This is a large, clean home (four bathrooms!) in a nice neighborhood. Right now the next-door neighbor has an extensive project underway that creates some noise, but that will be temporary. The walk to the dock area is quite steep, but the dock area is very nice. We appreciated the enclosed area with shade as well as the open deck, and we used the kayaks often. With a 20-min paddle in either direction, Freshwater Creek or Contrary Creek areas can be accessed, with no houses around! We saw bald eagles, foxes, deer, herons, and a family of beavers.

We rented the property for a vacation with my parents are were disappointed that the home was not the same as the listing. When we approached management about the inconsistencies they first said they would check into it, then asked for a screen shot of the website, then removed the feature from the listing, then claimed it was never on there. Main issues were. Property was to include access to a covered boat slip. It did not. Property was to include a screen porch on boat dock. One side of the screen was missing. In addition the boat house and dock were in serious disrepair. To the point it was a dangerous place for small children. The main railing on the top deck was literally about to fall off. The deck on the main house has multiple boards that have popped up and were a tripping hazard. A/C unit ran the entire time we were there and only once actually got to the correct temperature. It did have plenty of parking and the cove it is in is very nice. That said. We will not be retuning to this house.

Great game room, children's area. View of the lake is a bonus. Roomy home that accommodates 10 people with room to spate.

The house is nice and we enjoyed our stay.

The home was as advertised. Our family of four enjoyed relaxing during our spring break. It rained most of the time but we still took out the kayaks one afternoon and enjoyed exploring the neighborhood. The views and the deck, especially, were highlights.

Beautiful home with stunning lake views. Lots to do but did nothing but relax and enjoy the time with our three grown kids.

This was our first time staying on Lake Anna and we had an amazing time. I have stayed at many VRBOs and this house had everything you need and a very well stocked kitchen. I love to cook for people so this was a huge plus for me. We would definitely stay at this lake house again.

Fantastic property. We’ve stayed at various properties at Lake Anna and this is hands down our favorite. Book it, you won’t regret it!

Outstanding home with great accommodations, presented cleanly and with nice amenities. Table expanded to seat a 2nd Thanksgiving dinner with our east coast family. Beds were comfortable, house well stocked. Downside was dishwasher did not operate, other than that we highly recommend!

So we arrived and the house had not been cleaned. The code didn’t work to get in. After 3 hours on Thanksgiving eve we were finally able to unpack and get a quick bite. The next few days were great. Just didn’t start off the way we planned.

In the 20yrs that I've been vacationing at Lake Anna, this is definitely in my top two properties that I've rented..., and it is four-legged friendly (Wow!). The house is very well appointed inside, and the dock house porch and deck area are fantastic for maximizing your time "Waterside". The new swim/dive platform was a hit with the kids and the pups. Of super convenience was the paved driveway from main house to the dock house. Most of the properties at Lake Anna have pretty steep slopes from house to the water, and Waterside is no exception, however, this pavement was super effective and convenient for shuttling both guests and equipment back and forth from the dock house. The TVs were a little hard to figure out, but then it doesn't help when you're trying to figure them out while network/cable connectivity is super poor due to bad weather, but then again..., why would you spend a lot of time/effort watching TV when you are in such a beautiful setting surrounded by so much non-digital fun. Loved it; would definitely visit again!.

Loved the property—the view is amazing!
Lots of room for everyone. Immaculately clean, with all new appliances and very comfy beds.
FYI—the upper bunk beds are rated for no more than 125 lbs so not useable for adults.

This was our second trip. The first was in Feb.
This time we could enjoy the boats shed and deck and get the kayaks out on the water. Then finish the night sitting around the gas fireplace on the deck of the house.
Beautiful property that is extremely clean and well maintained.

This house was great for two families. We had 4 adults and 4 kids and there was plenty of space for all of us. And most importantly, this may have been the cleanest vacation house I’ve ever rented. It was immaculate. I’m always leery about renting homes that allow dogs because frankly the smell and hair that can be left behind is gross. And I would have never known a single pup set a paw in this house. It was great.
The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. The master bathroom shower alone is enough to make me rent the house again. It was made out of hopes and dreams. We cooked all three meals a day in that kitchen during our stay and had everything we needed. Just bring the food and you’re good to go.
The bedrooms were all spacious and comfortable and came with lots of extra blankets, pillows and sheets. The beds were all so heavenly.
While we didn’t spend a ton of time at the boathouse we did use the kayaks for a few hours one morning. I always appreciate homeowners that provide them. The kids and adults alike had a blast cruising around in them.
And check out was a breeze. There has been more than one rental where the check out process was pretty extensive. This one was easy which I really appreciate with kids to pack up and get out of the house under the allotted time.
A few things to note if you go: take your own beach/lake/outdoor towels. Lots and lots of fluffy bath towels are provided but none for outdoor use.
Lots of life jackets are provided too but they are all adult sized. You may want to bring any child sized ones you need for your kiddos.
And while there is WiFi it’s not very dependable. If you need it for work or to watch live sports (GO CAPS!) I would suggest bringing a hot spot for a backup.
In short, I would absolutely rent the house again. Cheers

Relaxing place to stay on the lake
My husband, sons and daughters-in-law enjoyed a lovely 2 week stay at Waterside. The house was very comfortable with plenty of room to spread as well as nice places to get together to play board games and such.
The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, dishes and pots and pans. We took advantage of the grill and fire pit (s'mores!)
The family enjoyed the kayaks and the provided life jackets.

Weather was amazing which made using the deck just amazing. Great location watching sunrise over the lake in the morning. Took one star off for an older dock with splinters in most of the kids by the end of the week and really no room at the dock to sit in tue sun and watch the kids play off the dock. But the house is really well appointed and we thoroughly enjoyed ourself.

Spent a week here recently. The house was great! Very nicely decorated. We loved the pool table downstairs! It rained quite a bit so that came in handy! Even with the rain it was so relaxing. Went for a few hikes in lake Anna state park which is close to the house. The house only offers a Keurig for coffee, which was fine but we are not fans of Keurig and often drink 2 pots a day between us!! so u can imagine how many k-cups we would go through! Simple fix we went to the dollar store and picked up a cheap coffee maker. Oddly enough this is the second house we have rented in the past year that had only a single cup coffee maker, not sure if this is a trend? we will just keep the spare coffee maker with our vacation stuff incase we run into this again! Other than that, which was a non issue, the house was awesome! VACASA was very quick to respond when I asked about the coffee maker because I couldn’t find it. they were very sweet and offered to bring us a reusable K-cup insert since we had brought our own coffee grounds, Which I thought was above and beyond!
Would highly recommend this house for a relaxed vacation!! Very comfy!

What an absolutely beautiful home! It was very clean and the little details made such an impression. Things like the cute decorated bath towels on each bed, having toiletries in each of the bathrooms, and even providing coffee k-cups! The home is very spacious and well laid out. Huge deck with plenty of seating and a gas fire pit was so nice. There are many other great qualities about this home and being right on the lake is a huge bonus. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!
