About this apartment rental
Location, Location, Location - so for starters - we’re just off the ‘Mountain Road’ in Stowe, about 5 minutes from World Class Skiing, Snowboarding, and Cross country skiing. And Just up the hill from the Alchemist - one of Vermont’s Premier Breweries. We’re also just across a country road from the Alchemist - one of Vermont’s Top Beer Breweries.
But Location isn’t enough. The Theatre Too - like it’s 3 bedroom brother - The Theatre in the Woods - is all about luxury finishing. Top of the line pots and pans, lovely dishes, beautiful wine glasses. Huge TVs, comfy new sofas, really nice beds, super bathrooms - the master features a lovely walk in double headed showers, and the guest bathroom has a Japanese soaking tub! Plus there’s a washer and dryer hidden in the guest bathroom - no having to drag wet ski stuff to the laundromat.
The Master Bedroom has a Queen size bed, a super sized window with views onto the woods that surround the Theatre, and a massive TV. There’s literally tons of storage - you won’t even begin to be able to fill it.
The Guest Bedroom has a queen sized - super comfy - Sofa Bed, and two twin bunk beds. Kids are going to love it! And yes - they have their own TV as well - and plenty of storage. Because of Covid-19 we have had to take out all the games and toys - so be sure to bring with you to enjoy!
The kitchen is wonderful. Small and compact and perfect for a chef who loves cooking with a view. Super sized fridge, nice stove, plenty of counter space and cabinet space too. We put in Glass on all the top cabinets so you can find what you are looking for at a glance. There’s also a huge Microwave, and a wine fridge.
The dining room table seats 8 - with plenty of lovely lighting to make it either romantic or easy to use as a work space.
The living room is dominated by the huge 66” TV hooked up to Dish Network and both a DVD and PVR player. There are a small selection of DVDs provide - but the real fun is using your Streaming Apps to pick all the possible things to enjoy on our HUGE screen.
There’s an entrance way to keep the cold out of the unit - and to give kids a place to toss all their boots and skis and junk...
Off the living/dining area are the French doors that lead out to our oversized porch - less useful in the winter of course - but glorious from April to October. Do come and relax there. We also have comfy outdoor furniture on the porch leading into the unit if you want to be outdoors but with a ‘roof’ over your head.
Right now there’s an issue with drinking water - we’re supplying every incoming reservation with a gallon, and there’s drinking water available at the Pool building for free - or for a few dollars at any of our local grocery stores. The water is safe for bathing, washing clothes, and washing dishes, but use the bottled water to make ice cubes, to brush teeth and to make coffee or tea!
So come to the Theatre Too! And have a Vacation to remember!

We had another great time in Stowe renting the Theater in the Woods, Too! This is our second time renting from Leslie and Barb and this time we rented the fancier sister and we were very pleased. Very clean (and I’m super picky) and very well stocked. It had everything we needed to be able to cook in with the kids or veg out with take out. Kids love the pool and the location is just perfect. Close to our favorite restaurants and to town and of course our favorite mountain, Stowe. Communication with owner was super easy when things came up and they make you feel very welcome with lots of information. Can’t wait to come back!

This was our first visit at ‘Theater in the woods too’ but our third visit of the 2 theater in the woods properties! We absolutely loved this space, lovely furniture, comfortable beds and linens, great showers, stocked, clean, great kitchen, wonderful gas fireplace and tons of storage space. These two properties feel like home away from home and help create wonderful family memories! Perfect location too!! Thank you!

Property is very cozy. Host is very attentive and responsive to anything you need. Very convenient to drive to Stowe to ski, like 5 min. The bus is pretty easy too about 10-15 min walk from the place, comes every 30 min. There is a hill though, so be prepared to walk back up it with your gear if you do plan to use the bus to ski.

This was a well appointed, apartment right in the heart of Stowe. Minutes from wherever we wanted to be. Communication with the hosts was great, easy check in, and the place was immaculate. Highly recommend.

The Theater Too is a great place to use as base camp to explore the wonders of beautiful Vermont. Super convenient to town, the ski resort and Smuggler’s Notch. Leslie was fantastic at communicating everything we needed to know ahead of time, with great recommendations for hikes, restaurants, grocery stores and things to do for our first time in the area. We will be back and we will stay here the next time.

I wasn’t expecting the steps though. I traveled with my elderly mom and the steps were challenging. There are first steps down and then a short two flights up. It was ok but I must’ve overlooked that detail.

We stayed in Stowe and used the condo as a base for day trips. It was comfortable and roomy enough for our teen to have some alone time. The outdoor porch was a glorious spot to view stars at night and the mountain in the daylight. Would definitely stay here again.

We took our annual family vacation in Stowe and stayed at Theater in the Woods. The kitchen was fully equipped with a good set of pots and pans so I could cook for my family of 5.
We had enough beds in the rooms, but the pull out sofa bed was a bonus.
Everyone enjoyed the huge tv in the living room and bedroom.
The location was awesome. It is so close to town, a short drive to Idyletime, across the street from the Alchemist, and walking distance to a cool bar called Après for a night cap.
The owners sent me a ton of helpful info and were highly communicative. We didn’t need much, but they were available at a moment’s notice if needed.
The only things that I would recommend would be that the kitchen could use one good chef’s knife and to make sure to start the master shower a few minutes because it takes awhile to warm up.

