A lovely property, perfect location for a family get together. Fantastic views across to Dartmouth. The closeness of the ferry makes for good people watching and early mornings! The house is well equipped and big enough for 8 adults. Claire is an excellent owner who will do her best to sort any problem big or small! We will be back.

Great location, AMAZING views!
We stayed here for a week as 6 adults, 1 5 year old and a dog over Easter. Location is fantastic, right next to the ferry to Dartmouth and steam train, so very conveinent. The house itself was extremly well equiped, every little detail and extra had been thought off. The house was roomy only downside if travelling with elderly people is there is a lot of stairs, but we left fitter so not a problem. We enjoyed the outside terrace a couple of times. Our daughter loved watching the ferry come and go, and the train coming in. Paignton is lovely to visit, fantastic for kids. Kingswear is very hilly so be aware. The best thing is the views, you can spend hours just looking out of the windows. Thank you for a great stay. Our daughter is already asking when we can go back to our pink holiday home :)

Our short stay 8n Dartmouth
SlipwayHouse was wonderful, clean, spacious, very well equipped and lovely comfortable beds. Loved the views and the noise of the ferry, loved the ferry rides to Dartmouthwhere we walked to the castle, and around the town to the fabulous shops and cafes and pubs. Went to St MarysBay and the children loved it. Wish it had been longer and in summer. Wonderful place. Thank you so much for sharing your home.

Wonderful Location
We really enjoyed our stay in Slipway House it is a great location and introduced us to Dartmouth which is a superb spot for a holiday. The owner was fantastic and really easy to communicate with she could not have been more helpful. Overall we did enjoy ourselves apart from the fact that the house was a bit tired and really could do with a bit of a contemporary spruce up which would then make it the perfect place to stay.

Great stay!
Brilliant location. Toddler loved slipway, boats, ferry and train. Lots of interest. Easy to travel along and across the river.
Very spacious with lovely sunny terrace.
Obviously there are the sounds of the sea lapping, seagulls calling and the working of the ferry but we didn’t find it a problem.

Lovely property, everything you need. The ferry and steam train is just on your doorstep too.
Great location lovely property and lovely outside area with seating. The car ferry is a little noisy but got used to it. The property is on three floors so glad I didn’t take my parents as they would of struggled with the stairs specially as main bedrooms are on the top floor and main shower room on the bottom floor.
As a family everything you needed was on your doorstep. Ferry and steam train was a minute away so we parked the car on arrival and there it stayed. Had some lovely evenings relaxing on the balcony.
Kingswear is a lovely place but very hilly. There is a Post Office next door and the people there are very helpful. A little corner shop is further up the hill for basics and their are a couple of places to eat other than that you have to go into Dartmouth for any food shopping, restaurants and shops.
Ferry service is running all day till about 10:30pm and the Steam Train to Paignton is lovely it’s like going back in time.

Wonderful property, great location
We found the owner to be tremendously helpful and accommodating. The house was lovely with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Once we arrived we didn’t need our car. Everything is easily accessible with lots to do. We travelled with 2 adults, grandparents and children aged 7,12 & 15, plus dog! The ferry outside is noisy in that it bangs when it arrives, but that was part of the character of staying in the house. We enjoyed just watching the goings on from the window. If it’s not the noisy ferry, then it would be the noisy seagulls! But what’s a holiday without a seagul?
All in all I would highly recommend this property and we would love to return.

Very comfortable and well equipped house right on the waterfront with stunning views
We enjoyed our short break very much. It was perfect for our family get together. Spacious, comfortable and well equipped. It was lovely to be right on the waterfront and enjoy the stunning views of the River Dart. You get used to the sound of the ferry coming in next to the house. I enjoyed the short ferry trips back and forth between Kingswear and Dartmouth. Lots to do and places to visit if you desire. The owner Claire was very helpful throughout the booking and leading up to our stay providing us with some helpful information prior to our stay. Would recommend.
