The restaurants were amazing, staff and food alike!
The beds were like sleeping on a slab of concrete.

The location was great, the rooms were beautiful, lots of different food options were near, and the staff were super helpful.
I paid for valet parking but ended up having to just park my own car for the remainder of my stay. The valet parking service should be a bit more organized if it’s going to be offered.

The staff was very helpful and was across from my venue I was there to attend. Room was comfortable as was the bed. Do like the motion detection light in the bathroom. Had a safe in the room which was not expected. Handheld wand in bathroom was very nice for those hard to reach areas.
The water pressure in the bathroom shower was low so could only use one setting but the handheld helped. Valet did not have anyone available to park a manual shift. Confusing elevators, and elevators do not seem to recognize when you are still in the door. The mini fridge was not cool when I arrived. No ice bucket in the room.

The property was beautiful. Every space was curated perfectly.

Breakfast was fine. Hotel access from the parking garage was horrible.
Desk clerk at at check denied my credit card when there was nothing wrong with the credit card.

Very nice and clean
I wasn’t able to amend my reservation price to include a AAA discount. The Marriott said they couldn’t do it since I made reservations through a third party.

The privacy and security of elevators and the escort and explanation to use.them. oh and the automatic curtains... Super cool.
The ice machine is on the 6th floor but I wouldn't have known that if I hadn't called the front desk. It might be stated somewhere but it wasn't obvious.
Also, the creamer that was in the coffee/tea box... Was old and curdled so that needs to be looked at better.
Having to pay $50 for parking on top of $500 per night stay. Seems like parking should be free at that rate.

location is everything, also this Mareiott has two restaurants, and breakfast onsite. we walked everywhere all weekend, no issues.
the parking situation is strange. they don’t own the parking deck, but if you are leaving multiple with your car it makes since to just do the valet the hotels offers. it’s expensive but the parking deck is expensive if you leave mutiple times.

Restaurants were excellent. Location was ideal. Valet parking, although expensive, every efficient.
Service charge for room service. A pot of coffee cost $18.

The location.
The water was FREEZING cold.
I stayed for one night and took two ice cold showers - not by choice. The water was ice cold from the shower and ice cold from the sink as well. I was so looking forward to a nice warm shower as it was so cold outside and I had just driven 6 hours. Instead, I got an ice cold shower both times. Very disappointing considering the price and my expectation from previous Marriott Hotels.

Their lounge was wonderful and very convenient. We enjoyed the oyster bar and the offerings were ample. The room and bed were comfortable and clean. The location was fantastic for walking and sight seeing. Will definitely stay here every time we visit Charlotte. Well worth the money!
The steakhouse. Awful and overpriced!

Allowed for early check-in. Great central location. Smelled amazing! Very clean. Eating options on site. Room service was speedy. Valets were quick and friendly.
The spa services were overpriced in our opinion. The overall spa experience / amenities were very nice, but our entire group agreed that we wouldn’t pay that much ever again - especially when we can get the same services for half the price elsewhere. No shade to our masseuses…they were good. I’m thinking the high prices are to offset the overhead.

Great options for lunch/dinner without even leaving the property. All of the staff went above and beyond to accommodate requests. Really enjoyed the spa and Dean’s Italian Steakhouse.
I do not have any negative opinions about the property.

The hotel was beautiful. Everything was clean and very well decorated. Check in and restaurant staff was wonderful and always greeted us with a smile. The two restaurants are absolutely outstanding. We had dinner at Caroline’s and breakfast at Dean’s and both were some of the best in-hotel dining I’ve ever experienced. Staying at this property was well worth every penny and we will be back!
One small issue we had was on the first day we checked in. Once we got comfortable in our room hotel staff came over the loud speakers and said they would be conducting a fire alarm test that would last two hours. We were in bed trying to nap when the alarms started to go off for 10 minutes. Suddenly a hotel employee opened our door and walked into our room without knocking. After she left, we went into the hallway to ask why she just came into our room and she did not apologize at all just said “we are testing the alarms.” Put us a bit on edge right at the beginning of our stay.

As always we enjoy being in the heart of the city. The staff is always helpful and the rooms always meet our expectations in comfort and cleanliness.
Our only complaints is that as wonderful as the hotel is one ice machine on the 6th floor is a total inconvenience. And you would expect it to be just as appeasing as the rooms however it was rusty and leaking. Also there was little to no hot water in the shower. Our sinks were hot, but not the shower which is the most important factor for us.

View from the room and friendly staff
Water bottles were not sealed that were in the room and stains on sheets. They did promptly change them and did not mention the water bottle caps not being sealed as it was towards the end of my stay.

The room was decent, the internet worked well, and the shower was warm.
When I arrived I had 4 bags, because I'm traveling for a month, not one person helped me with my bags. They just watched me struggle to check in and then to my room. When I got to my room the room was hot and stuffy. The room was nothing special, just like any other room in any other hotel. When I checked out I once again had no help with my bags. Not worth the large price tag at all.

Great location and view… enjoyed the room in its entirety.
I was expecting a king size bed but it seemed smaller somehow.

Modern, clean, spacious. Loved the elevator efficiency.
Feathered pillows. Smell awful and I believe made me sleep poorly because my sinuses filled up overnight. I should have called the front desk for down alternative. Frankly they should be stocked in the closet. As well as blanket for those who cant sleep w a full comforter.

Besides the noise, it was all very good
Very very noisy, some type of festival just a block away.

Every encounter with staff in all realms were great. Everyone we encountered were friendly and hospitable. The aesthetics of the room and bathroom were gorgeous. The breakfast and service in the executive lounge was top tier. The location was great in general and conveniently located near the stadium. My experience was so great, I literally searched where all JW Marriott properties were located. Of course, I’d stay at the JW Marriott Charlotte if I fly to Charlotte in the future.
The view from our room was lackluster due to construction. We were on the 20th floor that overlooked an adjacent building that was actively under construction. However, certain things are out of JW Marriott’s control.
