WHY UpYonda?
Where doing NOTHING is doing SOMETHING...
It is experiencing a disconnect from the stress of everyday life and reconnecting with yourself, as a couple, with your family, with friends, or simply by yourself. We all need time to recharge and energize and it is this experience we wish for our guests.
It is a paddle in one of our complimentary use watercrafts - kayaks, canoe, or paddle boat - exploring an undiscovered shoreline. It is savoring freshly caught crabs when in season right from our private dock or throwing in a fishing line and testing your fishing skills (pole and crab pots available for your use). Contact Little River Seafood for the best crabs when you need more than you’ve caught. Want to make it a full on seafood buffet? - A Fishing charter is a must try. Captain Fisher at fishersbaycharters.com will have you reeling them in.
It is engaging in lawn games - cornhole, frisbee, badminton, disc golf, life size chess, and more. Book a Tee-time and play on a design winning golf course, or take a bike ride along the bi-ways to the free river ferry crossing and back.
It is relaxing on the back porch with a good read in your lap, dog by your side, while overlooking the serene and private water views. Overhead fans boosting the enveloping water breeze to keep you cool on a warm sunny day. Relax around the fire pit (firewood provided) making s’mores and memories. Enjoy a swing on the hammock while listening to the water lap the shoreline - is there anything more relaxing? Perhaps sipping on a favorite drink, think morning coffee or evening sweet tea on the dock as you watch your new world drift by.
It is an animated conversation in the deep seating Great room, preparing meals together in the kitchen, and playing board games or a cut-throat game of cards around the banquet sized dining table.
It is experiencing what the locals call home. Breath deep while you walk and picnic on the beach at Hughlett's Point, a birders heaven. Root through thrift shops, score an antique treasure, tour the wineries, or savor that perfectly built burger paired with a craft beer. Farmers markets on the weekends, dine at some of our favorites - Crazy Crab and Reedville Market both located in the beautiful fisherman's town of Reedville, as well as Horn Harbor just down the road in Burgess to name a few. We can tailor any special requests you just need to ask!
This is YOUR time to discover all the Northern neck has to offer. Memories are here to be made...by YOU...at UpYonda.

Beautiful house, secluded and very private. Highly recommend

Very fun place to stay. Located on the water, crabbing was great right off the dock. Paddle boat and kayaks, lots of yard games available, board games inside. Hosts were very available when needed. House was super clean. This was a great place to stay!

It is a beuatiful home in a secluded neighborhood. It was very quiet and relaxing. Crabbing off the dock was a big hit & brought in some crabs every day. The amenities were abundant, although one of the bikes was missing & there was only a jet tub inside, no hot tub outside like we thought but it wasn't anything we needed anyway. Having water outside to hose off sand or crud on the kayaks would have been nice as well but we made it work. We enjoyed taking our boat out on the river daily & even saw a couple of stingrays one day. It is definitely a place to go if you want to be away from crowds. We ended up going to Colonial Beach one day to swim, which was 1 1/2 hours away. It was a decent place to go.
Unfortunately, the beach close by to Reedville was very small, there were a lot of jellyfish and a lot of seaweed. Hughlett Point was amazing, very beautiful there and fun to explore. And, a cruise to Tangiere Island is a must. We were lucky enough on our cruise to see some commercial fishermen bringing in their haul. Compass Entertainment Center was a hit with our teens. We found that a lot of restaurants and shops open later in the week and there really isn't much to do anywhere nearby. All in all we had a wonderful trip. UpYonda was great. It was very clean, had beautiful views from the house and from the deck, had plenty of amenities, and the hosts were very responsive & helpful. We would definitely recommend UpYonda for anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

Exceptionally clean and well stocked. House has plenty of room and very nice upstairs bedroom/bath layout. Relaxing and pleasant - right on the Little Wicomico River (canoe and kayaks available). Thoroughly enjoyable experience!

We had a wonderful stay Up Yonda. The kids had plenty to do with fishing, crabbing, and outdoor games. We had a delicious meal at Horn Harbor, booked a fishing charter, and took the ride to Tangier Island. The many suggestions of local restaurants and activities was helpful. It was a trip where we made so many fun memories with our kids. Thank you so much.

Up Yonda did not disappoint. The house was beautiful, comfortable, and clean inside and out. We enjoyed fishing and crabbing right off the dock, the outdoor lawn games, and the fire pit. For the early riser, take your coffee down to one of the chairs on the dock and enjoy the sunrise. We enjoyed morning walks around the neighborhood, local wineries, exploring Kilmarnock, and took the cruise to Tangier Island. We always looked forward to returning to home base in the evening to sit outside and enjoy the property. It has something for everyone young and old alike.

The house was impeccably clean with lots of amenities on a beautiful spot. Check-in was simple. The house was nicely furnished. Our only suggestion would be to change the indoor lighting. The lamps and lighting was very dim and gave the house a very dark feeling after sunset.

Our family truly enjoyed our stay! This vacation was one of the best we have had in a long time. There was so much to do, kayaking, fishing, swimming. We didn't need to go anywhere to have a great time. Thank you so much for sharing your place with us.

Mark and Erin’s home was delightful! Four adults and 1 child played either outside or in the entire time! We brought our boat and enjoyed beautiful weather on the river and the Bay. Crabbing, fishing, kayaking, biking to name a few outdoor activities. The outdoor games were great fun as well.
The inside of this home is well appointed, comfortable and fully equipped! The porch is awesome too.
Here’s how great it all was….. there were no Ipads open or iPhones used except to take pics!

