Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cute cabin in the pines. Very clean and had everything we needed! Enjoyed seeing the wildlife and experiencing rain and thunderstorms!

Quiet Neighborhood with no fireworks! Wildlife experience included: Many Elk, Javelina, Humming Birds and a frisky Squirrel. Experienced for the first time, Pine Cones falling from the trees!
Late into the night, We were Wowed by the view of the stars.

Beautiful property in a quiet, wooded neighborhood. We enjoyed staying here.

We had a perfect stay , listing and photographs are very accurate. Beautiful deck, full eat in kitchen we made all of our breakfasts and many of meals here. We mainly stayed in the cabin the whole time with some brief trips to see Tonto Natural Bridge and Shoofly Indian Ruins site. Just a pleasant and very restful mountain cabin . It was the perfect choice for us ! Just what we wanted . We booked based on the listing information and a recommendation of others who stayed here. The property is very well taken care of , and the host and manager do everything to make this a nice vacation home for your stay. If you like what you read in the listing info book it !

The property was in a pretty setting and the cabin met all our needs. It has a beautiful deck to enjoy the outside. My only complaint would be the drive way. Parking is sketchy.

Loved this cabin, even with a couple of quirky things. I give it the highest rating for its fantastic location and its fabulous deck. Everything was super clean! The kitchen has everything you need. The bedrooms are large and the king size beds were extremely comfortable. Bathroom was adequate, but keep in mind you need to climb over the standard height tub to shower; and shower head is not for tall people. The 2 quirky things are 1) water pressure is very low, adequate to get the jobs done, but go easy on your shampoo….may take extra time to rinse out. And, 2) the leather sectional looks very nice, and it is, but you sink way down, so be prepared to use a little muscle when standing up. It’s still very comfortable. We so enjoyed sitting out on the deck, and one afternoon, an elk came through the property behind the storage shed. We watched it for quite a long time. I brought my miniature schnauzer, and walking in the area was very nice and very safe feeling. Lots of good smells for your 4-legged pooches! Please book your reservation here….you will be so glad you did!

This cabin knocked it out of the park. As a single father of four, I knew I would forget a few things and according to the listing, they claimed it was well stocked with pot pans etc… as advertised they had everything on hand to meal prep. Scenic location not far from the trails.

The property was nice. Would stay again.

I have stayed here prior and still love it. Communication from the owner(Patrick) was excellent. Its located far enough into the forest that you can still make a quick trip to Strawberry or Pine and its quiet even with surrounding neighbors. The deck wraps around half the cabin which is a plus. We saw Elk right up the road just sitting around and then in the evening they come close to the cabin under the deck so you can watch them walk on by and get great pictures. We grilled in the evenings. There was still snow on the deck when we arrived so it was a great time. The Cabin itself has everything ya need cept for food(obviously). Beds are comfortable with heated blankets. The heaters in the cabin work great... we tried to use the electric fireplace, but that made it much to hot inside... no need for that. Me and my little dog took walks around the property and he loved exploring - its a nice get away from the hustle and bustle of Phoenix. Thanks Again!! I will be back! Jodie

Our family had an amazing time in this beautiful cabin with the comfort and the beauty of God's nature and wildlife, some of our kids saw the gorgeous falling of the snow, we also watched herds of elk right by the porch, this pretty cozy cabin has a good place for your family memories, thank you!!!

This cabin is a combination of cabin meets luxury resort. You are in the woods with visits from birds, squirrels, deer and elk. Then inside you will find quality cook ware, flatware and dishes. In the master bedroom, you will be treated to high quality bed linens and a heated mattress pad. Planning to return.

Nice cabin in Strawberry. Saw lots of elk wandering around. Hot water wasn't that hot but it's a cabin in the woods. Very comfortable.

I often visit Strawberry and this is one of the best rentals we have stayed in. For sure had everything you would need. Although it was a short trip this done, it was a great one! Thank you for sharing your home.

