About this house rental
Welcome to the chalet of your dreams!
As you enter this 3 bedroom, 2 bath home, you’ll be welcomed by the natural light that so beautifully accents the charm of this magical space.
Not only is this space breathtaking, but its location is unbeatable!
You are only:
8 mins to the Climb Works Zipline Tours
15 mins from downtown Gatlinburg
15-30 mins to the Great Smoky Mountains
30 mins to Dollywood
We take the sanitation and cleaning procedures of our home very seriously. All linens are laundered with every new stay, and all commonly touched surfaces and objects are sanitized with every clean.
This home does not skimp on CHARM. From the moment you walk into our thoughtfully decorated chalet, we want you to feel at home. This all starts with how we set up our beds to maximize the space. The home is a 3/2 equipped with a king and two queen beds. Additionally, we've converted the den into a pseudo-bedroom by adding a brand new memory foam full-size mattress to the room (we'll let your family draw straws for who sleeps where—ha!).
If you want to "work from home," we've got you covered there too with our high-speed 200 mbps internet. Or completely disconnect by having a coffee, cocktail or ice cold cerveza one of our covered porch spaces.
Sure, eating at Gatlinburg's best restaurants is fun. But sometimes we all need a nice home-cooked meal, right? That's why our kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials you'll need to cook you and your family a nice dinner.
Netflix and chill anyone? While we don't offer cable, each tv has a firestick for watching all your Netflix guilty pleasures.
While the home is equipped to host 8 people, we think the perfect group size is 5-6. We're happy to host all 8, but keep in mind it is a little cozier as it's a 1500 square foot home.
We also provide a pack 'n play for anyone traveling with a kiddo :)
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ-
The house is cute and cozy but please keep in mind that this chalet is older and there are areas where its age shows. Please do not roast us in your review because some of the doors are hard to open. We believe we are priced fairly and appropriately, so if you require something super high end and modern, this is not your place.
The grill is not intended for guest use. We do not list it as an amenity. Thank you for your cooperation.
The 4th pseudo-bedroom doesn't offer the same level of privacy as the other 3 bedrooms. It must be walked through in order to enter the other two downstairs bedrooms, as it's located at the base of the staircase that leads downstairs.
AWD or 4x4 vehicles are advised during the winter season, as we do have what could be considered a steep driveway to novice mountain drivers. It's not 100% necessary, but highly encouraged. We do not refund based on weather or snowfall.
You'll need to be able to climb up ~30 stairs to access the home.
While the Cobbly Knob resort offers three different pools, they are generally open seasonally starting in summertime.
Please keep in mind that we run on septic. So please do not flush ANYTHING that's not toilet paper.
In an effort to secure the premises, we've installed a Ring floodlight at the front of the home. The neighborhood is very safe, but this helps us keep an eye on the property :)
Occasionally, you may see Mama Bear and her cubs. While they are adorable, please do not touch or go near them. And while they are so cute and look hungry, don't feed them, or leave any food or trash in your car. Again, DO NOT LEAVE FOOD IN YOUR CAR OR THEY COULD BREAK IN. If you give Ms. Berenstain and her kids some time, they will migrate off the land :)
We do have a functioning chimney that you are free to use, but the home is BYOF (bring your own firewood).
It is HIGHLY advisable that you download an Offline Map of the Gatlinburg area on your Maps app.
Here's how you do it:
1) Open Maps and search Gatlinburg.
2) Tap the word "Gatlinburg" on the bottom of the screen and this will expand the bottom half of the screen.
3) On the top right, you will see three dots. Tap this button and select "Download offline map."
4) Zoom out to download the entire Gatlinburg region. Make sure to capture everything between Pigeon Forge and Cosby.

Nice place love it 😍

When we checked in we noticed several dead bugs on the floor, moldy shower curtains, dust on the ceilings and wobbly steps. Contacted the host who was very responsive and said he would have the cleaners come out the next day to resolve the issues. The did come out to change out the shower curtains but everything else was the same. I appreciate the attempts that were made to correct the issues but I also expect more when I’m paying that much for a cabin. Overall I wouldn’t stay here again.

Really enjoyed staying here. Watch for bears! We saw one on the property one day while we were there.

This house has a great location within the neighborhood- at a higher level so better views and more secluded. And it’s location equidistant from Smokey Mountain National Park and Gatlinburg was perfect for us.

