Great place to stay , we will definitely stay again!

We were pleasantly surprised. We stayed in room 6 and it was beautiful and so spacious. There was tea and coffee , cereal , yoghurts and fruit juices there which we didn’t expect. There was also a too coffee machine in the lobby which was nice. The beds were so comfortable we all had a great sleep. And there were usb ports in all the lamps which was so handy. Parking was right outside the property,

The only thing I could comment on is the stairs up to the rooms. There metal and very slippy and narrow. Not ideal with children and a baby ,

We loved our stay and will definitely book again.

The room was a very good size, the beds were really comfortable. The filled mini fridge was a lovely surprise. The staff were very nice and helpful.

Fabulous country pub

Very welcoming, great cozy pub/bar area. Loved the fire place. Helpful in directing us to sister pub for our evening meal.

We have some very noisy neighbours, arguing and swearing at 5am.

Brilliant easy clean exceptional coffee

A little palace with a great sister pup for food 100m away (red lion bar not open on the day i visited) would certainly use again

Home from home that’s great value for money

everything was so clean, stylish and comfortable. Breakfast already in the room with milk, orange juice and yoghurt in fridge. coffee machine in lovely lounge next to bedroom.

bit of a faff using self check. But it was worth it.

We came, we saw, we stayed, we loved it.

Did not have any of the breakfast provided, preferred to eat hot food. Already knew how good location was, watched a video on YouTube. Room and bar hospitality very good. Tim was the host, very helpful.

Exceptional facilities. Extremely satisfied.

We were not told that there was a shortcut to the rooms in the front bar. We kept walking through the full length of the pub and up the outside stairs at the back!!!

Excellent value for money, spotlessly clean and very helpful staff. lovely place to stay.

Old but quaint Inn. Very clean rooms. easy access with key boxes.Spacious family room with a little fridge.

mattress on our double bed was a little uncomfortable due to spring’s starting to be felt.

more than expected

we had a really good stay, it was very easy to check in and a good location to stay for our trip to the zoo the following day! the room was very clean and modern, the duvets were very warm and they even put a litter heater in the room as well as a radiator. they also had tea/coffee area in the room as well as breakfast cereals, yogurt drinks and milk in the fridge which we weren’t expecting! they also put on a bed guard;not sure if this is always on or if it was added because we had a child staying but was very grateful to have the bed guard to prevent him falling. also didn’t here much noise from the pub below! overall it was really good and more than we expected!

very cold in the room (rest of the building very warm) no access to rooms on front, only rear access after navigating a few different streets being woken up by shouting and a lot of noise during a 7.15 beer delivery

Peaceful break in a historic building with excellent pub below.

Exceeded expectations, I knew the Red Lion pub already and always enjoy visiting, so it was great to be able to stay on the premises in clean comfortable rooms. Very peaceful despite staying over NYE. There’s a communal area with tea and coffee facilities so you don’t have to eat your cocoa pops sitting on the bed!

No downsides. The pub isn’t open all week so you’re kinda on your own if you need anything but that wasn’t the case.

the character, the location and the mulled wine I tap!

the room was cold but we were told the next morning there was a thermostat so not an issue really but just stating here incase someone else finds that it’s cold and doesn’t know.
