A convenient hotel for a few days — ideal for work

The hotel is well located. It is close to the airport and right next to a nice local restaurant—La Mer Rouge with a nice selection of local meals (fresh fish, fresh seafood and great meat)

The breakfast could be improved. A bit basic.

Double charged even after showing evidence prepayment was made !

My sister as always looked after me .Houd the accountant did everything he could to help. Thank you so much

I have stayed here a couple of times and have found the staff attentive, competent and respectful .Upon leaving and having prepaid for my trip and shown evidence of this. The man at reception charged me a further 119000 djibouti francs without me knowing! When he showed me his computer screen on reception it showed i owed 183 djibouti franc which is about 50 cents .how he came to 119000 God only knows!! That really hindered my onward travel arrangements as all banks in djibouti are closed on Friday. Now 3 weeks on. No refund processed. God knows when I will be reimbursed. Will not be staying here again.

I think the business is running in bad shape.

they are very friendly. I got a free shuttle bus ride to the airport

in the room there was no tea or coffee, cups for any hot drinks. the breakfast quality was poor and not fresh. the restaurant charge lunch very high with sandwiches meal.

It wasn't a happy stay

The hotel is small, network was unstable and some of the staff were not helpful at all. I tried to exchange USD into local currency, but the staff was neither helping me to do the exchange nor advising me where to get changed, even though i wanted to split 100 usd into smaller notes, the staff was still not willing to help. The hotel description says they offer airport shuttle bus, and i sent my flight schedule one day ahead through email, but no one showed up in the very day and i had to take a taxi to get to the hotel.

Not Happy about the behaviour of the management

Not much options , very limited types of food was served

They billed someone's else food invoice to my account !! I was not Happy about , they argued when I complained,

The stay was OK

Helpful and friendly staff

WiFi was abysmally bad, only after getting a repeater for the room it improved, time between ordering food and beverages in the restaurant and actually getting it served was too long - even for scrambled eggs for breakfast. Breakfast options are limited and staff not refilling empty containers and trays on time and staff actually absent from the restaurant.

From the breakfast, the croissant is great as well as the fruits, everything else very average And if it wasn't for Ilham (receptionist lady) who made my stay in Djibouti very good, Thumbs up for her :)

close to the airport.

Good staff to fix the problems that arose during my stay. Comfortable room. The breakfast was good.

Room 110 had a leaking air con which they said had been an issue for a week. My room key which was given to me was a master key which opened 3 different rooms. Location - I have will stay down town next time for more restaurant options.

Good Value for money " Got 5star value for 3star price",&clean hotel

1.Breakfast was included in the price. 2. The hotel is very clean and service was quick&friendly. 3. The only downside, I can remember is there was no business center in the lobby (I'm a biz traveller). Sometimes u need to print stuff. Anyway I told the front desk and she noted it and it will be something they will attend to. 4. Djibouti is expensive, so I got lucky with this medium price hotel with 5star service& value

Stuff they need to work on, pls consider putting a small exercise room (thread Mill, exercise bike, some wts) for the biz traveller. Also make ursrlf more visible to visitors going to Djibouti ( maybe more Internet ads, whenever the name "Djibouti, " is input to Google Good luck... I

Cleaning was done well by Mahdia and team while Ilham was helpful from the moment I checked in.

Breakfast was sufficient.

A gym would be a good idea, then a desalination unit to soften the salty borehole water.

Golden hotel is a decent hotel, particularly if you are on a business trip. It's very close to the airport, in a relatively quieter neighborhood. Rooms and services were excellent. Location was a concern to us because it was far from the downtown area. The staff were very very nice and accommodating to all our needs. Particularly thankful to Sabrin for her professional and friendly approach and taking care of our needs.

Great hotel

Had a wonderful time. Cordial and friendly staff truly dedicated to meet the needs of their clients. Tidy and clean. Centrally located next to the airport. Food is great at the restaurant. Highly recommended. Special thanks to Ilhan, Aboubaker, Liban and Guine.

I enjoy gentlemen at the front desk. He was professional, courtesy, and went above his duties to make sure I was comfortable. I look forward to visiting again and seeing him as a manager. The security guard was awesome and made feel safe. The vehicle attendant did a awesome job at making sure my vehicle was not tampered with and secure. I definitely would recommend anyone to stay at the Golden Airport Hotel.

The only issue I had was there was not much water pressure in the room.

My stay at the hotel was very good.

The staff are very friendly, the services were excellent and very hospitable. The breakfast was very good and the location of the hotel is very strategic. The building is brand new and security in and around the hotel is excellent.
