About this house rental
Our holiday home in the picturesque town of Dartmouth, Devon has stunning views and provides easy access to the centre of Dartmouth with its many restaurants, cafes, pubs, galleries and great boutique shopping.
In our family for many years, the house has acquired an eclectic mix of furnishings and personal mementos so if you like your holiday cottage immaculately presented with 12 matching mugs in the kitchen this might not be the house for you! If however you want a home from home that has the sun streaming into the master bedroom in the morning (blackout blinds available!) and a bay window in the lounge that you'll never want to leave because the view is so gorgeous, then you'll understand why our guests return time and time again.
Top Floor: Main bedroom with kingsize bed overlooking the river & out to sea. Twin room (deep mattresses). Bathroom with separate bath and shower, toilet.
Middle Floor: entrance hall, 1 twin bedroom with sink, lounge + bay window with views of the river and out to sea.
Bottom Floor: Open plan kitchen + dining. Gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, toaster, kettle. The separate toilet is on this floor.
Outside: small lawned garden with 2 wooden benches & coffee table, 1 large table + six chairs. Please note the garden is unsuitable for ball games and unsupervised children as it has a steep drop on two sides.
Parking: The highly valued parking space outside the front door is also equipped with a universal electric car charging point that is available for guest use. NB Suitable for one small/medium sized car only. Advice on parking options for large cars is provided on request.
Check in: Saturdays only. 7 days minimum stay Apr-October inclusive.

This house was just perfect for our family holiday - great location, so close to everything that Dartmouth has to offer! Amazing views from inside and out, loved hearing the steam train everyday, the hourly church bells not so much but it all added to the experience. The house itself is very spacious and one of the best equipped kitchens we’ve ever experienced in a stay. The beds were very comfortable and the blackout blinds a godsend! Would definitely recommend but the parking is not for the faint hearted… The owner was great and very helpful in all our communications leading up to and during our stay - we arrived very late and she made herself available in case we had any problems, which thanks to the clear instructions we didn’t. Loved this house!

We felt like in our own Greenway - the House is huge, comfy beds and lively garden with stunning views. Extra plus was the parking space and the 3 minute walk to the harbour. Thank you Jennie!

A Wonderful Place to Stay
This house has the most wonderful views from the sitting room and bedroom. It is clean and comfortable with everything you need for a lovely holiday. The garden is perfect with garden furniture, palm trees, lawn and great views. It is on three levels so there are stairs to negotiate. We loved our time there.

Wonderful little break
Well we loved it here. Great position for access to the town centre but boy, the hills are steep around here! Good for the calves. Very much a homely feel to the house - set out over 3 levels with views to die for. Big bedrooms and plenty of space all round. Well equipped kitchen - large dining table. Excellent comms and information from the owner, Jennie so we did not need any help but it's there if needed.

WOW
stunning views ,definitely got the wow factor for the views from the living room, everything catered for ,parked up ,yep bit stressful only because my husband can’t park and it is down a very narrow steep road but luckily met the neighbours about to go down and park so helped us out .!so we decided not to use the car all week .(lots of people using the road just not us if your a confident driver I’m sure you won’t find it an issue)not a problem steam train to Paignton bus to Brixham , walk to little Dartmouth and do treasure trail round Dartmouth ,wish we’d done it first as it takes you all round Dartmouth and Kingswear so you end up seeing all the bits you missed .Fantastic kitchen for eating in really entertainment friendly .All in all couldn’t have asked for more,to be so close to the centre of town was perfect ,loads of great shops and restaurants think I might be going back .

Amazing views
We were so lucky to get this property during such a busy period and at a reasonable price. The house is roomy with plenty of space for extended family. The views over the estuary from the kitchen, living room, garden and bedroom are just amazing. The house was well equipped. The weather was excellent and we had a wonderful stay.

An absolute gem!
I can highly recommend this property and the ease of booking, checking out was second to none. We arrived from London on a very chilly May Bank Holiday Saturday. How lovely and welcoming to come to a warm house! The heating was on and every single room in the house was very clean, spacious, and very well furnished with good quality beds, mattresses and other furniture. The sitting room has a long picture window with a view to die for! The house is on 3 levels with the kitchen on the lower garden level. The kitchen is very well equipped with just about everything you need. I usually take kitchen utensils from home as very many short rentals never have what you need but I didn't need any of it!! The back door leads to a small and delightful garden and again with a stunning view of the river Dart and the Atlantic ocean. Boats moored on the river and the houses on the hills opposite are a wonderful view even when the weather turns unpleasant!!! The house is on a hill, there are not so difficult steps leading to the town and the steps are right next to the house. Two of us are in our 70's and we managed very well - slowly!! The town below is lovely with charming little shops and places to eat. Because of Covid restrictions, we were not able to eat inside which was a shame. Another plus is that the local people are all very friendly and helpful and the service in the shops is fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay there again. Loved it.
