The location is beautiful and peaceful.
No heating was on in the villa prior to our arrival. The villa was extremely cold and it took several hours to warm up to a comfortable temperature. Only 2 small pieces of kindling was provided for a two night stay for the wood fire. Had to purchase a bag from the local store in Robertson.
To access the villa with luggage is extremely poorly thought out with no path to access the villa. Have to walk from the car parking spaces over well over 200 metres on stones and wet grass. For a property that charges over $500 per night I would expect more.

The heaters took a all day to warm up the place.

the view of the pool from the Villa's living room is amazingggg. great outlook to wake up to every day. the pool is definitely the best feature of this place, it's seriously huge and framed by a beautifully landscaped garden and views of the hills. the bathroom is spacious, with a rain shower head and the layout of the place had a lot of light coming in all day. the king bed, Sheridan linen and towels (plus beach towels) were all lovely, but we both had a hard time sleeping well between the choice of a very flat pillow and a very big but unsupportive pillow (had to try other couch cushions and pad the thin pillow with other towels to get the right height/support, still wasn't great). having a full kitchen (pots, pans, cutlery, plates, glassware etc) plus a BBQ was really handy, especially the dishwasher! the pantry only had salt, pepper and cooking oil spray though, so if you are planning to cook during your stay, bring your own everything. we were prepared because of our long stay, so we brought all our own spices and additional things we knew we would need to cook (mini food processor, electric hand whisker, masher, aluminium foil, baking paper etc). the grocer and butcher is only a 10 mins drive away so the location is very convenient. if you want to go out, there's a pub and restaurant in the same area. we managed to cook 3 extravagant meals every day for a week and paired it with the fantastic wines we brought and couldn't have eaten better.
(guest book said to take our trash out of the premise so we had to load 3 big rubbish bins into the boot of our car and drive it all the way to the front gate because there were no bins on the property. it's a big property so the drive was long enough to make it weird. we get it's by the front gate by the road for easy pick up but not the most convenient set up for guests, especially when staying a while. had to buy more rubbish bags too, only gave us 1. no recycling bins either)
it's not as private as we would like because the pool is accessible to other guests and the owners but the living room does not have blinds installed, so if others want to use the pool, they can see right into your living space and you won't get any privacy. seems very strange the bathroom and bedroom would have blinds but not the living room when the entire space looks out onto the pool area. although the description said the owners would afford us the "utmost privacy", on the last day before we checked out, the owner came to the pool area to change the filters and we didn't get prior notice (not sure why they couldn't wait until we had checked out the next morning to do that), so they were in clear view when we had just gotten out of the shower and walking around in the living room still getting dressed. on a previous day, we had guests from the other Lodge walk around the property and came by the pool and it was rather weird staring out at them while we're on the couch trying to watch tv & they're staring in at us watching what we're doing before they awkwardly tried to walk away. we suggest either blinds are put into the living room to afford guests staying at the Villa more privacy if the owners want to keep the pool area open to other guests at the Lodge. or the pool can only be used by guests at the Villa exclusively and charge a higher premium for it. the uncertainty of not knowing when strangers might walk by at any time during our stay made it a lot less relaxing. also wifi didn't work the whole week we were there, so if you're looking to unplug from work and technology, then you won't have any problems with this place. however, if you're looking to do a bit of WFH/holiday, this might not be the place for you. 4G is patchy at best, probably only works if you have Telstra in that area.

The Villa is exactly like you would find on the French Riviera. The surrounding countryside is lush and undulating .The serenity is amazing.
Go into town and buy local produce .
The Butcher has amazing Rib Eye Steaks which go down well sitting by the pool .
The owners were very friendly.
Looking forward to our next visit .
