About this house rental

This 2 bedroom, 2 bath home is located in South Venice. The house 2 minutes from the wonderful Shamrock Park that is the starting point for the Venetian Waterway bike trail. This is a paved off road trail that runs along the inter coastal. You can bike to beach, stop in town for lunch or sightsee as far as Sarasota. Downtown Venice is absolutely Charming! There are small boutiques, ice cream shops, and restaurants all with outdoor seating. Stroll through town then head down the street to the beach out onto the jetty to watch the sunset. Or head over to the Venice Pier to watch the fishing, and enjoy dinner while watching the sunset. Even on a rainy day, you can enjoy the Mote Aquarium, the Sarasota Ringling Brothers Museum, or spend a day shopping in St Armands Circle. 1/2/23 UPDATE South Venice Ferry will only be available on a monthly basis and the fee is $300 for non residents, but Caspersen Beach, Venice Beach and Manasota Beach are all within a 10 to 20 minute drive. 10/18/24 UPDATE Thankfully, the property only susustained minor landscaping and fence damage.

we really enjoyed our stay here. home is very spacious, interior design/decor is beachy gives a really calm relaxing vibe, close to shopping centers, park nearby. overall a great place to stay with young children!! definitely coming back!

This property and the host were absolutely amazing! My mother, brother, niece and I came to Venice for my daughter's destination wedding. It was the most amazing family vacation I've ever had. Every amenity we needed was there and communication with the host was always wide open. We spent a few days on the beach searching for shark teeth with tools and direction from the host and had such a wonderful time. We will definitely be back!

We were visiting for my daughter’s graduation from college and wanted to visit the shark tooth capital of the world! This house was super clean, beds were amazingly comfy, house was decorated bright and airy coastal, no traffic noise, quiet neighborhood. Close drive to Venice beach, Casperson Beach and Brohard park, Sharky’s on the pier and many other places. Had a wonderful time hunting for sharks teeth. Host was always available and prompt to reply. Would recommend this house and hope to stay again!!

We had the best time at this property! The house was so cute & cozy with lots of beach charm. The host was great with communication! She made our stay extra special & care free. The house is stocked with all the things you need for a fun beach trip! We loved that there was a wagon, chairs, umbrella, shark tooth hunting gear, and beach towels. We used them every day we were there. We also loved the comfy couches & nice TV to relax and watch a show in the evenings. And the beds were so comfortable too! We can’t wait to stay here again! Thanks so much!!!

Enjoyable. Safe neighborhood. Home is close to grocery stores, shopping, restaurants, entertainment and the beach. Nice big-screen TV. Disappointed that the refrigerator did not have a functioning ice-machine. Some furnishings and kitchenware need updating.

We have been renting different homes in Venice for 5 years now and Gimny's place is by far the absolute best! Amenities galore! The decor is just beautiful, the beds very comfortable, and the neighborhood is very quiet and convenient to Shamrock Park, Legacy Trail, and beautiful beaches! Hope to rent again next year!

We had a wonderful stay! I highly recommend this property, you will not be disappointed. Our ages ranged from 10-81 and it was pretty perfect for us. Ginny is the perfect host, and has thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. The welcome goody basket was such a kind addition, and the water in the fridge ended up being a Godsend, since somehow I had forgot to pack mine, and we had some car issues getting there that took up a lot of our time, so not having to stop and run to a store for water was such a blessing. Like most trips, we ran out of time to do everything we had planned...I was able to take the girls to the beaches I had previously been to: Caspersen and Venice, but we didn’t get to take the ferry to the other beach 😢we spent every evening in old downtown Venice, we love it there. I will definitely be back, with my fiancée to do the things I missed this time! Ginny, I’m hoping to make this our “Venice getaway” throughout the year! Thank you for everything! I really can’t say enough -it was wonderful!!

Very clean! Ginny has everything you need for shark tooth collecting and beach time. Beaches are a close drive. We did not have a problem with finding beach parking. The Ferry pass was nice. Our time was limited on Saturday bc of covid and keeping the beach less crowded, but not a big deal. I would definitely recommend this rental .

