Very happy with everything, the location, the house, and our hosts. Our family was very comfortable and able to enjoy what was an excellent summer vacation taking in the beauty of Acadia National Park and the charm of Bar Harbor. Tons of memories. The house was a significant component of our vacation and it made us all quite happy.

The accommodations at Mercedes and Robard’s home exceeded our expectations! The home was extremely clean, well stocked, and filled with thoughtful details making for a very enjoyable stay. All the beds (even the twin beds in the kids room) were extremely comfortable. The home was walkable to town, but removed from the main streets, so was very quiet and private. It was also a quick drive into Acadia. The hosts were very responsive to questions before and during our stay and very thoughtful giving suggestions for events happening over July 4, which we appreciated! We wished the check in were a little earlier but would still love to have the opportunity to stay at this home again in the future!

Beautiful home located within easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants in Bar Harbor! Owner provided great recommendations for local restaurants that were open during the off season. Easy drive to the hiking trails in Acadia. High recommend stopping at the Chamber of Commerce to talk to a park ranger for trail suggestions during the off season. Would not hesitate to stay at this rental again.

Nicely renovated old house. A great location walking distance to town and close to Acadia National Park. We had a bunch of teens in our group and they appreciated the freedom of a quick walk into town. We appreciated being able to get to Acadia quickly for hiking. Shared bathroom upstairs. Downstairs one bathroom is accessible through the master bedroom. Washer/dryer in this bathroom.

We, along with our 5 adult children stayed at this home. It was very clean, comfortable and spacious enough for our size group. The beds were very comfortable….the mattresses seemed brand new. The home and everything in it was nice and very good quality. At one point during our weeks stay ( June 2023) we needed a couple of additional items…and the owner got us what we needed very quickly. We also loved the location …on a quiet street ….walking distance to downtown Bar Harbor, restaurants, and even the grocery store. We also had fun cooking some meals together, and the kitchen had everything we needed from pots, pans, utensils,,cups, blender, etc
We would definitely stay there again when we visit Bar Harbor, Maine in the future!!

We loved this place. We have been to Bar Harbor 100's of times but our friends from WA have not. this location was close to everything - like walking to the bike shop where we rented bikes and Two Cats for great breakfast.
It was immaculately clean and equipped with everything one needs for a great get-a-way. The bedrooms are not big, but adequate. The beds were comfy and the linens all feeling new and luxurious. There are a bunch of cute nooks to sit in. The living room was very comfortable for the 4 of us. The place might be crowded with 8. but for 4 it was perfect. The kitchen was spotless and well stocked.
We will be back! loved it!!

Perfect Bar Harbor/Acadia Getaway

This property is very nice and in a great location. It was presented as described and was very well equipped. The refrigerator needed to have the filter changed for the ice maker and frig water to work correctly and the owner corrected it as quickly as he could. The only thing I would caution you about is that you can only sleep 8 even if someone is willing to sleep on the floor due to a rental licensing issue and even if you think you could squeeze a third car in front of the building, it is prohibited.

My family and I visited Bar Harbor for the first time. Our group consisted of six adults and two children. This house was absolutely perfect. I'm a pretty picky person, and this house was VERY clean. It's updated and bright, lots of outlets, good closet space, easy to control the temperature. Everything you can think of is provided - garbage bags, dish soap, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a hair dryer, everything a kitchen could have, even coffee and some snacks! The towels are very plush. The bedding is comfortable. The kids' room was adorable - a few toys and books. All communication with the owners was very quick and helpful. They even provided info about local restaurants, shops, and activities. I honestly don't have one complaint about this place, except I wish that we could've stayed longer.

Clean, lovely home in a wonderful location
My husband, sister, and I stayed here recently. The home and location exceeded our expectations! Everything was very clean, the beds were comfy, and we had soft, fluffy towels. There were even cold drinks and snacks waiting for us when we arrived. We were happy to be able to easily walk downtown and to nearby restaurants, and we could easily get to Acadia National Park for hikes. It rained one day that we were here, and we weren't that disappointed to stay inside because everything was so comfortable. Thank you so much!

This property is a delight. Super clean and updated with historical charm. The beds were comfy and the towels were high quality. On a quiet street with easy access to the park and a short walk to downtown. The hosts were very thoughtful and checked in to make sure we knew how to use the AC unit when the weather was surprisingly hot one day. Would definitely stay again.

This was a really terrific place for our family to stay. The place is newly renovated and beautiful. The hosts were very nice and responsive, we came early in season and they gave us a list of restaurants that were open and responded to other questions. Location was ideal, right in the middle of bar harbor action. Highly recommend.

Wintry Getaway
We loved Mercedes’ and Robard’s beautiful house! It was spotless and everything was as shown in the listing. It was that rare combination of comfortable and beautifully decorated, it looked like a place you might see on HGTV! The house was stocked with all the pots, pans, utensils, dishes and seasonings we could possibly need. They left enough coffee for our stay as well as some chocolate! Getting in was easy and they responded to all questions quickly. The washer/dryer was huge for us as we went hiking in Acadia every day. And even though it was January there were a number of restaurants and businesses open for whatever we needed. We were a little nervous about planning a trip to Bar Harbor in winter but it was wonderful. We got a foot of snow on our second day but everything was well plowed and we were able to get around with no problem. We would definitely stay again, Mercedes and Robard were wonderful hosts!
