We enjoyed the house and all it offered. The koi pond and food to feed them was really a cool touch.

We loved the screened in porch and all the trees and shrubs. I had a very relaxing and enjoyable time with my daughter and grandkids!

The house has been renovated. The inside is clean and convenient. The garden is beautifully designed. Overall, a good place to stay.

This is our 4th time staying at this house, we just love the layout and elbow room the ranch provides. Great location by the stadium, super convenient to everything.
We had a travel delay and Kris and Doug bent over backwards to help us solve our issue, including recommending an auto shop to fix our car. Very easy to communicate with, very kind and understanding, very responsive. We’ve enjoyed renting from them for the last 3 Easters in Annapolis.

Perfect stay for our family of five. Close to everything, including Main Street and the Naval Academy. The home is fully stocked and comfortable. We had no problem cooking a Thanksgiving dinner.

My family had a wonderful stay at Huron House. The house is spacious and beautifully decorated. It felt like a peaceful and calm respite from this busy world. The interior takes inspiration from nature, with wood, natural colors, soft lighting and beautiful artwork. The yard is lovely as well, with lots of green space and a delightful koi pond. I never knew I could get so much enjoyment by watching and feeding koi! It's a nice neighborhood too, with many people taking walks. And it is located close to anything you might want to do in the area. I would definitely love to stay again.

We chose this property to attend a Navy football game. It was within walking distance to the stadium and in a greet neighborhood.
The house had all one could ask for. The kids had tv, games, and a koi pond. As an extra bonus we got to pet the neighbors dog, a super friendly guy who helped our kids not miss our dog as much!
The home is about 3 minutes from downtown and all the great shops and restaurants. Overall the home, people, and places made Annapolis one of our favorite family trips.

The property is very nice, with extreme privacy, multiple spaces in which to relax. It is well stocked with linens, dishes, cookware, cooking basics (spices, etc.), games, outdoor equipment, and basic first aid supplies. It is located conveniently for groceries, gasoline, and visits to the historic downtown area. We highly recommend the property.

This home was absolutely amazing for our family weekend with my Midshipman after 6 weeks of not seeing him!
The kitchen where I spent most of my time cooking had everything I needed!
My 4 year old was so happy and content spending his time in the little family area playing with the legos he found in the hallway closet.
My 15 year old loved the basement and basically lived in it as her private quarters. We had my sons sponsor family over for refreshments and enjoyed our evening in the covered patio away from the mosquitos & enjoyed a big dinner with his rugby coaches around the dining table.
The ONLY thing was I had my elderly father who is very hard of seeing and we had to mark the steps with bags and post its also around the dining table but if you don’t have to worry about someone’s eyesight or constantly bumping into things - this house is for you. Also all of the flashlights and lanterns stored in the closet came in handy for him in the evening!!
The hosts were amazing and let us check in early after our long flight from CA. Again with my elderly father it worked perfect. A 5 minute drive to the Naval academy where I was twice a day. And such a cute neighborhood with families walking in the evening.
I will definitely be booking this home again for my near future stays!! Thank you so much!

Love this place! Spacious and beautifully furnished with a fully-stocked kitchen and surrounded by a lush Japanese garden that houses a family of cardinals. The beds are comfy and the bathrooms are luxurious. The location is close to everything. The hosts are wonderful - very thoughtful and easy to contact with questions.
Thank you Kris and Doug for sharing your home with us.

We were in Annapolis for 2 different lacrosse tournaments. Doug and Kris were very pro active in communication for check in, check out and during the stay. Their house was very convenient to all of the fields, team dinners and activities. We would definitely stay here again

Super convenient location to USNA, downtown Annapolis, freeways, the mall, and Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium
We walked the short 10-minute walk to the stadium for Commissioning so we avoided all of the traffic after the ceremony.
Spacious, well maintained house with all the amenities we needed. Koi pond in the backyard meant constant, pleasant sound of water moving over the small waterfall. Ample on-site parking and large backyard. The screened in patio was nice for outside-but-inside dining.
We enjoyed our week-long stay and would definitely stay at Heron House the next time we are in Annapolis.
Go Navy, Beat Army!!

