About this apartment rental

Situated in a beautiful and rural area of North Dorset on a working farm, with extensive views of Bulbarrow and The Blackmore Vale, Bracken is one of three unique, detached eco retreats, constructed to an exceptionally high standard in 2020.

The light and spacious, open-plan accommodation is all on the ground floor with cosy under-floor heating throughout, courtesy of the ground source heat pump. If the weather isn't kind, snuggle up around the wood burning stove. When night draws in, open the bi-folding doors and star-gaze in your very own wood fired hot tub. The kitchen is the perfect place to cook up some locally sourced ingredients whilst admiring the view.

Sleeping up to six guests in three bedrooms (two with king-size beds and a third with twin single beds), each with their own en-suite shower room, Bracken is an ideal choice for a wonderful Dorset break with family or friends.
Outside, the terrace and garden enjoy breath-taking, far-reaching rural views, not to mention the decadent hot tub.

Three modern eco properties in a semi isolated location, with amazing views. Tucked away at the end in a country lane, with access to a local pub and shop a mile away. Properties are well equipped and kitchen is particularly well appointed with granite work tops and a Neff oven and hob. All three bedrooms are on the smaller side (but still adequate) but this does allow for generous living accommodation, and all three bedrooms have en-suites. The log burner was also a welcome addition. The wood fired hot tub is excellent, it takes a while to heat up, but once hot enough we spent hours in there. The owners have a large supply of logs, so we didn’t run out. There is very little light pollution so if you get clear skies it is good to sit in the tub and star gaze. The view from the ample garden is breathtaking. Access to the excellent local pub is a mile away down a quiet country lane with a short cut across fields at the end. We went in November and the lane was muddy and flooded in places, but still passable, so take wellies! The local shop is well stocked and the frozen curries they sold were particularly good. We think these properties are excellent value and we were surprised with the quality and views.

Just returned from our first stay at this property - and will definitely be returning! The views were amazing, very peaceful, great base to explore the surrounding areas, and the owners have done a great job in the design and layout of the properties as well as thinking of everything you need within the house to enjoy your holiday. Hot tub was an added bonus. Great local pub for food within short walk across the fields too.

The lodge was as described and had everything we needed. It was located in such a peaceful location, the only noise being that of the cows in the field. Lovely break.

We had a lovely week here. 20 minutes from monkey world, 40-50 from the coast and durdle door etc. The accomodation is v private bar the cows and peaceful.. No flight path or road noise. we sign posted, good local pub, ok farm shop. Great hot tub, well fitted kitchen, fast internet 50gb, O2 and vodafone coverage at 1-2 bars. just delightful and the owners there if you need them but not intrusive at all. will go again, thank you!

The fotos on the hideaway site do not do the property justice.A spotless well organised chalet with a great deal of thought put into it for the benefit of the consumer.Regrettably we had to leave early due to sickness, but will be back!

A Dorset gem
A Dorset gem
We wanted a much needed break with our family and found this lovely accommodation. The lodge (one of three on the site) was well separated from the others with high banks covered in wild flowers and excellent outside space ensuring privacy. The view from the patio was stunning and we had very good weather which always helps. Inside the lodge was larger than we expected with a spacious kitchen area, comfortable seating around the log stove and good dining area, all open plan. The three bedrooms each with ensuite were very comfortable with good quality linen. The build quality of the lodges was very high and the effect overall was of a really comfortable place to stay. The hot tub was popular and worked well although it took a few hours to fully heat up so plan that in. All wood and kindling was supplied and the owners had also left a generous welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits. The location is very quiet which was exactly what we wanted and the nearby pub served a good choice of meals. It does take a while to drive along the narrow lanes to the lodges but we got used to being careful and generally the traffic was very light. Lots of things to do and see in the area and we will look to return again.
