Super und super - große Empfehlung

Sehr sauberes großes Zimmer. Der Ausblick und die Nähe zum Dorf waren toll. Am besten war, dass das Zimmer große Fenster hatte. Frühstücksauswahl war groß. Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus

Exceptionally clean and spacious accommodation. Lovely village and good base to explore.

Breakfast was excellent but a limited choice.

Brown bread was poor at breakfast, a fresh or a least quality bread would have been better. The same with the orange juice and teas.

Absolutely brilliant stay in a lovely place with fantastic hosts.

Everything! The stay was fantastic. The hosts were very friendly and nothing was too much of a bother for them. The breakfasts were lovely. The accommodation was exceptional. The village was a short walk away set in a quiet location. We even received some wine and treats one evening such a nice touch which made us feel welcome.

Lovely stay

Had a lovely stay for 2 nights. The room was well layout, included all the amenities needed for a comfy stay. Great bathroom & shower pressure too. The location was good, quite, it’s within walking distance to Ballater & driving distance to sites around the area. Plenty of on-site parking as well. A Lovely couple who own the place, you can see they put a lot of love and energy into making it a good experience for guests.

The bed was a bit on the small size for us, so was uncomfortable to sleep. Perhaps enquire the mattress size if you need space as they have other rooms as well.

Truly memorable experience in the heart of the highlands.

The hospitailty was outstanding; the breakfast was outstanding; the property itself (and especially our suite) was outstanding. We would have no reservation about recommending it to anyone!!!

Amazing and clean guesthouse with wonderful hosts and a great breakfast.

The hosts were incredibly helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble

My bathroom was outside the room, however Natali gave me a robe and slippers and was super helpful, which more than helped with the small inconvenience.

Exceptional

Highly recommend St. Andrews House. We stayed in the "apartment" suite, which provided extra sitting room and kitchen. A nice short walk to downtown shopping area. Breakfast was excellent and friendly.

Quiet elegant accommodations only a 5 minute walk from the center of Ballater.

Our second floor room was wonderful. It was spotlessly clean and elegant with a nice southern views of some of the beautiful homes in the area and hills in the distance. Natali and Tony were great hosts with much information to share about Ballater. Great walks and hikes right out of the front door. I especially liked the hike to the summit above Ballater called Craigendarroch. The “outside” pic is from the summit of this hike. The walk along the River Dee is quite enjoyable also. Fantastic breakfast! Natali shines in this regard in spite of me seeing Tony wearing an apron one morning. 😁 The “lobby” picture is one of the dining room tables set for breakfast. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Nice B&B in a lovely location.

Location is great, a nice walk to the village. Hosts are welcoming and helpful. Shower built into turret is pretty special!

Bed in room 1 is very small, and not too comfortable. Would suggest requesting a bigger room. Price is perhaps a bit high based on the small room. House a bit noisy, but not a major problem.

the worse B&B experience of our road trip

it was clean and Ballater is a beautiful village.

the B&B is on a very busy road, there is single glass in the room so it is extremely noisy. you can hear people from the room next door. there is a little in the room with instructions, what is forbidden to do or what we should not do. my husband could not shower because the water was cold. in the morning there is light very early in the room because you can not close the curtains. we had 3 huge spiders in our room running. the breakfast was very limited if you are vegetarian or vegan. the style of the house is very bling bling , we did not feel comfortable at all. the owner keep 100€ on your credit card as a deposit in case of if you break maybe something, with we never had before, we felt also very uncomfortable with this rule. the bed was very hard, not comfortable and the matras was very thin. we did not enjoy our stay. the price we had to pay was extremely expensive for what you experience. value for money is absolutely not good.

St Andrew’s house was the perfect spot for our stay. The rooms were beautiful, close to town, hosts were welcoming and provided us with all the information we could want on the local area, plus the breakfast was great!

Natali & Tony, the owners/operators, were lovely people who (successfully) worked hard to make sure our stay was wonderful. The breakfast was great and was much more than I expected. Natali was incredibly pleasant and friendly, and Tony helped me plan a really beautiful motorcycle route in the nearby area.

Comfortable old world charm and service.

This B and B was spotless, beds comfortable with nice linens and beautifully decorated. The hostess and host were friendly, helpful and gracious. The breakfast we perfectly prepared and served in a bright comfortable room.

Great place to stay near Balmoral Castle, we stayed as a group and would definitely stay again

Natali & Tony are absolutely awesome and their place as well. We were a large group and had the whole property to ourselves. The rooms were very comfortable and stylishly designed. The town is a short walk away and the area is very safe. Oh and the provided breakfast was excellent!!! All in all - we were on a week long trip across Scotland and this place was by far the highlight of our trip.
