Beachfront, quiet house, nice parking situation

Enough space with extra living rooms to spread out. Outdated and needs very basic attention.

We had a wonderful trip the house was perfect and plenty of room for everyone will definitely be back next year.

It was a home away from home. Very clean and great area

The home was well equipped with all and any cooking supplies, beds were clean and comfy, the view was AMAZING! When on the top floor you can watch the beautiful waves. The home was very very spacious, the pool and hot tub was fabulous! We have had a very great experience with Vacasa for the past 3 years. The only thing that bothered us (note: this has nothing to do with vacasa, or the home) but the walk to the beach wasn't bad at all but be prepared to step on cactus and the little prickle plants, they will get inbedded onto the bottoms of your shoes and be tracked in the house. They do not feel very good 😅 but the home in itself was wonderful! Very clean!

This is a nice house, however during my stay we did have the unfortunate experience of having palmetto bugs (part of the cockroach family) start with us as well. Vacasa did send somebody to come spray and they did refund me my cleaning fee for this among a few other things, including dead flies in the windows, dusty ceiling fans and light fixtures, pealing paint, and a brown substance on the one bedroom wall to name a few. There were other issues with this home such as broken pictures stored in the closet, mirrors leaning up against walls on the floor and most importantly old wood and rusty nails on the decks. The top floor deck spindles came loose and had multiple rusted screws which aren’t safe for adults let alone the 2 small children that I had with me. The carpet in the living room/dining area definitely needs replaced as it has multiple stains throughout. In regards to the bedrooms, practically all bed frames are loose and all of the mattresses are old and need replaced. The pool area also has lifting cement which is a fall hazard and the walk to the beach will definitely give you a work out! I would definitely not recommend this home for a family with young children or the elderly.

The house was not ready until 6 PM and old linens remained on the deck during entire week. Never picked up by Vacasa. Overall, the house was superficially cleaned. One bed had dirty sheets.

House was very adequate from a size and bedroom perspective but is in need of some repairs, upgrades, and a very thorough cleaning. Sliding doors stick. Screens and closet doors off track. Light fixtures dirty and multiple bulbs are out. Pads on bench are torn. Swivel chair should just be replaced. Several mattresses should be replaced. Top level bedroom headboard is beyond its useful life. Pool was nice size as well as hot tub but pool and outside shower area had a lot of debris and left behind items. Apparently $10K for a week isn’t enough to keep this house up to date and clean.

The house was beautiful but the furniture was so very uncomfortable, especially in the living room

The house was a great location, the double high sand dunes-although a bit high to fully enjoy ocean view-it protects the house and pool, where other houses south we have stayed in before-the pool has been filled in already by previous storms. The house layout was set up nicely and main kitchen/living/dining room area was great for our group to gather for drinks and dinner. The house does need some updates and upkeep such as nails sticking up on stairs and decks, few windows screens in the bedrooms are completely missing so had no choice to use the AC, which we would have loved to hear the waves at night. Also there was random stuff in almost every closet and also outside was piles of broken chairs and disorganized by the pool. The pool and hot tub was great but the hot tub cover def. has seen better days. The kitchen was so disorganized and not very well equipped. Definitely can use more glasses and wine glasses, also more pans. The garbage bin was broken and also the basketball net.
Overall we would book this house again but would like to See some of the above looked after.
We love Hatty! Xo

We had a very enjoyable stay in July 2022. We did experience some initial disappointment when we didn't have linens for one of the king master bedrooms, but that didn't detract from the overall great vacation that we had. It takes two or three minutes to walk along the path over the dune to get to the ocean, and we really enjoyed being so close. The pool and hot tub were great!

The house is great for a group, nice big living area on top floor with a dining table to seat a large family. Decks could use some repair, especially the steps leading from the second floor down to the pool area. You can’t see the beach from the top deck which was disappointing but you could hear the ocean. Rooms were spacious and beds were fine. Walk to the beach is not what we expected. Long walk and the bushes are overgrown so the pathway is small and at times seemed treacherous. Pool was a good size but concrete around the pool needs help. Easy for little ones to trip because there are parts that are sticking straight up. Overall it’s a nice house but could use some tlc.