Our stay was great! Great view, quite and relaxing. The only thing I was disappointed with was that none of the local restaurants and shops open until Friday and most not until Friday night. We did find an amazing seafood supply store on Thursday (when it opened) to get seafood and cooked at home on Thursday and Friday. The house manager did a great job listing restaurants in the area but some are no longer in business and again most dont open until Friday afternoon or evening! I did leave notes in the book that was supplied for the next guest. Other than this...great stay!

We loved our time here. The house is exactly as it looks in the photos, and is very well equipped for a comfortable stay. We had six people in the house- my husband and myself, our kids (7 & 9), and my parents- and we never get cramped or like we were tripping over one another. We played yard games, kayaked, fished, and enjoyed the view. The hosts were quick to point us to a local boat ramp (Smith Point) that didn’t require a ride out into the bay to get to the house.
I recommend taking the trip to Tangier while you’re there. It’s a neat place and was almost exactly the same as when I visited twenty years ago. The boat ride is fun and we saw a school of bottle nosed dolphins on the way back.
We got dinner from Reedville Market one night and pizza from the Dairy Barn on Friday. Both were excellent. The ice cream shop was also great.
We also found a small public beach nearby (Vir-Mar Beach) that was perfect for the kids to play and splash around on.
We can’t wait to come back!

We LOVED staying Up Yonda! Plenty of space, beautiful location and Mark and Erin were great hosts. Having coffee, the linens and the special additions were so appreciated! The private dock was awesome along with the yard games! I highly recommend this property for a special place to make memories!

Super great spot with plenty of activities to keep adults and children busy. The owners keep their property in great shape and the check in and out process was easy. Great little welcoming book to tell guests what is nearby. We will definitely consider UpYonda again!

Overall our stay was very nice. The house was very clean and had all the amenities listed. The only thing that was a big disappointment was that there were jelly fish in the river and we did not feel comfortable kayaking. The possibility of jelly fish was not mentioned in the description of this rental property. It was mentioned in the guest book set out on the dining room table in the rental property.

Incredible location overlooking the water. Enjoyed sitting outside with morning coffee and evening glass of wine. Weather prevented us from using kayaks but look forward to trying at our next stay.

Up Yonda was clean, spacious and allowed for plenty of room for our family of 5 plus our Aussie Blue!
Even though the weather was cool we managed to get the kayaks and paddle boat in the water, and played many a cornhole game! We lit a fire at night and relaxed with s’mores.
The location is perfect, a short drive to plenty of nature trails and the town of Kilamarnock where we found great food and shops!
We will definitely return!

Erin and Mark were very accommodating to us, and the Christmas decorations were definitely a plus!
Will definitely visit again.

We go to Reedeville annually and have just found our new annual rental for the whole family. The scenery is beautiful and our family was able to completely relax. We loved it and will be back!!

This has been by far, the best property that my family and I have ever rented. Mark and Erin were wonderful to communicate with, and their home was just as wonderful. It was well-stocked, clean, and had an awesome view. The view was even more beautiful on the water with the kayaks and canoes Erin and Mark allow guests to use. We would love come back to this home to make more memories! Thanks for having us!!

Had a great time. So relaxing. The property was exactly as advertised, crabs were abundant and weather was perfect. Everything needed to cook yummy meals. My only complaint, if you could call it that was limited tv channels

Our family of 6 from New Jersey loved our experience at this property! The home, the crabbing, the view, the games and the property management was all wonderful. The view of the water, with the fields of corn in the background was so picturesque. My family enjoyed an abundance of fresh crabs straight from the dock. Thank you for the many memories that will last our lifetime. We will definitely return one day!

First rate from start to finish. Home was ultra clean with plenty of space and lots of available amenities. Great neighborhood, plenty of privacy, right on the water.

Perfect vacation rental!
Our family loved this home! We've already booked it again for next year. Marina was very close and the dock was great for our boat. We crabbed and boated all week and had a great time. We had everything we needed at the house and then some. Up Yonda is a great place to relax, unplug and unwind. This is just what our family needed.

Loved our second stay even more!
After a great work/homeschooling getaway in February with my husband and kids, we returned in July with the addition of my mom. We enjoyed this visit even more! The property is comfortable, clean and well-stocked and the hosts are very responsive. We made use of the provided kayaks, crab traps (we caught over 5 dozen keepers in 6 days!), fishing poles, hot tub and yard games. Loved enjoying the sun sets from the dock. Ventures out included the fun, free, little Sunnybank Ferry; Vir-Mar beach (tiny nearby beach); Wicomico Oyster Company for fresh, farmed oysters; Little River Seafood Market for crab cakes and great ice cream sandwiches; Little River Market & Deli for great friend chicken; and the Compass Entertainment Complex for movies, indoor ropes course, go-karts, mini golf and arcade - a big hit with our 12-year-old twins. Recommend Butler's Bait for crab trap bait. Can't wait to go back to Up Yonda again!!!

My friends and I loved staying here! We are all young adults (<20) and loved kayaking, using the hot tub, playing badminton, laying out on the dock, and so much more! The house has a lot of privacy while also being a short drive into town, so it was the best of both worlds!

Couldn't use the hot tub it was nasty and smelled bad.Dirty underwear in the upstairs closet. The upstairs bedroom and bathroom we're so hot you couldn't stand to sleep up there had to go buy fan. There was hair and dead fleas in the bed. The downstairs commode lid was broke.
