About this apartment rental
Situated in Bayview Road in Woolacombe, Rosalie enjoys a fantastic location, just minutes from the beach (so you can pop back for lunch rather than have sandy sandwiches!). Although only a short walk to the shops, bars and places to eat, it is on a quiet private road with speed bumps. This cosy apartment has been furnished tastefully and to a very high standard. With 2 bedrooms, 2bathrooms, an outdoor shower and 3 separate terraces looking out to sea, it has been designed and furnished with visitors very much in mind. Should you wish, you can park the car and not use it again all week! From the two allocated and marked off road parking, entrance is through a gate and down some steps passing the charming little garden and BBQ area on the right with gorgeous sea views. Then down a few more steps to the front door and the “Surfers Room” to its left. This lockable shower room has a hanging rail for wet suits and can accommodate some surf boards depending on size (picture should give some idea), just so convenient for a holiday next to one of the finest surf beaches in the UK! Once inside the apartment it is all on one level. To the left is a useful utility cupboard with iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, floor mop etc. Immediately on your right is the family bathroom with bath with over shower and glass splash-screen, WC, hand basin with mirror and heated towel rail. The well-equipped kitchen has a built-in electric oven and gas hob, under-counter dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, and freezer. In this area is the wall mounted gas boiler for central heating and hot water. Adjacent to the kitchen is the dining area with and extendable table. The sitting area has two comfortable pale blue fabric covered sofas. There is an oak sideboard and matching bookcase. A 37” Panasonic HD TV is swivel mounted and with inbuilt Free-sat capability and a separate Blu-Ray DVD player. There is unlimited fibre Wi-Fi.
The main bedroom has a king size bed, a generous built in wardrobe, dressing table and a wall-mounted Freeview TV. Adjacent is a fully tiled shower room with WC, heated towel rail, hand basin, and mirror with vanity shelf. The second bedroom has two single (2’6”) divan beds, a dressing table with mirror, bedside tables and a built-in double wardrobe with full-length mirrored sliding doors.
The apartment provides an infant’s high chair and travel cot for visitors’ use.
The apartment has exclusive parking for two cars and one “visitor” space available on a first come basis.
From the living area by the kitchen, glazed double doors lead out to a small sunny sheltered terrace. Morning coffee or an alfresco breakfast can be enjoyed from the bistro table and chairs. This terrace is south and east facing, is sheltered and can be in sunshine well in to the late afternoon on summer days. On the other, western, side of the apartment is another, larger terrace with a six-seater table and chairs suitable for barbeques using the built in BBQ. The apartment also has a lovely fully securely fenced garden with a small lawn and planted beds, with views out across Woolacombe Bay. There is a small summerhouse in the garden in which some equipment is stored including the dog cage and BBQ equipment. This is lockable and guests may choose to use this for additional storage for beach items. As previously mentioned, next to the front door is the lockable Surfers Room with a radiator, glass sided cubicle with a heated shower. The room has space for some secure board storage and wetsuit drying. There is also an outside tap and hose which can be used for rinsing off sand. Finally, attached to a wall and hidden from general view is an anchor point for bike locks.
A £150 security deposit will be pre-authorised and then released again after the holiday. The charge for bringing your faithful four-legged friend is just £20 per dog and will be invoiced to be paid at balance stage.
Rosalie is part of Parade House, one of the first houses to be built in the village, and the former home of Miss Rosalie Chichester, the 19th century founder of Woolacombe as a holiday resort. She owned most of the land in and around Woolacombe as part of her inherited Arlington Court Estate, which she gave to the National Trust in the 1940s. It is thanks to Rosalie’s gift that we can all enjoy free access for walking in the outstanding and protected coastal scenery the area provides.
Rosalie is an outstanding property, well thought out specifically for the holiday maker with a beachside holiday in mind and is so close to the village yet far enough to remain peacefully situated with plenty of outdoor options to enjoy.

This apartment ticks so many boxes. Location, secure garden, dog friendly, outdoor surfers shower room, 2 parking places, quiet. No sea view from apartment, but lovely sea view from main garden, and also from small enclosed patio by kitchen area. Very nicely decorated with well equipped kitchen, and lovely welcome pack. The only issue is that there is damp and a couple of cupboards have a very damp smell, with evidence of damp on walls at entrance door end of apartment. Unfortunately asthma doesn't do well with damp, and for that reason alone we wouldn't return to this apartment.

Not the first time in Woolacombe, but the first time with Holiday Home Hunter and first in Rosalie. Easy booking and communication. Great accommodation in a fabulous location, everything we needed for a week's stay, very comfy bed. We made the most of the very nice outside areas because of the unexpectedly good weather and all fully enclosed for our pooch. If I had one criticism, and it's very minor, the steps down to the front door under the neighbours bridged entrance, needed a good clean. Would definitely stay again.

