This was a nice little getaway for all of us! Plenty of space in the house, with big living room and dining room for gatherings. The only complaint we had was that the check-in was soo late— 5pm check in. That doesn’t even give the hot tub time to warm up if you want to use it that night. Our vacation felt a lot shorter because the first day of it couldn’t really start until dinner as opposed to early afternoon. Other than that, we loved this listing!

I booked this rental for a bachelorette party weekend. There were 12 of us, and everyone had a bed space, which was great. The number of bathrooms (3.5) was also stellar. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the pots/pans/utensils, etc. you could need. We loved the shared indoor spaces, as well as the hot tub and out door decks. Really lovely and the AT access is right there, so you can go hiking without needing to hop in a car to drive to a trail! Overall a great experience!

We just returned from an awesome weekend at Bearfoot Trail! The house had more than enough room for our large group. It was clean and had everything that we needed. The location is also great for hiking and exploring the area. We definitely hope to return again in the future!

Mountain Home Away from Home
This is a nice comfortable property that is good in size and set up so that it can comfortably sleep a good number of people (up to 3 adult couples and 5-6 kids, I would say). We rented this to share with another family, but in the end, it was just our immediate family and my mom that were able to make it, so we had more than enough space for the 6 of us. The common space is not super large given the number of people who could theoretically be there, but seeing as we were just 6 and came to ski and not lounge about the house all day, it was perfect. Also, the TV is nice and big, which the kids really appreciated :) Last but not least, Eddie & Amanda as hosts were very easy to communicate with and very hospitable.

Christmas in Wintergreen
Although we didn't get any snow. The stay was wonderful. Location was perfect for hiking and exploring. We visited 2 breweries and attempted skiing. The weather was warm so it was muddy and slushy.
The house had everything we needed. We enjoyed ourselves very much.

Lovely weekend with 4 couples
We loved the property And it appreciated the cleanliness. Ample room for four couples to sleep comfortably and a fantastic living room with tons of seating to enjoy the fire. Loved that we were right next to the trail head and took a 3 mile walk out in the woods. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need.

Perfect location!
If you are heading to Wintergreen for nature and hiking, this place could not be more perfect. The blue ridge parkway is in your backyard and a trailhead to the Appalachian trail is your next door neighbor. We hiked multiple trails with little ones (ages 6 and 3) without any car travel. It is also 20 minutes or less driving to multiple breweries and cideries. The house is perfect for cross-generational stays. The bunk room and king bed downstairs are perfect for a families. The queen room on the main floor was great for the older generation. And the upstairs rooms were perfect for adults without or older children. Also Amanda was an amazing and very responsive host. While we did not have a single issue on vacation, I am a planner and had numerous questions leading up to the trip. Amanda always responded within 24 hours or less. We would absolutely stay here again!!

Great location!
We had a great time here! I was worried about the roads but the resort/town/whoever does a great job of keeping them clean. They even plowed the driveway the day we arrived. House was adequate for what we needed and we loved how close it was to nearby hiking trails. The ski resort was just a short drive away and we also found a snow-covered golf course green to sled down (not sure if that’s allowed but we weren’t the only ones!). We tried booking sledding through the resort but it was sold out within minutes. One thing to be aware of is there aren’t a lot of restaurants nearby so plan on cooking.

Our experience at Bearfoot Trail was AMAZING. Eddie and Amanda were very communicative and accommodating to any requests or questions. The location itself is far enough from neighbors that it offers quite a bit of privacy and the location was prime to see some of the scenery. Don't recommend traveling on icy days-- the drive up is incredibly steep. The kitchen was stocked with nearly any impliment, pot, pan, tray, etc you could ever possibly need. We weren't sure what all would be available and we love to cook and was pleasantly surprised with how well equipped the kitchen was. We had 11 adults total and felt like there was a good amount of space for everyone. There's enough bathrooms to not feel like you're fighting eachother for bathroom time.Absolutely LOVED the huge dining table. We are avid players of D&D and other tabletop games and being able to seat all of our group to play the game was super convenient. We are also cosplayers and made use of spaces inside and outside the home for stunning backgrounds to showcase our costumes.Overall, we were incredibly pleased with our stay and hope to return again next year.

Calming getaway
House location is near trails and short hike to waterfall. During our stay we saw the local wildlife and beautiful sunset in the nearby lookout. Rooms are clean and home offered space for our party of ten to have space from each other when needed. Owners were very responsive to any inquiries. Highly recommend the property.

A perfect mountain getaway
This location is a dream! Tucked into the woods just a stones throw from the Appalachian Trail and right down the hill from a ski resort full of amenities.
The home is beautiful, clean, and cozy as can be! The couches and beds are good quality and comfortable, and the kitchen is well stocked with all the cooking utensils and dishes you could possibly need.
The property owners were responsive and very helpful both leading up to and during our stay.
We will absolutely be coming back to this beautiful rental!
