Thank you!
Awesome house and location! Hosts were so friendly! Truly had the best experience, our whole group could not say enough good things. We will be back for sure!

Absolutely horrible place
1. The front door could not be locked. My husband had to remove the deadbolt lock plate and then we were able to lock it.
2. The stairs are very narrow and steep like a ladder and not the same size, and the railing is loose and doesn’t go the full length of the staircase. We couldn’t let our granddaughters use them alone, and I could barely get up and down them myself.
3. Most of the window screens were popped out, and ripped or torn, letting in bugs if we opened them. And there were multiple cracked window panes.
4. The roof, or window, leaked the first night when it rained, and soaked the pull out couch, rug, our belongings, and granddaughter who was sleeping there.
5. There are outlets and switches with exposed wiring and electrical tape.
6. The floors and rugs are so dirty we couldn’t take our socks and shoes off in the house.
7. There is one bureau and no closets at all, and we had to put our clothes on the dirty floor.
8. There are several lights/fixtures that do not work, some because there are no bulbs, others just don’t work.
9. The love seat is broken.
10. The WiFi is almost non existent.
11. We found items of trash and clothing under the beds, behind and under the couch and love seat, and under the nightstand in the master bedroom.
12. The shower door doesn’t open and close properly and seems like it’s going to break.
The Guest Contact said we can get a full refund for anytime that we were not staying there, but there’s been no response after a week.

Overpriced Disappointment
Thoroughly disgusted with the accommodations & the response from our next day encounter with the owner. We were not greeted at our "cottage getaway" as stated in our email. Our keys were placed on a heater and told the door was open. There were multiple electric concerns ( broken uncovered receptacles, exposed & taped outdated wires), broken dryer w/ smelly clothes inside, cracked windows, broken couch, broken microwave ( replaced w/ a mini), no remote for TV (replaced) however no internet or cable to use, pantry door off hinges & leaned against the opening, mouse droppings in kitchen drawers, fridge dirty, broken bulbs left in ceiling fan, mold on couch in "sunroom" where moss is growing between window panels, & 3 large holes in kitchen ceiling The new deck was nice, fairly new flooring in kitchen & decent carpet. Bed Linens & bath towels were nice. Had to borrow a broom from family who were renting around us as this unit was absolutely not cleaned and ready for any new guests. I am typically not a complainer & not new to vacation rentals but the owner refused to come talk with us until I insisted so he showed the next morning & acknowledged but made excuses "it's a cottage". He said he would have an electrician come but instead he came back and put 2 screws in a hanging receptacle. This home needs to be brought up to code/standards. For 1 week I paid over $3500 which is not current value of the area as there were 4 houses rented between family.