This was our first trip to the mountains. The property was fantastic and accommodating overall. The downstairs was pretty chilly even with the heat on but we were able to bundle up. What we didn't realize is how far the distance was from food and stores, it's a bit of a drive.

Our favorite part about our stay was we saw bears several times right below our patio and from reading the guestbook most guests did.. kitchen needs some restocking of utensils, can opener etc - we went and bought our own) and needs some new decor and some new mattresses but overall it was a good stay

Beautiful, clean and private
This house was absolutely gorgeous. For being in the middle of the mountains/forest, I was very impressed with the cleanliness inside and outside of the property. There were no bugs in the house upon arrival, which blew my mind.
The house was stocked with everything needed and the property owner was very communicative and easy to talk to. The roads leading up were windy but my gps did work the entire way. The beds were very comfortable!! There were 4 beds and we each had our own room! It was great! Washer dryer worked great, too! It seemed the downstairs sink was slow to drain, but it did drain and it wasn’t really a problem. Many people said they saw bears during their stay and we saw 2! 🐻 I would absolutely recommend this place. Very secluded, on a beautiful golf course and the pools were gorgeous as well. Thank you!

Clean. Convenient to Gatlinburg. Private. Well equipped. Guest shower needs new shower head. Instructions on using the TV would have helped. TV had many options and APs

This was our second trip to Gatlinburg and we were surprised to find ourselves back at exactly the same location in the Cobbly Knob Association with its maze of roads that take you up to your own private house. This house was definitely private, but not overly so when we had a black bear on our property. Our neighbor heard us and came to shoo him away, thanks Joseph! Aside from the very nice house and comfortable furnishings, (and hot tub of course), there are 2 outdoor pools that we very much enjoyed - I would’ve been happy spending my whole vacation there. Total privacy, surrounded by forest, unheated but so refreshing. And drive all the way to the Lodge to get an incredible view of the Smokies.

Host was very helpful in promptly answering questions and taking care of a need we had. We had two families of 4 staying. The cabin can indeed sleep 8, but not comfortably. Two of the three beds downstairs would be more conducive for younger children. The upstairs king bed is comprised of two mattresses on top of one another, stacked on a platform. While we understood the need to add height by putting something underneath the mattress, another mattress didn’t work well, as it wasn’t supportive. We were grateful for the air conditioning this week, as it got quite warm and the bedding is quite warm. It will likely be excellent for colder months! If you sleep hot, you may prefer to bring some cotton sheets for the summer.
We were grateful to have a mama and her cubs put on a show for us on the front hill. We saw them a couple times this week. We also enjoyed the hot tub on the basement porch after some long days on our feet.
This cabin is wonderful—nestled quite high and surrounded by woods. However, it also has quite a lot of stairs to climb from the driveway to make it in the house. The picture of the front doesn’t show half of them. There are around 30 steps. So, I wouldn’t recommend it for older or handicapped folks.
We enjoyed the decor and appreciated having access to the fire sticks for watching shows and a movie in the evenings. The kitchen serving ware was adequate, slightly lacking enough silverware for 8 people. The dining table was great, very sturdy and large, seating 8 adults. The appliances were all on the newer side and in good working order as well.

Lovely chalet comfortable for 6 adults
Cozy and nicely decorated. Kitchen small but had everything we needed to make meals. We had one issue that the owner promptly and generously took care of. Really an enjoyable stay. We also love the Cobbly Nob area and the pools that are available. It’s a nice easy 15 minute drive to Gatliinburg and about 20 minutes to Pigeon Forge via a back way. So accessible to all the fun activities and hikes but a quiet place to stay.

Beautiful Cabin
My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend and we absolutely loved it! The location is incredible with gorgeous views surrounding the property. The cabin itself is cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated. There is plenty of space and the hot tub is a highlight! There is also an abundance of wildlife around. Would definitely recommend staying here and we plan to visit again!

Nice Cabin
Overall we enjoyed out stay. It was nice and had plenty of space for us (4 adults and 3 kids). wasn't too far from downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, although it is a little bit of a drive to the nearest grocery store, so make sure you have everything you need! I probably would not recommend this cabin for young children. Our three year old had some trouble getting up and down the stairs and we were afraid he would fall. But it was perfect for the older kids who had there own spaces downstairs.

our review
mattresses down stairs needed more support, dryer did not work, jets on hottub did not work on one side, noticed water bugs in kitchen, no propane (but owner took care of crediting my account, over all nice older home, great family room, and web and TV was a plus.
