We were conflicted in writing a review. The host was excellent with quick communication. The property was centrally located to everything (Main St & USNA). I add, check in and out was a breeze. However, upon arrival our oldest daughter suffered an allergic reaction to the dog hair present in the house. We contacted the owner immediately as we thought we possibly read the "no pet" policy wrong. They stated it must have been previous guest. My other daughter then spent two hours cleaning dog hair from the house. We also started to question if the house had been actually cleaned? The freezer and the door of the refrigerator had food in it. Our final concern was not being able to unpack our suitcases. With the exception of one dresser and one closet all areas were full and labeled owner. We are still baffled by the issue of the dog. There was clear evidence that a it appeared a dog had to present in the house for some time. Either that or the cleaners did not clean.
We had planned on addressing our concerns with the owner when we arrived back. However, we got a text with a picture of a toilet seat on the ground asking if we broke it. This came as a shock as we did go through the house before leaving. The conclusion was we were charged $500 for the toilet seat.
We believe this is possibly the owners primary residence and not a standard vacation rental.

This home is absolutely stunning and full of history. The location was perfect for attending the boat show, which was a short block away from the home. Plenty of beds and space for our family and extended family.
Absolutely recommend!

This lovely home was perfect for our visit. It was charming and comfortable and outfitted with anything you might need for your stay. Wonderful to have first floor sleep space with full bath. The location could not have been better, as you are steps from Main St. and the City Dock and a quick walk to the Naval Academy. We would not hesitate to request this home again!