We had a wonderful time staying at this property for a week in June. It was impeccably clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and the beds were comfortable. The hosts were also very gracious and responsive. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We had a great 4-night visit in February 2023. The place was clean and comfy (heated kitchen floor!!), check in was a breeze (just a lock box), and parking was close by. About a 12 minute drive to Stowe Mountain Resort and close by to piles of restaurants and shopping in Stowe. The pool was great and kept the kids happy when it was too cold to ski. Great communication with the owners. All around great time!

This was a great place and I we would definitely stay again. It is well maintained, very comfortable, great layout. Hosts provided lots of suggestions for hiking, skiing, activities in general. Easy access to the Stowe recreation trail for us runners.

We had a great time on our first visit to Vermont. This property’s location is fabulous—walking distance to Alchemist Brewery and restaurants. Beautiful view from the back deck. The outside areas were dirty—the table, chairs (cushions were wet because they were left out in the rain—there was a storage box where they could’ve been stored), and the deck covered with dirt and leaves. The inside has some nice features, including an updated, well-appointed kitchen. Two full baths were essential and welcomed. We had one issue during our stay and the property contact came and took care of it. There are a lot of couches including two pullouts, so there’s plenty of room for lounging and sleeping. Easy check in and check out. Recommend!

We throughly enjoyed our long weekend in Stowe and staying at the property. We will be returning and staying longer. The location and amenities fitted our needs. We loved the hiking and mountain biking trails near the property. Great experience!

Walking distance to Stowe. Cool condo well equipped but a bit dated and needs some maintenance but very comfortable for the three of us to explore the area. Only complaint was old carpet I’m bedrooms. I gave it five star as it meet all our needs. So much to see and explore in NYE area.

Beautiful two-bedroom condo with ample space for the four of us (two parents and two kids). Easy walk to Stowe Rec Path, restaurants, ice cream, bike rental, and mini-golf, and right next to the Alchemist brewery. Kitchen has all the cooking gear and appliances you need, including a working full-size refrigerator, freezer, microwave, toaster oven, and dishwasher. And there's a washer and dryer in the unit! Huge help when you're there for a week or more. The hosts were very friendly and sent us detailed information about the rental and the area. We would happily stay here again.

We stayed at the property for 5 days and really enjoyed ourselves. It’s a very convenient location to downtown Stowe and even those locations out of town. It’s a very comfortable condo and I was amazed at how well stocked it was from soaps, shampoo, detergent, dish ware, etc. The best I’ve ever seen. The shower/tub in the guest bathroom could be a challenge for some. Great stay.

Easy to reserve the property and very quick response times from the owner. Great location and easy access to Stowe, local hikes and activities, and walking distance to The Alchemist Brewery. Plenty of room for three adults (it’d be comfortable for a family of 4, too!). Greatly appreciated recommendations that were provided for hikes, restaurants, and even for our second leg of the trip to Portland, ME. Thank you for the hospitality. If we make a trip back to VT, the Theater in the Woods 2 will be on our list for the stay!!

We loved our time in Stowe. Theater In the Woods Too was the perfect space four our family of 4. We spent 6 nights there. It was a well stocked kitchen so we were able to cook. It was also a perfect location close to good restaurants, an easy drive to different hikes and a quick drive into old town Stowe. My girls enjoyed the use of the indoor pool in the afternoons. The owners were prompt to reply to our questions and the property was very clean.

Nice with some issues
Leslie was responsive and check in was easy. We felt safe here and the location was fantastic. However, the bunk room was missing slats on the blinds and it was very bright starting at 5 am, waking my kids every day. I told the host and she said she’d make a note but offered no solution. The bunk bed is incredibly creaky/loose so any tiny wiggle on the top bunk makes loud noises so my second child ended up sleeping in the sofa bed in there so as not to wake her sister. Hot water took a long time to come upstairs and never got very hot in the master shower. Carpet was worn and coming up so that it wrinkled in the bedrooms which we tripped over a few times. The kitchen was great and easy to make meals. There were several windchimes out back against the bunk room which my husband had to take down temporarily so my kids could sleep on a windy night. We had a good trip but wouldn’t stay here again because my kids didn’t sleep well and the shower. Other than the windchimes, it was very quiet and parking was easy/open and again the location can’t be beat. Everything was clean as well.

We had an excellent stay at this property . It’s located within walking distance of shops , breweries , restaurants . The kitchen was very well stocked - way beyond what one would expect . In terms of amenities within the apartment , everything was very well maintained and new . Would love to come back during fall

Great location- under 10min to the slopes. Did a few waterfall hikes on the warm days. Great set up for family of 4…. Very clean and exactly what we were hoping for.
