About this apartment rental
As you pull through the wrought iron gates and up the driveway of Arlington House, a stone's throw from the popular village of Bibury, you'll see The Sycamore at the end of the driveway. It is a truly deceptive retreat, looking like a neat and tidy new build from the outside, but step through the front door and you'll be wow-ed by the spacious, stylish, fully equipped, and open plan character of this one-bedroom bolthole.
The front door opens into a small entrance lobby from where an oak and glass staircase leads up to the open plan living area. At the top of the stairs, you'll find the dining area followed by a well-equipped kitchen and the slightly off-set gorgeous seating area, overlooking the patio through bi-fold doors. Also, at the top of the stairs, is a luxury shower room, featuring a large, walk-in shower. At the far end of the living area is the inviting bedroom, with its king-size double bed on a majestic wooden bed frame. Throughout, no expense has been spared in the presentation of The Sycamore, from the oak flooring to the unique artwork and from the sumptuous furniture to the extra welcoming touches that you'll discover as soon as you arrive.Ground Floor
Hallway:
Step from the gravelled parking area immediately in front of The Sycamore into an entrance lobby with polished limestone floor, handy coat hooks, and a pretty antique chair - ideal for perching while you remove your boots or shoes before heading up the beautiful oak staircase to the open plan living space and king-size bedroom.First Floor

At the far end is a double ceramic sink, kettle, toaster, and fridge-freezer, while a sideboard at the dining end houses a microwave oven.
Within the main living area, but slightly off-set, is the delightful seating area, with a three-seater sofa and plush, velvet cushions, a coffee table, and a large smart TV with an Amazon Firestick. The living area has bi-fold doors that open out onto the patio.
At the top of the stairs, French doors open out onto an elevated walkway that leads round to the back of The Sycamore's patio.

The apartment is quirky and be very clean. It’s in a perfect location and Bibury is beautiful if very busy with tourists.
The only downsides are the large hedge at the back of the balcony so there are no views out the back and it makes the balcony much smaller than it could be. The pictures need to be updated as they do not reflect how large both the hedge and the Sycamore tree have become.
In addition, the kitchen needs more houseware. It’s missing a tea pot, pint glasses and various other items you would expect.
In summary, it’s a lovely, clean apartment and we had a great time. It would have been better if the outside space was in better shape though.

Beautifully presented unit in a lovely village a stone’s throw from the riverside. Stylish fixtures and fittings and comfortable seating
Really nice place for a couple. Would highly recommend.

Attractive property that is very tastefully furnished. Private yet spacious accomodation for a couple, and a short distance from the heart of of Bibury, which appears to be at the top of everyone's Cotswolds hit list - and for good reason. Superb walking opportunities to Coln St Aldwyns and beyond. Highly recommended.

The Sycamore is a nice apartment for two people. As mentioned you need to take steps to it from parking Level, but due to some "hilly" area, the terrace is then on apartment Level, next to owners garden. We did Not Miss anything; depending on length of stay, Towel Change might be useful, however, we did Not ask for it. The shower under the roof might be too small for very large People, for me with nearly 1,9 m it was still ok. Really a nice and calm Space. We did not meet the owner due to our daily trips, but all needed was cleared by Whatsapp. Very friendly! But you need a car to Go around

Great little hideaway, cosy and warm with lots to do close by. Great walks from doorstep with lots of pubs to visit on route. Lots of great villages and towns to visit especially Cirencester. The property has everything you could want with a great shower and everything you need in the kitchen as well.

All went well. The private patio was a real lovely addition. We also appreciate the ability to stay in and cook a few meals.

The accommodation was as the photos show although a little less smart. The bed was very comfortable which is always a plus, and the bathroom is lovely. Good location for visiting the Cotswolds.
Please replace the old, rather odd assortment of cooking pots and pans as they are not really usable. The kettle has a broken handle which we left a note about. We didn’t find cushions for the patio chairs.
Despite these things we enjoyed our stay and would, with these reservations, recommend to others.

The cottage was really easy to find, beautifully decorated and well stocked with everything we needed. Having onsite parking is also a great bonus as the village gets extremely busy with foreign tour groups. I was concerned about other comments I have read about the 'creaky' bed but I needn't have worried as it didn't bother us at all and certainly didn't impact our sleep. The blind and the door to the bedroom were great at blocking out the light so we could get a really good nights sleep and not get woken by the early morning sunshine. The patio outside was a lovely suntrap where we enjoyed the mini bottle of prosecco and white wine which were kindly provided by the owner. They had also recently invested in some very nice new towels.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I would definitely recommend the Sycamore for anyone looking to visit the area.

Great property, this was our second consecutive stay here.
Second stay just as good as the first, excellent!

Great location. Cottage was very nice with many amenities. The hosts were very kind and welcoming. Would stay here again!

Sycamore apartment is spacious, well laid outclean, warm and comfortable. Great shower.
Bit let down by kitchen equipment, needs: better saucepans for ceramic hob, non scratch utensils for non stick pans, microwavable dishes. Cutlery and crockery matched well but a teapot and some "normal" sized mugs would be good.
We found the random pictures in the property quite odd.
Loved that recycling bins well labelled, rare in self catering holiday let's!
In all, a great place for a mini break.

Everything was perfect. Pre-arrival information was comprehensive and clearly communicated. Excellent location, clean, comfortable, it was a real treat to return to Sycamore each evening.

Space is beautiful and location cannot be beat. Enjoyed our time. Only criticism is the description of the bed as a "king". It is not a King size bed and that made a difference in our experience since it was a specific item in my search. The term "king size bedroom" is misleading.

Cotswold bliss
Beautifully situated, gorgeous 1st floor apartment with outside space. The village is stunning and can be madly busy with tourists but you wouldn’t know in The Sycamore. It is set back from the road so is quiet and has the patio at the rear away from any noise. The only thing you hear are the birds.
Inside has everything you could possibly need and Michelle is so helpful and quick to respond to any queries. She kindly left us birthday cake with candles and a small bottle of bubbles to enjoy on our arrival, as well as accepting a delivery of balloons for us.
The whole apartment is clean, cosy and comfortable. We had the best long weekend here.
The only thing I would advise is if you are staying at the weekend or bank holiday book the local pubs you want to eat at as they are often completely full

Incredible Cottage will definitely be back
The cottage itself is stunning.
Pro's
-Location
-Quality of the cottage (patio for breakfast, the smart TV, the shower facilities, the cooking facilities, the island, the fridge and freezer, the overall experience of this cottage we will definitely be back.
-Little touches upon arrival, biscuits, prosecco, small milk, really added to our stay thank you so much.
-Easy instructions on how to access Key etc.
Cons
-A few spiders but this is to be expected of a stay in the Cotswolds, just be aware of this prior to booking (if you are scared of creepy crawleys)
-Bed is very very noisy, squeaky in the night (probably my only con)
-Would make it easier in explanation as to where the parking is for the Sycamore, as at first it is a little unclear (had no idea what the Bothy was - took a minute to figure out).
Overall, was an amazing stay, excellent location, excellent looking cottage, the owners really have put a lot of effort into this place and it was amazing so thank you so much.

Super cute barn with fabulous views and location
We loved the barn, was warm and cosy and with lovely views. Bibury is a fantastic location. The only thing which could have made stay better was the bed - very creaky and hard mattress, with a softer mattress we would love to come back and stay!

Beautiful barn conversion, perfect for a romantic break. Excellent location in picturesque village .
Very comfortable and stylish accommodation. Welcoming hosts who greeted us with prosecco and cookies. We look forward to returning!