Wonderful house
Our new favorite house in Avon! House was ready and available earlier than expected and was impeccably clean. Pool was cleaned and usable immediately. Communication with Hatteras Realty was perfect. Looking forward to our next stay here

Amazing views
We loved almost everything about Ocean Song. The nice deep dunes were gorgeous, and the beach got wide on either side of where we accessed it. The house was comfortable and had ample living areas (one on each floor). The kitchen was well-appointed.
Problems: Vacasa did not respond to our request to have the outside shower turned on or to tell us how to get the gas fireplace working (we were there for Thanksgiving.) Worst part was that the top rack of the dishwasher had a broken sprayer and they never fixed it. Or made any offer of a rebate. We washed a lot of dishes by hand this week!

Ocean Song Stay
The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The walk to the beach was very difficult. We had to go to the pier to access the beach. The beds are super hard and very uncomfortable bring I recommend bringing a mattress pad.

Nice house. Plenty of room. Hard walk to the beach though

This place is well laid out and could be nice, but it's so horribly neglected. We had a ton of complaints. You won't get any sleep here. These beds are like concrete. We fought over which couch to sleep on, and if you were on the third floor - tough luck! No blinds on that floor, so if you are trying to sleep on the couch, the neighbors watch you sleep, and you wake up with the sun. The neighbors also get to watch you cook and dine and whatever else you'll do in the central part of the house. Note that the hot tub is directly outside the window for the kids room with the bunk beds, so if you wanted to get in the hot tub after putting little ones in bed, think again. Speaking of kids, don't let little ones near the dishwasher if it's running. It doesn't lock. The hot water is turned up so high we all got burned at least once, so we were really lucky when our five year old didn't get burned by the dishwasher when she opened it mid cycle and got boiling hot water everywhere. Oh, and the dishwasher manages to get the dishes dirtier than before they went in. And bring detergent and a sponge - they will only provide the bare minimum, so there's not enough soap and not a single kitchen towel, wash cloth, scrubby, or anything else.We had rusty nails sticking up or rolling around all over the decks, lots of broken drawers, screens falling off, broken appliances, mold in windows and showers, and the linens they provided were a joke. You get super thin cotton sheets that have pen marks all over them and the thinnest fleece blankets ever, like airplane blankets. They don't even have comforters. And the kitchen doesn't even have a single heat safe cooking utensil. So many melted plastic spoons and scratched up pans from folks using whatever they can find to cook. Even though the view is almost completely obstructed by the dunes, we would have enjoyed the decks, but the neighbor's furnace/AC was so loud we couldn't even hear the ocean. All around awful experience, really. We complained, but Vacasa wasn't helpful. We made do and found ways to enjoy ourselves, and the location was decent, but we'd never stay with Vacasa again, and we don't recommend this house until maintenance gets in there and gets it back in working order.

Beautiful & homey. Enjoyed our stay. Perfect for our family.

House needs lots of help!
There is black mold in the bottom vent going out to the pool - NOT good when you have a kid with asthma staying in the house. The beds were ALL uncomfortable, the pillows were stained and gross along with the mattress pad. The toaster only worked on 1 side, there where many outlets that didn't work on the top floor. The deck had tons of splinters and needed to be redone. The couch has a large split/hole in the back of it. One of the TVs in the bedroom didn't work. If you want quality people to come back and visit, the house needs to kept up for vacationers visiting with their families.

House was ok, had quite a few maintenance issues.
Beach is nice and close. Pool was good. Hot tub jets weren't the strongest. Multiple pool chairs were broken and unusable. Toaster didn't work. There was a sewage backup into the bathtub every time we used the washing machine and it drained. Called and a maintance guy came and said he fixed it but it still kept happening. The septic tanks were full and starting to leak raw sewage and toilet paper into the yard.
