We visited in early august so the water near the house was really warm. It felt great on the cooler days but too hot on the really hot days. As shown in the photos, there is not a “beach” spot to get directly into the water. We used tubes off of the dock, sups, kayaks, etc. We were traveling with small kids (1+3) and the spot by the lake on the property had some great shade. There isn’t grass or anything for the littlest one to crawl around down by the lake point but we put her in a tube with a bottom and she liked playing down there under the trees when she wasn’t in the water. They have a great yard to play in with grass, a fire pit, swings, hammocks, and some yard games. We liked that there wasn’t a tv in the upstairs living room. Easy walk down to the lake access. We rented a pontoon boat a couple of days from the marina and it was really nice to be able to see other parts of the lake and swim in the cooler areas. We also visited the beach at the state park which was great for the little ones. Really great place to stay!!

We had a wonderful time at the lake! This is our second time at this home and we absolutely love it! We plan to come back every year. We brought our pontoon boat again and parked it right at the dock. The kids loved the two swings on property and s’mores at the fire pit was enjoyed by the whole family on the cool nights. Lots of yard games and indoor games for if there were rainy days. There were plenty of places to sleep with 5 beds and there were some bonus bunk beds we noticed were added since our last stay. Plenty of couches and foldout beds too! We love how this home is a close walk to the water but also private and with plenty of shade. See you next year or maybe even this fall! The EV quick charger you have is a big plus for our friends that will come to visit with us next time!!

We had a great time staying in this house for the Christmas and New Year. Close to the lake and a lot of spaces for everyone.

House was clean and well stocked. Was a little farther away from lake than pix showed but ok. Plenty of activities to keep busy during your stay.

The home itself was clean and welcoming. Overall we had a nice time. We where really looking forward to being on the water which didn't happen.
The kitchen did have the basic necessities for preparing meals but the pots and pan were in poor condition and not cleaned very well. There was a leak under the kitchen sink with a bowl to catch the water that was brown and smelled very bad when we entered the kitchen.
The firepit was enjoyable however the water equipment the shed ( which was left open) was very disappointing. We choose this home for the advertised kayaks which were missing the stops allowing water to come to the kayaks making it to cold to enjoy and not really doable in October. The paddleboat had several leaks and took on a lot of water we were out maybe 15 minutes when it was clear we were sinking. The boat took about 15 minutes to drain on its side which you had to do because there was so much water in the boat it was impossible for 2 people to lift. In my opinion it was unsafe.

The house was just what we needed. Very peaceful and quiet.

Everything was perfect. The house sleeps a large group. There is plenty of functional outdoor space for you to stay outdoors the whole time, but the inside of the home is great! You are short walk from the dock, so bring your fishing rods. Tire swings are in place to keep the kids entertained. I recommend this beautiful home to anyone who wants to vacation at Lake Anna.

We had a lovely weekend stay. Perfect spot, not too far from the water but close enough you can’t hear the other boats and jet skis in the water.
The house was clean comfortable lots of space and well equipped. We had a great time with the kayaks and SUP.
There was a supermarket not too far and Vito’s pizza was a good lunch treat and they were quick.
We’ll definitely try to come back again and will recommend to others. 😊

The home was perfect for the 2 of us and having the shade was perfect for sitting on the screened porch - that's where we spent all of our time! Had everything needed inside and out. So great to get away - and thank you to the wonderful owner and vacasa for working with us on everything to get us in (our original rental home suddenly became unavailable the night before our arrival).

We had a wonderful long weekend at this property. The house was beautiful, clean, and well kept. There was plenty of space for our family with 3 kids and 6 adults. As stated in other reviews, it is a walk down to the water, but the gravel road is not used by anyone else. The boat house comes with a TON of water toys - paddle board, paddle boat, kayaks, and fishing gear along with lots of life jackets for all sizes. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

The house was spacious and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc. The house is not lakefront, but does have a great view of the lake from the deck and it’s just a short walk down the gravel road to the private dock and ramp.

We had a great time and the layout was great for our family group. We had 9 adults and one toddler. The provisions overall were fine however, we did not have enough dishwasher soap and were very close on toilet paper. One bed did not have a flat sheet and there was no extra sheets or blankets.
Even though it was December the weather was so warm we were able to enjoy the paddleboat and the fire pit.
Overall it was a great stay!

Spent a few quiet days enjoying the house, scenery, and water. The house was extremely comfortable with modern appointments and loads of space to entertain indoors and outside. Spent a lot of time on the boat fishing and taking in the scenery. The clear sky at night was a beautiful highlight of the trip. Also enjoyed boating, fishing, reading, and a cigar on the deck. This place is perfectly situated to feel removed from the hustle of work life but still has access to grocery stores, local highlights, and other resources.

The Lakehouse on Lake Anna was the highlight of my summer. Spending time with family and friends boating, kayaking and swimming was perfect. Superb house on the lake with plenty of class, warmth and beautifully decorated. Can’t wait until next year!

Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed our stay and made the best of a disappointing situation. The lot is a "flag" lot on the lake. Meaning, the lake is about a short block away and you can't see the lake from the house. We had several things go wrong and reported the dryer not working which took days to be looked at. The dryer never got fixed and then the crummy grill was not working. No one ever responded. WiFi was really bad. But we made the best of things, just disappointed in the high price we paid for a no-view home.

Lovin` Lake Life is a special property - so peaceful!! I loved having privacy, being in the trees and enjoying nature while also being able to experience lake life. The house was super clean and property was well-maintained. We felt comfortable from the moment we arrived.
Also, we appreciated that everything we needed to enjoy our vacation was provided for us - from the kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals to the laundry room to the games in the basement and everything in between.
We especially enjoyed having access to the kayaks and paddleboat (and life vests of many sizes) with easy ability to launch right into the water. The paddleboat especially a nice touch for the kids!
We also really appreciated the location because the property itself is private but you still have easy access to groceries, and a winery, brewery and other entertainment.
Overall we had a great experience and I`d highly recommend this property for your next getaway with friends or family or both.

This home had everything we could have asked for. A well stocked kitchen, beautifully furnished, tons of water activities (kayaks, life vests, paddle boats etc). The beds were comfortable, kitchen was a dream to cook in, beautiful view from the deck. Dock and boat ramp were perfect for little ones to play in the lake. Very kid friendly home, lots of nice touches. A couple of small issues were taken care of within a couple of hours of calling. The gentleman that came out to fix them was very nice and professional. Will absolutely be back in the future.

Lovin' Lake Life was the perfect place to spend a mid-week getaway! The quaint two level house is well appointed, maintained and clean with enough room inside and out for everyone to comfortably spread out. Outside the property is on a large wooded lot that leads to a quiet cove off of Lake Anna with a number of outdoor amenities including kayaks at the dock, fire-pit surrounded by trees and a nice two-story porch for hanging out while the food is cooking on the grill. If you like what you see in the photos then staying here in person should meet your vacation expectations as everything is as advertised (except the fish… those are bigger than I would have ever expected). Thanks again for the nice stay!
