We loved staying at the Proctor house! It was so close to everything we wanted to see. Love the neighborhood and the home had everything we would have needed ♥️

We really loved this house and the location. I am originally from Tacoma and it is tough to beat this location and these gorgeous craftsman houses.
A few cons:
We had our 2.5 and 5 year old with us and there were no conveniences for them (pack and play, high chair, reusable plastic cups/plates, etc). I loved this property as an adult and think maybe it’d be better suited for families with older kids.
There was no water filtration system like a Brita or filter on the fridge so we had to buy endless bottles of water during our stay because the tap water didn’t taste great (this obviously isn’t the most environmentally-friendly option).
I shared some feedback about some challenges that we had with the garbage disposal and didn’t find the response to be very friendly. Overall, the communication was satisfactory.
We enjoyed our stay—Nice house, great location, just a few items that could have made it a 5 star review.

This house was so cute. It is in a nice neighborhood. It’s clean, quiet, the beds are comfortable. Everything was great. Only one very small complaint, the kitchen is not stocked with any spices, or staples, but we weren’t staying long.

The house is lovely; everything was clean and clearly marked for use. The beds were very comfortable . We had a 12 and 14 year old with us who absolutely loved the upstairs loft. The property and the neighborhood were beautiful. Thank you !

The property was spacious, clean and comfortable and being an old house it had it's delightful quirks. The neighborhood was quiet and beautiful and it was nice sitting on the porch and relaxing. It's close to many restaurants with some in walking distance. The only drawback is that the stairs in the basement (where the washer & dryer are located) and the backyard are steep and uneven so you need to be careful walking down them.

For a family of 4, staying for 6 nights, we were given 6 Keurig K-cups and ONE extra roll of toilet paper (other supplies were also strictly rationed). I emailed twice to ask for extra supplies and both times was told, “we only supply you enough to get started.” I can understand purchasing your own coffee, but there a should be standard coffee maker if people don’t want to purchase expensive, wasteful K-cups. In my opinion, not supplying enough toilet paper is inexcusable. At the very least, there should be a warning that says this is your one and only roll of toilet paper. Our 7-year-old had to wait in the bathroom while I ran to the store to buy more toilet paper. Ridiculous.

Host was extremely kind and accommodating. Peaceful suburban setting within short walking distance of Met Market -- a significant plus in my book. Highly recommend!

House is very clean and located in a nice neighborhood only a few blocks from shopping and dining. Full kitchen with a big dining table. Great for home cooked dinner with friends and family!

Location, location, location
Fantastic location! We were able to walk most anywhere we needed to go. Great proximity to restaurants and shopping. Safe residential neighborhood. Home was comfortable for a family of 4 to eat and hang out together. Only complaint was that the upstairs loft area was lacking headroom, it might work for children or small adults but the ceilings were too short for tall folks.

Family Reunion
Stayed two nights in the Proctor House on a quiet, tree lined street in North Tacoma. There is ample street parking and a big dining room which fit six adults comfortably. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking and serving items and lots of dishes. Only complaint is they only have a Kurig which, for coffee snobs, means you need to head out to Valhalla, Anthem, Bluebeard, Olympia or Campfire. None of those local roasters have pods for this contraption. Great nook to plug in, and robust WiFi for working when I needed. This sensitivity remodeled bungalow had easy to use lighting and heating controls and a west-facing porch. The place was warm and welcoming through the full range of fall weather from bright sunny mornings to periods of dark downpours.

Lovely Family Visit
This house was amazing!!! It was such a lovely neighborhood and we were able to walk to Metro Market and Several coffee shops and a wonderful wine tasting place. We took several walks and admired all the beautiful homes in the neighborhood and everyone was so friendly. The house had everything we needed and the beds were so comfortable. It is close to the water and Point Defiance zoo and beautiful hikes. The hosts were wonderful and communicated before our stay with all the necessary information we needed and they had a great information notebook that was very organized and so helpful with what we needed to do before we left. I highly recommend this place!!!

Perfect for family PNW getaway!
Our stay here was fantastic! The home was perfectly located just a short walk to Proctor, where you can find unique shops, dining and a grocery store. The home itself was clean and had plenty of room for our family if four. The kids loved the attic space and we had plenty of room to cook and have family dinners & game nights. We took several day trips to Olympic NP, Mt Rainier, Vashon Island, Port Gamble & Seattle. The Proctor House was perfect for a great week exploring the PNW!

Great location - owner is very responsive
We had a great stay. This house is a block from where my daughter lives. I had a couple of things come up (couldn't get the TV to play the NBA playoffs for ex.). Michael responded immediately and took care of the two small issues that arose. He is great. (We were able to watch the games). Comfortable beds.

Absolutely Perfect!
We stayed in this property during our recent visit to Tacoma (Proctor) and couldn't have been happier with the place. The house is cute, comfortable and much larger than expected. It was within walking distance to the quaint downtown area and major grocery stores.
I would highly recommend this property! Will stay again!!