Rosalie is a comfy cosy quiet apartment in a fantastic position, with private parking and three terraces with amazing sea views all getting the sun (when it’s out) makes this apartment a great place to stay in Woolacombe. Thanks for the lovely welcome hamper, with lots of sweet treats to keep us going for a few days.

Good quality cot and high chair were provided thank you. We brought our own cot mattress and this was essential so worth highlighting that is required for future guests.
Great location only 10 minutes from the beach, though sea views only from outside patio and top terrace. Steep steps down to front door, but this was mentioned in description. Not ideal for older people or those with young children.
Well equipped kitchen and good TV with Netflix and catch up channels.
The apartment was compact, smaller than we had expected.

Had a great holiday, woolacombe is a fantastic place. Rosalie has everything you need, it’s comfortable in a fabulous location, if like us you have a four legged companion it’s perfect and having a garden is such a bonus.
Holiday home hunter were great as usual, Maddy is great!

Rosalie is in a great spot just a stroll to the beach and all the bars and restaurants. The property was very clean and well equipped. This is the second time at Rosalie and I'm sure it won't be the last. Great sea views and garden space.. very doggy friendly. So close to the beach you can leave your car parked up for the holidays and avoid the beachfront parking fees !

Nice little place in a great location. Areas of the garden have lovely views to enjoy mealtimes and early mornings with a cuppa.. really nice not having to drive or pay parking for once as the accommodation is just a short walk to the beach and all the bars, restaurants and all important pasty shop.

We stayed in Rosalie many times when our girls were younger but then moved onto some of the larger accommodations when we wanted more space. This was our first time back in Rosalie for about 8 years and it was just as fabulous as we remembered!
It has been really well cared for and had everything we needed. Outdoor space is great and perfect for dogs. If you’re there in the summer make sure and visit Barricane Beach for the evening curry.

Excellent location just yards from the beach and village but nice and quiet. Apartment very clean and bright great brick built barbecue will be back.

Great location with close access to beach via footpath or road. Great views from the garden and decking areas.
Unfortunately one of the inside showers was out of use since it leaked below (we were told about this beforehand after we had paid the full amount and was offered some compensation). The other shower inside looks like it will be leaking soon with the general state of the grouting.
There was an outside shower and useful board storage which was good and stopped sand being taken inside. Would recommend this overall.

Perfect location to access all that Woolacombe has to offer from the fabulous beach to the cafes, bars and shops. The Rosalie is nestled in the cliffs facing the beach with its garden offering a breathtaking view- perfect with a glass of wine!
We have stayed here on numerous occasions with our children and now with our pugs- Maddie and Sarah from Holiday Home Hunter are perfect hosts.

We have visited Rosalie many times over a 6 year or so period. It was, on our first visit a jewel in the crown. Now some years later the furniture is all the same. The settees are very deep seated so no support for your back so not comfortable or easy to relax on unless you can slouch. The small shower cubicle has a deep step up and getting out can prove a slip hazard with no support. The shower itself was dirty around the switch and the hose and its very old. On this visit the main bathroom could not be used as it was leaking downstairs. The double doors to the veranda were rotten and I had to clean them to see out. The cooker oven knob is melted. The washing machine is too big for the space and the door does not close and the plinth at the bottom falls off. Our previous visit in June there was a leak from the sink running to downstairs via the outside. A temporary fix was done whilst we were there and to date it is still a temporary fix. We left early and we will not return until the owners start to spend on it and not use it like a cash cow. Over priced for the living standards. Very disappointed.

Staying at Rosalie is all about location, being close to the beach, and able to walk down in your wetsuit with your surfboard (or beach gear) under your arm. Once you’ve had your fun you can then walk back and jump straight in the outdoor shower room for a rinse off.
The rest of the flat is of a good standard generally, with wooden floor throughout, useful for keeping on top of the sand that seems to find its way everywhere. It is also (as we found during our most recent stay) fairly cool in a heatwave, thanks to the fact it is at the rear of the building and on the middle floor.
Rosalie is also close to The Red Barn for those post surf/beach beers…realistically what’s not to like?

Fab location, super clean and comfy apartment .
Loved the three outside areas. Bbq one night with plenty of room around the table , brekky on other terrace and the little garden with summer house great after a day on the beach .Comfy, clean, spacious apartment had everything we needed , outside hose great re rinsing off sandy surfboards and feet. Good easy car parking.
Another super holiday in Woolacoombe
Thank you

We had an amazing stay at Woolacombe. The apartment is well equipped and was exceptionally clean.
I would highly recommend this accommodation to others and would most definitely book to stay here again.

