and made us feel so welcome staying in their home. The location is close to everything you could possibly need. We were at max 13 minutes away from everywhere we wanted to be I highly recommend this as great place to stay!!

Our group of 9 had a great stay at Howell House. Our hosts were very accommodating and thoughtful. The house is huge, so plenty of space for everyone. We really appreciated having use of the two stall garage, washer and dryer, and back yard. We would stay again!

It's hard to describe the house - fun, quirky, comfortable... lots to explore and discover. Really great communication. Everyone in my family loved it.

This house just made me happy. All the hidden spaces made it feel like a something out of a book. I don’t know if that’s helpful to anyone but there you go anyway. We all kept commenting about how cool the house was. The owners were great and seemed friendly in all of our communications.

The house was great. We hung out both inside and outside of the house in the yard and the spaces were great for us. We were up in Milwaukee for a bachelor party and there were plenty of bedrooms, a nice yard outside for a fire, and space to sit inside and just chill. Obviously Milwaukee has lots of great drinking options with breweries, but the food in town and even in the Bay View neighborhood was delicious as well. I would be happy to stay at this house again. The host was good with communication and helpful with suggestions of where to go as well.

Our family stay at this large 3 story house was wonderful! Very unique vintage home with stairways to hideaways! Nice big fenced back yard to cookout and enjoy our family.
We had so much room even with our large group of 11! Beautiful remodeled modern bathrooms and large dining area and nicely appointed kitchen kept us from feeling cramped!
Especially loved being able to pull in to the garage for another level of security.
Our celebration had us enjoying the downtown MKE area and we felt very close to everything including a beautiful park just up the street!!
Scott and Carrie accommodated an earlier than expected arrival which helped out immensely.
I would truly recommend this wonderful home for any large gathering 🥰

Great Bayview Property for Getaway with Friends
I booked this house for a weekend getaway with a group of friends. It was a great space for a large group. The host was so easy to communicate with and very responsive. The house had a great communal hangout space on the first floor. Would definitely come back!

Great place in great location
Great experience. Two minor shortcomings were that the lighting in the dining area could be brighter and if one plans to do a lot of cooking, there are not a lot of kitchen appliances (such as a blender, food processor, etc.). That being said there are a lot of great places to dine or take/out nearby. I would highly recommend this place. The owners were great and very helpful.

In Bay View for a Family Wedding
Eleven of us (ages 14-70) stayed two nights for a family wedding in downtown Milwaukee. The house was clean, charming, and comfortable. Scott was a great communicator and easily accessible for questions about the area and house.

Hosts were very accommodating. House was perfect for our needs, but needs some work. Amenities were a bit skimpy; i.e., could have had better lighting for bedroom reading, Kleenex, and kitchen supplies.(2 qt pitcher, regular coffee maker...Keurig supplies were not sufficient). However....our family had a great time...close to the beach, bike rentals, etc. Thank you!

Perfect home away from home
This house was PERFECT for our group of girls. We came for a bachelorette party and all of us felt so comfortable in the house. We all felt right at home with how cozy it was. Scott made everything so simple as well. Any questions I had- he answered extremely quick and was helpful with recommendations of places to go in the area. There’s plenty of space in the house where you don’t need to feel like you’re on top of each other. If I ever go back to this area, I will 100% be staying here again.

Awesome quirky house!
Had a great experience at the Howell house! There is a ton of activities and amenities for big groups of people. Absolutely beautiful bathrooms. The house is a bit older so the only thing with that is that some rooms are very warm while others are cold. But plenty of blankets and fans to cover that. If you are going to use the hot tub I would suggest bringing your own beach towels so you don’t use all the bathroom ones right away. Over all great stay and would definitely come back!!

Rental certainly expectations and matched the listing. Lots of rooms and space, nice back yard for social distance gatherings. Very nice bathrooms, hottub was nice. Had some quirks with air conditioning on main floor that needs to be adressed. Otherwise great experience.
