I liked that it was clean and had a/c
I don’t think it can be called a hostal. It’s more like a hotel. No shared kitchen and in the middle of a very local town that didn’t feel welcoming. I also didn’t like that we had to ring the buzzer in order to leave and come back in. I think a key should be givin to guests for the gate.

Very close to the airport (5 min) and a little bit far of he center of Cartagena (10 min), but you can use Uber and it only 9-10 000 cop (around 2,80$ CAD) per ride. Sebastian was a great owner, very patient with us (we speak a bit of spanish), he is always avaible if you need something.
I reccommend this place if you are just looking for a night or two. It is more in the local side of Cartagena, you don't have a lot of tourism, but we feel very secure there.
I would reccomend this place 100%.

they stored our luggage for us and let us shower after we had checked out. generous and really showed kindness of staff. air conditioning was really good
our room was down graded we had no floor space or ventilation. wifi didn’t work majority of the time and we were charged more at the property than what was on Booking.com. you also don’t have a key to let yourself out of the property and so the staff have to let you in and out, I don’t understand why we weren’t just given a key.

It is located close to the beach in a (longer but well doable) walking distance to more beaches and the old city. The owner is really welcoming young man and was there to help us at any moment !
There is not a lot of space to unpack your bag, however it makes the room feel comfy.

The owners - two brothers are very friendly, helpful guys. Room is very basic- just a bed and nothing else. Toilette/ shower is inside the room and works OK. Everything is very clean. WiFi connection is efficient and reliable. Breakfast is included in the price but do not expect much to eat - just "arepa" (local pancake stuffed with egg, meat and cheese, tastefull) and glas of juice. Generally, it is a good place to stay one or two nights, specially if you have to be close to the airport.

I had an excellent stay at Cartagena Sun Hostel. The room was exactly as represented online, and Sebastien was a great host. The Room was well-equipped with comfortable bed, oscillating fan, and a nice, private bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. The Hostel provided toiletries and a towel, and the breakfast was delicious. The hostel is very close to the airport and can be walked to if you are adventurous like me in 10-15 mins, depending on your pace, or a short, cheap taxi ride. The neighborhood is vibrant and there are places to eat close by. Book with confidence. I highly recommend it!
