Just a Great 4 days loved the Lodge .and I will def be back

Perfect place spend time with my parents . Good hear Scottish accent with the owner 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Very friendly reception thank you Gordon! A nice quiet location within a few minutes walk into the centre of Ballater. The lodge was very well equipped for self catering.

Some of the floor was a little dusty. The duvets were good but the addition of some simple sheets would be more comfortable when the weather is warm.

Location, layout and space were great.

The pillows! They had no bounce to them and squished flat.

Clean , lots of facilities in lodge.Beds comfy. Five minute walk to the village and around 10 min drive to Balmoral .

A very pleasant stay.

The lodge was very convenient for all local facilities. It was quiet, and had all amenities necessary. Having tea, coffee, milk, biscuits everything required was there. The owner being onsite to help with anything was a bonus. There was plenty of parking. We would definitely go back again.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Very good ,surprisingly a beautiful part of Scotland . Would recommend .

Nice quite ,central location with easy walks into town. Weather was also good for our stay which helped. This allowed us to use the good outside amenities at the lodge. The external seating within the facility.

Nothing really , if picky I am not a fan off leather seating . Tend to stick on it when its hot .

Fabulous stay

Great location - very peaceful and within walking distance of lovely local shops. Briefly chatted to the owners who were very friendly but left us to ourselves. Spotlessly clean. Well equipped. Really enjoyed our stay - perfect base for somewhere to come back to after hiking when the weather can be changeable.

Completely uderstand the need to not let people turn up the heating too far at the moment but it was very very cosy! We found we were a bit too hot and had to switch off the radiators at the plugs so would be good to be able to adjust the heating down if possible. Imagine it'll be absolutely perfect in Winter though!

The best holiday choice I have ever made, can't wait to return.

Walking distance to almost everything I needed in the village shopping area. The proximity to Balmoral Castle really surprised me too. Well manicured and very quiet neighbourhood, exactly what I wanted for a good break. Full marks to the self-catering facilities and cottage arrangement.

Will definitely be back for another visit!

Living Room and Kitchen facilities excellent, when we got home we bought the same swing bin in the kitchen! Bedding was lovely and clean and all seemed new which was nice.

Bed was a little small, we are more used to a kingsize.

Really nice week and enjoyed our stay.

Perfectly located. Quiet. Good size. Comfortable.

Lock didn’t work on the bathroom/toilet door. Bin and under the beds were grubby.

Nice short visit to Ballater

Nice lodge on small site of 7. Good facilities, including washing machine and dryer available. An easy 5 minute walk to Ballater which is lovely.

Perfect little lodge in the woods !

Gordon Is so friendly , nothing is too much trouble. Lodges are great . Everything you need. Perfect spot for walking into the centre. Little park for the kids , totally safe & peaceful. This was our third visit.

A little bit of building work going on over the wall. Nothing anyone can do about that.

Amazing stay, would recommend and would do it again.

I really appreciated that the owners left some milk and biscuits for me. I loved the location of the lodge, it was really central however so quiet! It was beautifully presented and I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere the lodge provided.

We had a relaxing break in a beautiful part of Scotland.

The lodge was very comfortable and excellent for a relaxing stay in Ballater. The kitchen was very well equipped with modern appliances. The shower was excellent and there was always plenty of hot water. The whole lodge was spotlessly clean.

I can't think of anything that could have been improved.