A very well appointed property. We stayed here to attend the Annapolis Sailboat Show and this year, the remote parking was at the Naval Academy Stadium so it was a short walk to the parking lot to catch a free 7 min bus ride to the City Dock. The house has a very well equipped kitchen so dining in was very much like cooking at home. Very quiet neighborhood; accurate house use instructions. Easy check in and check out. Highly, highly recommend

This is our second stay at Heron House. We were supposed to come in the spring but we had some parental problems and had to change out plans. To say they were accommodating is an understatement. We give 5 stars for every possible category.

Family Reunion
Location was great for our family reunion. The property grounds were well kept and provided a sense of seclusion for personal time and family gathering. The pond is very tranquil. Location of light switches were a challenge but effective.

This beautiful property did not disappoint!!!
My family rented this property in hopes of enjoying a weeks full of Graduating and Commissioning events as we are the proud parents of a 2022 United States Naval Academy graduating class. The house was stocked with many items that made the stay enjoyable. The communication process with the owners was easy. The location was perfect. I would definitely consider renting again.

We had a great time and enjoyed staying in the Heron home! It was clean, nicely decorated and organized. The hosts were very responsive. Check in was simple and easy. It was so sweet, we got a welcome gift when arriving and the towels were placed on each of the beds for each person. Those little touches go a long way! The KOY pond was nice and they gave KOY food to feed them. The property and home have plenty of space! All the amenities you need were there.
The neighborhood was a residential area outside of the downtown area that was safe, clean and saw people and families walking around.
It was about a 10 minute drive to the cute downtown Annapolis area. Also about 10-15 minutes to this adorable winery (Great Frogs). The home was as pictured :-)
We would definitely stay again!

We rented Heron House so we could attend the army navy women’s lacrosse game. Heron House was the perfect location, had everything we needed, was absolutely beautiful, and we couldn’t have been happier. The screened in porch was a great place to relax the first evening that we arrived. The location was fantastic for the stadium and downtown Annapolis. The yard was spectacular! We wish we could have stayed longer and hope to return. We ordered pizza from carpaccio’s pizza recommended by the owner on the check in sheet, it was excellent!

Parents weekend
We stayed over a long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the house. The location was perfect for us near the Naval Academy campus and stadium. We cooked burgers on the grill and everything we needed to serve a family dinner was available in the well stocked kitchen. We plan on returning in about a month! Thank you Kris and Doug!

Great location in Annapolis
Two couples came to Annapolis for the Army-Navy basketball games. This property was in the perfect location, close enough to walk to campus had it not been single digit temperatures. Doug and Kris are outstanding hosts, house is exactly as pictured. Everything is provided for you and their communication and check-in process is top notch. Had the weather not been Arctic temps, we would have loved to enjoy the beautiful back yard and fire pit. Lights in the house are a bit of a challenge, but the hosts send you detailed instructions. The indoor fireplace is gorgeous. Our only issue was the size of the beds on the main floor. There is a very large master bedroom with a huge bed, 2 small rooms, one with a double and one with a twin. We did what any competitive people do....rock, paper, scissors for the big bed ;) My husband and I lost, and we are too spoiled by a king bed to sleep in a double. There is a pull out sofa in the basement, but I do not enjoy that either. We managed, but when looking for a stay again, I would not choose a place for two couples with anything less than a queen. The other couple had the perfect experience and would, of course, stay again, as long as the "win"the big bed :) Perfect weekend with great food and drinks, will definitely spend more weekends in Annapolis

Everything about this house was wonderful. The two-sided fireplace was such a nice bonus. It warmed up the house and was so comforting after our long drive to get there. The owners have thought of absolutely everything that you can possibly need to have a fun and relaxing vacation stay. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, yet still close to all that downtown Annapolis has to offer. We enjoyed the thoughtful gift that the owners left for us. We contacted the owners a short time after we arrived for instructions on locking the bedroom door to the outside (a European style lock) and they responded immediately with clear and concise instructions. You couldn't ask for better hosts.

Heron House was the perfect place for our family to be together this Christmas. There was room to spread out, so teenagers and adults could all be having fun at the same time. Sitting by the gas fireplace was an extra special treat. Doug and Kris even decorated the house for Christmas for us. The kitchen was well-stocked and made cooking easy, and dining with a view of the landscaped back yard was so relaxing. Besides being great for our family, it would be the perfect quiet place to come to finish writing a book or have a “girls weekend.” We loved it!
