Welcome to "FerryTale Retreat!"
Purchased in June 2020 and remodeled during the fall and winter of 2020, this spacious beach getaway is brand new to the rental market and features the comforts of home with views of the ocean. The house is ideally located close to the beach, clubs and shopping. It is completely refurnished and professionally decorated with 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths.
This home is the ideal place for one or two families or a group of friends to enjoy a memorable vacation together. It has gorgeous ocean views from the kitchen, large front deck and upstairs king suite -- perfect for watching the sunset, moonrise and for amazing evening stargazing. The large, vaulted-ceiling living room and recently upgraded nook offer ample seating and entertainment options. Enjoy dinner out on a third private newly renovated back deck.
"FerryTale Retreat" has been professionally decorated in soothing shades of sea blue and grays to help maximize relaxation and bring the beautiful Bald Head Island beach inside.
The house features four bedrooms, three full baths and sleeps up to ten guests. The main bedroom suite has a king bed and flat screen tv, as well as an ensuite bathroom, a sitting area with a sofa and desk and private deck with amazing views.
The second primary bedroom has a queen bed, flat-screen TV, an ensuite bathroom and is tucked away in the quiet back of the house. This room also features private deck access.
Another guest room has a queen bed and deck access and the fourth bedroom offers a bunk bed as well as a daybed with trundle. Closets include hangers and laundry baskets for your convenience.
The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with all of the amenities you could desire and features stainless appliances. The kitchen is open to an airy dining room that seats eight and a newly remodeled breakfast nook for extra seating, dining and entertaining space.
The sunlit living room is open to the kitchen and includes a flat-screen Smart TV and a large space for relaxing with family and friends. The house is well-stocked with puzzles and games.
A full-sized washer and dryer are in a large pantry off the kitchen. A high chair and pack & play are located in the pantry along with an iron, ironing board and drying rack.
Each bathroom is equipped with a hairdryer. Starter packs of shampoo, conditioner, body soap, tissues and bath bar come in each bathroom. We also supply starter dish detergent, paper towel and toilet paper rolls.
Two golf carts will transport you around the island (one brand new 4-seater purchased in 2018 and another 4 seater that comes with a rain cover).
We provide beach towels, all linens, pre-arrival cleaning, wireless internet service and four smart TV's. There are three brand new adult bikes and three new kids' bikes as well. We also have a beach umbrella, two boogie boards, a bocce set, horseshoes, sand toys, a beach push cart and several beach chairs for your use.
The large outdoor area downstairs features lush tropical vegetation and opens to a finished spacious mudroom area to hang your towels with stairs to the main floor. There is a newly renovated outdoor shower perfect for rinsing off the sand.
Gas and charcoal grills with tools are at the ready for you.
If you are interested, you can purchase a temporary Lifestyle Membership to the Bald Head Island Club which offers golf, tennis, a fitness club and a pool, along with casual and fine dining. Pricing varies with time of year.
"FerryTale Retreat" is located right off of South Beach Wynd and is convenient to all the island attractions. There is plenty to do on the island - casual-to-elegant dining, several clothing/gift shops, camps, and education programs, etc. There is a full-service grocery store, ice cream shop and take-out pizza. Fishing, kayaking, surf lessons, scavenger hunts, and sightseeing charters are available.

We spent a great week in baldhead Island at this property. There are windows everywhere that invite so much light into the family room and dining room. I couldn’t believe how well stocked the kitchen was with all the “little things” that you never remember that you need. They also have all of the drawers and cabinets labeled to help find everything you could possibly need in the kitchen They provided plenty of beach towels, the pantry is huge for you to organize your own groceries. The two golf carts worked great, as well as the bicycles. I would not hesitate to rent this property again.

This was our first time staying on Bald Head Island and we really enjoyed this house. It is so beautifully decorated, and really well equipped with everything you could possibly need during your stay. The beds were really comfortable, and the sitting area was a great space to hang out in. The communication with Edie and Katie was amazing - they were so responsive and very helpful. Having two golf carts and the bikes was such a wonderful to get around the island.

This was my first time staying on the island (we've only done day trips before) and everything about it was perfect. Leading up to the trip, Edie & Katie were very easy to communicate with and sent us all the details we needed - check-in process, ferry/tram information, a map of the island and things to do. The house was very bright, spacious and had all of the essentials needed (kitchen was fully stocked, beach towels, chairs, bikes, etc.) I stayed with my family and our spouses and the house was spacious enough that we didn't feel like we were on top of eachother the whole time. We were walking distance to the beach and a quick golf cart ride to anywhere else on the island. My family and I all fell in love with BHI during our stay and we wish we would have stayed longer. We will definitely be back!

The location was PERFECT. Quiet cul-de-sac with quick access to south beach. It was great to have the 2 gold carts and the house and rooms worked great for our family and a couple of our son's friends.

We stayed for the week with our 4 adult kids 20.23, 25 and 27 year old with our oldest’s wife. We had the most incredible time together - and Ferry Tale property made it even more spectacular. Close to the beach access, and nice views from the 3 decks. The property was super clean and freshly painted / maintained and not one detail was left out. The owners / managers obviously take pride in their beautiful property. We will definitely book again!!

This is a great house. It had everything we needed, including beach toys, chairs, and towels. Very close to beach access and BHI club. Management was very responsive. Would highly recommend.

First Time to Bald Head- Will be back!
Such a wonderful visit to beautiful Bald Head Island. The house is in the perfect location- right in between the Market and the Bald Head Island Club and across the street from beach access. Can't get much better. We loved that the house was a little tucked away and private. The hosts definitely go the extra mile to make sure their guests feel comfortable- the house has everything you need ranging from all your kitchen needs to every board game ever created. The layout of the house is extremely comfortable and everyone slept great.
One thing to note is that the blinds in the bunk bed room don't block any light, so if you have kids with early bedtimes make sure you bring some blackout blinds or it will look like Noon until the sun goes down.
Communication with the hosts was the best I've ever experienced. I highly highly recommend this property and we plan on coming back next year!

We recently stayed at this property on BHI the first week of June. The location is fantastic: central to the east and west parts of the island and close to the beach. The house was very clean and is well equipped in the kitchen, beach toys and games, and plenty of beach towels. We highly recommend this property for any family.

While the pictures online are quite accurate, you don’t really get a feel for how spacious, comfortable, beautiful, and well-appointed this house really is. The master retreat is heavenly. And the location is fabulous! I was terribly sad to leave!
Property management was amazing. We were there during the onset of Elsa, and they communicated with us the entire time. Wonderful people to work with. Not one complaint about anything, other than our stay was too short.

We discovered BHI as we were looking for somewhere special to celebrate my sons graduation. We rented Ferrytale Retreat for five days. The house exceeded expectations with cleanliness, amenities, space and location. Edie and Katie were very easy to deal with and extremely responsive to questions and issues. I highly recommended considering this hone. We left BHI with great memories and will definitely be back.
