This house fit our needs beautifully. It was clean, had all of the conveniences of home and was roomy enough for us to not be constantly bumping into each other. The kitchen was fully equipped making it easy for us to prep meals. I loved sitting outside on the back deck while reading a book with my morning coffee. The neighborhood is family oriented, relatively quiet and had sidewalks for taking walks. The location was good, only minutes from downtown Steamboat. The only drawback to the location is there are no grocery stores on this side of town. It's about a 10-15-minute drive to grocery stores depending on traffic. Not terrible but it helps to plan ahead if you don't want to be constantly driving back and forth. There's also a pizza place, a burger joint and a brew pub less than 5 minutes away from the house which was nice. (Practically within walking distance if you don't mind walking back up the hill!) Overall, we had a fantastic time and would stay in this house again. Highly recommend!

Beautiful house
Beautiful location
Extremely clean

The Good: House had beautiful views and the heated garage was a huge plus. The beds were comfortable and the hot tub was clean. The property manager made sure the walkways were shoveled each day - which was very nice to have areas cleared. The shuffleboard table was a huge hit with our crew and everyone enjoyed this added bonus!
The not so great: Upon arriving the house was 64 degrees. It took hours to heat up and our entire family was bundled trying to stay warm. There were dirty towels in the laundry basket in the Primary closet, trash on the floor of the guest room, a joint outside the front door and a flask off of the primary bedroom balcony. I also found a rubber glove tucked in the couch as I was straightening the pillows to leave. The two leather chairs pictured in the living space - are not there. I also think a few dressers in the house could make a huge difference - we all felt like we were living out of our bags.
Overall - I wouldn't pay the premium price we paid to rent this unit again (presidents day weekend rates). Some minor attention could have provided a much more comfortable, clean stay.

I tend to judge the rentals we stay at mainly by the comfort of the beds. We slept so good during our stay, THANK YOU for investing in quality mattresses. This house was beyond stocked and the only thing that was lacking was a can opener, which was rushed over to us the next day! Wow! Fantastic stay, excellent communication and easy access to town!

We enjoyed it all. Wish there was an air conditioner, but the nights cooled off a lot.

Great house close to town. We assumed house had A/C which it does not. It was warm during the day but cools off nicely in the evening with all the fans and windows open. Property needed to be cleaned better..specifically the floors, outdoor grill area and the hot tub.
Overall would def stay again.

Fantastic home!
We had a wonderful vacation in Steamboat. This home was everything described. It was very comfortable and well stocked. It is in a quaint, quiet neighborhood and very convenient to everything.
We stayed in July and it is worth mentioning that the heat was a concern. Despite all the usual tricks, the bedrooms stayed in the mid-80s.

Great new house
The house is really spectacular, has everything one family needs for a fun stay in Steamboat.
There is one thing I want to mention: check the weather. If it is hot and fires in the summer, it will be hard to live there without the air conditioning. That was the only thing we struggled with. You cannot open the windows at night to cool the rooms when there is smoke from the fires. But this is the case with almost all properties in the area.
The house is gorgeous, new and comfortable!
We loved our stay there!

Great new house in great location!
The house was very new and very well appointed. The neighborhood is quiet and very nice. The views are spectacular. The house is wonderful for a family vacation in Steamboat. It is important to note that it does not have AC which is not necessary most nights in Steamboat, but in the heat of the summer, it can affect your stay. The hosts were wonderful. All in all a great experience!

The beds were super comfortable, as was the living area. The kids were doing remote school so the 600+ Mb down/400+ Mb up internet speed was a real blessing -- fiber for the win! Nice new laundry machines. There were four of us but the house has beds for 7 (8 if you count the futon for a kid) The neighborhood is still under construction (Nov 2020), so lots of work trucks and things to dodge on the streets but the corner where the house is was quiet and the other completed homes blocked any construction noise. The house backs to greenspace, which is really nice. It's a pet friendly home and we saw no trace of previous pets. The neighborhood is just a couple minutes from town center, and a few more minutes to the ski mountain and grocery store. Easy access to the town's trail system. The only ding I have against this home was that the housekeeping crew seemed to have missed the kitchen -- previous renter's trash, dirty kitchen towel, dishwasher full of dirty dishes, old coffee in the pot and the grounds (really, previous renters, use filters!). Not a big deal to run the dishwasher and clean up the other things, but still not pleasant to start our stay that way. Everything else was spotless and the rest of our stay was great.

I visited the sunlight mountain lodge with my family for a business/ relaxation short trip. I had reached out to the property owner prior, asking about the price for the place As it seemed high. They were firm which was understandable being a resort town. The property is associated with the four seasons which I assumed meant a much higher level of cleanliness/service... when we arrived the first thing my wife noticed was the fridge was very dirty, as the trip progressed we noticed more things, like the heavy layer of dust slash dirt around the couch and the somewhat dirty and rough towels that were there for use. Again, normally I would not really care, but the property is advertised and priced as prestigious. The ad also mentioned the the property had a grill, but there is only flat top propane camping cooker that is not a grill... this was frustrating as my family and I truly enjoy cooking together and this was another thing not as advertised. I had brought up some fresh cut steaks from the butcher that just were kinda waisted trying to cool on a flat top without a lid. To be fair this grill would be great for thinner meats or quick fry kind of dinners. The ad both mentioned an indoor and outdoor fireplace, both of these things were turned off and did not have any instructions for the use. It was pretty clear they did not want them turned on. Lastly the ad describes and pictures a full garage for use, but there was a full size construction truck parked in there all weekend, the neighborhood has extreme parking rules with signs, along with threats of getting ticketed for violations in the welcome book... my wife just got a new car and the garage was one of the reasons we went with the bigger, higher priced, four seasons rental. We spent each morning pulling my truck out of the driveway so we could load the kids in the car seat and so on, two cars barely fit in the driveway so it was musical cars while we were there. Although probably not the property owners fault this neighborhood is still under heavy development and from 8am until sunset all you hear is tractors and large truck reverse beepers all day long... I always look forward to writing a nice review about the great times I had with my family or friends when I go to a Vrbo, but I must say this one was kind of a disappointment.Few good things we liked to even out the review. The house is brand new. The appliances were also new and very nice. The beds and TVs were great.