House was clean and well located. The beach that we took the ferry to was clean and almost empty each day. Places to eat and get more supplies also seemed to all be within 5 minutes of the property. Communication with he host was also quick and informative (she gave some great tips about the ares). Definitely recommended

Stayed here recently for the weekend. The home is so clean and well put together...you can tell the owner really cares. She also provides everything you can think of. The area is great...easy to get to downtown Venice. Restaurants and shopping nearby as well. The owner also provides great detail and guidance on restaurants etc. Would definitely stay here again and recommend the house to anyone interested in visiting the Venice area.

The place was amazing and cool place to stay. It was very clean and had everything we needed and some. Upon on our arrival I had a gift basket of snacks for my birthday. The owner was very thoughtful. They stay had some perks such ferry passes to a private island. We would recommend this place to anyone.

This was the best rental we've stayed at. The house was beautifully decorated in a relaxing beach theme. It was stocked with anything we could have needed (and forgotten). All the information we needed and tools useful for the local adventures were available. And communication was spot on (not too much like some, but good information from the beginning and quick answers along the way). We came for a weekend of beaches and shark teeth. We tried out all of the area beaches. Our favorite was the one that the ferry is needed for. So the ferry pass is a huge value. Even though other houses have good amenities, this is above and beyond. It seemed like every little thing was covered. She even had water buckets for our sandy shoes and feet out front. I hope to have the opportunity to stay here again. This is the example that i wish every house rental would follow.

Your first view of the property as you pull into the driveway is of a very neat and very well kept property. This impression is reinforced once you enter the house. There is every comfort and amenity you can imagine available in each of the rooms, from the kitchen thru the bedrooms and bathrooms, and the garage. I won’t go into the details of all the amenities, but suffice it to say, you will not be disappointed with any of the pleasant surprises you will find at this great, comfortable home. Even the backyard feels welcoming and relaxing.

My general rule when booking a vacation property is thoroughly reading the reviews prior to making a decision. This property had no reviews when I looked at it, but it was such a great price and looked lovely so we decided to take a chance and book it. It was a great decision! The house decor is lovely and the property is conveniently located close to Caspersen Beach and a very short 10 minute drive to our other favorite, Manasota Key Beach. Ginny does a terrific job of communicating with you and even left a personal card welcoming us to the property. I also have never stayed at a VRBO property that is so well stocked! She provided anything you could need or might forget from bottled water to laundry detergent. Everything you need for the beach is also there including beach chairs, umbrellas, and most importantly, a floating strainer and long handled scoop to look for shark teeth. We had so much fun finding them! We will certainly be back anytime we head to Venice. Thank you, Ginny, for ensuring we had a great vacation! A. Langley

This home deserves more than 5 stars. It has everything you’ll ever need and more. The neighborhood was quiet and the overall vibe of the house is amazing. Her style is beachy/crafty so it really makes you feel like you’re on vacation! She has supplied all the necessities for Venice (chairs, umbrellas, little coolers, shark tooth scooper) as well as regular home items. The backyard is beyond beautiful and private. The bird feeders really attract some cool creatures that we loved watching. The inside is immaculate and she really puts in the extra effort to make you feel welcomed. We had a little gift basket that wished me happy birthday filled with snacks and the guest bathroom had a TOILET PAPER ROSE made on it... amazing. She generously let’s you use her ferry pass which takes you across the water onto a private beach that is much quieter and secluded than any other beach around! She has also provided a binder full of information on where to eat, what to do, what to see.. so you can feel like a local. We thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful home and I guarantee we will be back soon!

We decided to do a Staycation due to Covid 19. We rented for a long birthday weekend. What a treat it was to stay at this cute place. Ginny is very nice & accommodating. The house has everything you could need for your stay. The house is beautiful inside & out. It’s decorated super cute & I love all the mermaids around the house. It’s also beautifully landscaped & is centrally located to everything. Loved stepping outside in the morning & hear the waves crashing in the distance. We enjoyed the ferry beach & also went to Caspersen beach several times. We want to come back again & highly recommend this property.
