Fantastic rural setting, quiet, very spacious and easy going staff. Coffee machine was a bonus. Location close to Hadrian’s wall, Carlisle and border was convenient for exploring. Pentonbridge Inn shuttle was great idea and meal there was first rate. Enjoyed use of grounds. Easy access to local store was ideal. Products in room were high quality.
Bed was hard, a very minor point given how great everything else is.

I can't put in to words how outstanding every aspect of my stay here was. The location, service, accommodation and all of the luxury extras which were unexpected were beyond my expectations. I was here for business purposes and my stay made my work seem like a break away. I have never had such a peaceful, tranquil comfortable stay antly where else in tye world and i have travelled a lot for business purposes. I am aiming to return for a holiday there. Thank you.
There wasn't anything to not like.

The Netherby team were extremely thoughtful and kind during our stay. We would highly recommend Netherby Hall. The Lodge was the perfect spot for us and our dog to relax and unwind.
If only we could have stayed longer!

Gorgeous, stylish, spotlessly clean self catering accommodation with lovely comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen.
The whole place has been sympathetically restored to the highest standards inside and out.
The grounds and gardens were exceptional, to the point of being therapeutic; so lovely to walk around - quiet, magical and just beautiful. There is a wonderful walled kitchen garden and they are currently in the process of creating a beautiful water feature. The grounds have stunning mature trees and wildflower meadows with paths mown through them. It's very romantic and relaxing.
Just before we left, the owner was having a meeting with his heads of staff and insisted on showing us personally around the restored stables which house their horses and carriages, since horse and carriage riding is their hobby.
It was very enjoyable and entertaining. I just wish we could have visited their Michelin starred restaurant, but were not able to on this occasion. I would love to have stayed longer and I've love to visit again.
Thoroughly recommended!

Stunning location, beautiful accommodation and sparklingly clean.
Missed a big comfy settee. The 2 ‘snug’ chairs weren’t comfy and couldn’t be shared.

We stayed in the clock tower, a one bedroom apartment with en suite bath and shower. It was perfect for us and out little 3 mths old. The decor is high spec with all the facilities you need, we loved the log burner! Perfect place to take our 2 spaniels who had the run of the grounds around the main building. Peaceful getaway that we can't wait to return to. Staff were very friendly and made to feel extremely welcome. The walled garden is beautiful and Netherby Hall Gin is DELICIOUS!!
