The location was convenient
The fact that this was a home with there family and some children living there was not mentioned, false advertisement, one of the rooms was completely given to someone else, it is a rooming house, for 2 other people as well, and her mother lives there also. The owner stated she did inform Booking.com about this information before advertising as an Air BNB.

The property was advertised as a 1 bedroom home great for vacation. My husband and I came home to 8 other guests that I was not aware or informed about.

Alex is a great host and a very amazing person.
The space was really great, clean and comfy. I'm definitely booking with her again if the need arises.

The room was not available but the host offer us her apartment and she apologized a lot. She is nice and helpful. Thank you.
We didn’t go to the historical neighborhood home.

A comfortable room at a good price and good location for our stay. Host was friendly and welcoming. The neighborhood was quiet and safe.
An extra chair in the bedroom would have been helpful.

Key to access the build was inexistant. I booked for 3 nights, however I ended up leaving without staying for any night. I stayed for 0 night. The They people stole my money. I stayed on the street on my first because there was no key in the lock box. Someone opened the door around 4:30 am I entered, then disappointed I left.

Location fine. Nice old house. That's all I can think of that's nice to write. There wasn't room for all of the DIDN'T likes, so I'll finish them here: 4. There were minor key issues. We only received 1 key for 2 rooms and the front door key was difficult to turn. 5. There was only one towel in our room and none in my daughter’s. The manager told us when we complained that there were towels in the linen closet. This closet was in the hall and not marked, so another guest opened the door of our room looking for it. I suggest putting up a sign.
So, in summary, the listing committed serious sins of omission and there are health and sanitation problems that the property must correct if it is to become a safe place for visitors to stay. And Booking.com needs to support its users better. We feel cheated and are out a lot of money.
The listing omitted several key facts, and the property has fatal flaws that caused us to flee to a hotel as soon as we could. In addition, although the agent we talked to agreed that the set-up was unacceptable, Booking.com refused to provide a refund. So Booking.com gets a big “thumbs down” from us, as does the property.
1. The shared bathroom is an unsanitary health hazard. There is a sign warning guests not to flush toilet paper down the toilet! Instead, it is to be placed in a little covered can next to the toilet, which was full of soiled paper from previous users when we arrived. This was a show-stopper all by itself! If the “narrow pipes” cannot be replaced, the owners could at least get a sanitary waste container like a Diaper Genie to avoid exposing guests to others’ fecal waste. Maybe a bidet seat. And the listing should warn people before they book, as people generally expect fully functional toilets. The problem was exacerbated by the bathroom being shared among an unknown number of people. The initial listing of 2 rooms misled us into thinking the bathroom was shared by just the 2 rooms; the listing should be very clear about the number of rooms sharing the bath (some medical conditions include urgency). We were totally grossed out.
2. Unvaccinated and unmasked children live in the house! They are also friendly (that would normally be nice) and do not maintain appropriate social distancing from guests. This represents a potential health hazard to guests and the listing should clearly have stated the presence of these unvaccinated children. The pandemic is not over! We have been very carefully isolating and in fact chose not to stay in a hotel so that we could minimize the number of people we would encounter. We were horrified.
3. The listing claims air conditioning, but the unit in my daughter’s room was “fan only” and the one in our room could only produce cold air when making extremely loud noise. Perhaps these units are sufficient when it isn’t 90

This property was described as having air conditioning. It did not. I was there in 92 degree weather. But more importantly- we were not allowed to flush soiled toilet tissue- we had to share a bathroom with other guests and put our soiled tissue in a waste paper basket next to the toilet because “the pipes are too narrow for toilet paper.” Disgusting and unsanitary. In a pandemic. How does a place pass inspection for guests if no one can flush toilet tissue? We stayed there a night and didn’t ask for a refund for that night, just for the 2nd night when we felt uncomfortable following the bathroom protocol. Please, do yourself a favor and spend the extra money for a hotel room.