Easter break
An ideal holiday home for young family or couple in a great location close to the beach and village of Woolacombe. The lounge area is comfy, the kitchen is well equipped, the master bedroom is light and airy, the second bedroom is suited to younger children. The outside areas are great for drying off beach/surf kit, have plenty of outdoor furniture but have limited views of the sea. You should be aware access is via approx 8 steps down to the front door. Two bathrooms and a surf wet room with shower is a bonus after a day in the sea.

Well equipped with great views from the terraces. It was perfect for us and our 2 dogs with the amazing beach less than 5 minutes walk. Will stay here again.

Fabulous central location
Rosalie is a very homely apartment. Great central, but quiet location. Terraces and garden have great beach and bay views. Dog friendly outside areas. Highly recommended.

We couldn’t have been more pleased with this set-up. A home away from home with lovely outdoor settings to add to the experience and ole try of places for the dogs to sniff about. So close to that enormous beach with plenty of scope for swimming, surfing, walking and dining afterwards. Looking forward to booking again in the future.

A home from home in a great location
We have stayed at Rosalie twice now and will return. It is a lovely apartment, very clean and well enough equipped for a holiday let with very comfortable sofas. The two bathrooms and the shower in the surfer room are very useful. The location is great - nice a quite but very close to the village centre and an easy walk to the beaches even with body boards.

Brilliant!
Always a pleasure to stay in this comfortable apartment. Lots of outdoor space and convenient for beach and restaurants. Fantastic walks all around. We love it every time.

Lovely, comfortable and well equipped apartment with great outdoor space and location.
A very comfortable apartment for a great family (dog included) holiday in Woolacombe. Rosalie is the middle of 3 apartments at the back of Parade House so accessed off Bay View Road. Parking on Bay View Road with access to the private garden area (adjacent to the gardens of flats 1 and 3) and steps down to the apartment entrance. The apartment itself is well furnished and equipped and the 'surfers room' came in very handy for the boards and wetsuits. Nice to have a terrace off the lounge to sit and have a coffee with views of the beach through Parade House. The garden area (back up the steps) was a wonderful little oasis with glorious elevated views of the beach and beyond and a great place to sit for a drink and take in the views. We didn't use it but there is a BBQ and outdoor seating also at this level and a nice summerhouse with a couple of sun loungers. We were a family of 4 adults and the second bedroom is perhaps more suitable for younger children - and the steps wouldn't suit everyone - but all in all we very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Wonderful
We had a wonderful stay at Rosalie. It was perfectly clean and the bed was very comfy. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking but there are many lovely places to eat in woolacombe and great takeaway service at most restaurants. Perfect location, just a few minutes walk to the beach and the view of the beach from the garden is wonderful. Enclosed garden which was great for peace of mind as we took our two small dogs. Perfect holiday.

Perfect spot in Woolacombe
Rosalie is in a great position, minutes to the centre and the main beach of Woolacombe, as well as the smaller coves. It’s two outdoor spaces provide plenty of outdoor eating options, and space to get away if needed.
The top garden has lovely sea views and is a real sun trap, so the loungers and chairs are in a perfect spot, there’s also a barbecue which is a nice touch.
The inside is simple and modern with good Wi-fi and nicely laid out.
Holiday Home Hunter are always a pleasure to deal with, so we book all our Woolacombe holidays with them, and have done so now for fifteen years.

An apartment with a garden!
Rosalie is a two bedroom apartment at the rear of Parade House. Although there are no sea views from inside the property, there is a small terrace (perfect for al fresco breakfast!) with a glimpse of the beach and a lovely terrace and garden space looking along the length of the beach and out to sea.
The apartment is nicely presented and comes with two reserved, off-street parking spaces - a must-have for Woolacombe.
It is fully equipped and ready to give guests a lovely holiday -if the weather obliges!

Lovely apartment in a great location
Rosalie is a lovely apartment in a great location - probably the best place we have stayed in Woolacombe and we have been coming for about 15 years! We particularly enjoyed the outside areas which were great for a morning coffee. Our dog loved the grassy bit.
4.8
Great Holiday
Rosalie is in a fantastic spot, very close to the centre of the Village, and an easy barefoot walk to the beach. It’s outdoor space is good if a little unusual, but there is a nice little grass area for sunbathing, whilst listening to the waves, and a table and chairs for eating out.
4.8
Wonderful week at Rosalie
Rosalie is a lovely, comfortable, well equipped and central apartment. There is a small secure garden (ideal if you have dogs with you) and a lovely little courtyard with a view of the beach to enjoy a coffee in the morning or sit and chill with a wine in the evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return to Rosalie.

Rosalie was great!
Perfect position for coast path and beach. Well equipped and outside space is a real bonus. Can see surf shower outside being perfect when it warms up enough for us to don the shorty wetsuits and get in the surf.