Upon arrival, we found the driveway to be a bit difficult, so I could only imagine what it would be like in the snow/ice. The porch was beautiful and looked brand new but once inside, I could see why. The floor on the entire backside of the cabin wasn’t level, like the foundation was sinking at one point. I would assume that problem was fixed, hence the new patio, but why not fix the inside also? The cleaning fee was quite high and we were still asked to take out the trash, strip the bed and start a load of towels and blankets! Baseboards haven't been cleaned in a long time, cobwebs on the ceilings and in the kitchen, dog hair all over the ottoman, a garbage can I had to touch every time I threw something away. A pedal operated hands free one would be cleaner. Automatic light in bathroom was awful! It was so bright that I had to unscrew 2 bulbs while we stayed. Horrible when I tried to used the restroom at night. Plus, I had to continue to open the shower door while I showered since it’s on timer and kept shutting off! My husband is 6.1ft and the shower head was barely comfortable for me at 5.3ft., he complained of his legs hurting from having to bend down the whole time. I also tried using the coffee pot but after 1/4 pot brewed the cleaning light came on, leaving us with no coffee and a 52min clean cycle. Airfyer was not placed near a plug so unless I moved things, it was not useful. Overall just disappointed, only good part was the elk we saw on the way out when leaving.

property was as advertised nice little place with a nice deck. We enjoyed seeing the Elk and deer on a daily basis would rent this place again in the future. Only issue is parking if you have a trailer. I had no issues but if you are not good at reversing a trailer downhill you might have issues.

We really enjoyed our stay here!! Scenery was beautiful and the huge deck was awesome! It was really neat seeing Elk just roam all around the property. The host really did think of everything to accommodate guests.

Cabin was clean and comfortable. Outside area is spacious, beautiful and surrounded by Pine trees!

Property is rustic enough to give the cabin feel with everything you need. Deck space is amazing, we spent most of our time out there. Enjoyed the wildlife and wind in the trees. I can’t take this away from the property but there were some noisy neighbors on Friday night. Not enough to ruin the experience tho. We love this area and travel here often. Probably time to find a place of our own. Thanks so much, it’s always hard to leave.

Great deck and outdoor space.

The cabin was great, every day we got to see wild animals walking around the neighborhood. The location was great, short drive to Payson, short drive to the several hikes we went on, weather was amazing. Everyone in my family had an amazing time. And everyone we met in Pine and Strawberry was super friendly!! I would recommend staying here.

We had a really good family vacation at the Lovin Lufkin Cabin. The beds were super comfortable, the house's tech is very very good- nice wifi, all 3 TVs are streaming capable- Roku-branded, there's an Amazon smart speaker in the living room/dining area which is very handy. We really liked the large deck overlooking the yard and neighboring trees and the surrounding neighborhood. Wildlife! We saw numerous elk, including one big male with antlers. One javelina came right up to the stairs of the walkway leading down from the driveway, and we had a nice face-to-face encounter that lasted several minutes and ended peaceably. Too many squirrels and birds to count. Patrick and Nadia emphasize that their cabin has had several wildlife encounters for their guests- this is not an exaggeration. My daughter enjoyed their wildlife blind in the side yard area. It snowed when we visited- fortunately not too heavily, just perfect for a Phoenix kid to appreciate a little-seen weather phenomenon, at least in central Arizona. The cabin's heating system kept the indoors quite comfortable, the warming bed liners were very nice. The cabin has a wood-burning stove, we brought firewood and indoor/outdoor firelogs with us. The fire pit in the yard was rustic but comfortable. If you are coming up when it's going to be cold, definitely bring supplies for both or buy them locally.
The bathroom was well appointed. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and helpful labels directing visitors where equipment may be found.
I don't really have any complaints about the property. The listing is accurate. There is no dishwasher- somehow the lack of one escaped my notice when I read the listing. I can't really fault Nadia or Patrick on that score though- I just assumed there was one. Washing dishes by hand was no big deal, really. Just know that you'll be doing that too.
If you want to visit Strawberry/Pine, you really should think about the Lovin Lufkin Cabin. Our family of three fit in there perfectly, and if we had more people coming with us on the trip, the extra beds in the second bedroom would have come in super handy. This is the fourth cabin we have booked for the Strawberry/Pine region, we have been coming to this area for the last five years straight. We would book the Lovin Lufkin Cabin again, and you should definitely consider doing the same if you like clean cozy cabins and wildlife.

Winter Wonderland Getaway!
We just went here for a quick weekend getaway and had such a relaxing time! Even in the winter months, this cabin has so much to offer. The views from the deck are beautiful, and the wood stove inside is so cute! Everything you could need in the kitchen is provided, and the beds are super comfy. Love that this cabin is dog friendly! The owners checked in via text to make sure everything was perfect and we were settled in, which we appreciated. Don’t sleep on this amazing property!
